We decided to stop by for an early dinner after my son and I flew into Jacksonville. Culver's is always at the top of my son's favorite places to eat, especially as there aren't any in our home state. We came in and ordering was easy. The poor cashier was very patient with me while I tried to figure out what I wanted since I was so tired and could barely read the menu. I ended up ordering the Sourdough Melt with onion rings and my son a double ButterBurger with cheese and fries. I always opt for the diet root beer as I think Culver's has fantastic root beer. My son loves coke products (me too) so we love their drink options. I do have a problem with cashier's asking if you want sauce for your side but not telling you it will cost extra. That's just not cool to me. Especially since their ranch really sucks. Our food was done quickly. My only issue is the onion rings were not hot, but I was too tired to say anything. The burgers were good, as expected. Overall it's a nice Culver's location. I think there should be some more training for cashier's, but I'd visit again. read more

Happened to be in the area so we decided to make a stop here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Tried to place the order on the app because of the 25% discount, but it kept throwing an error message. Wasn't sure if it was the app, or the location not accepting orders. It was packed when we arrived. However we were able to order and find an open table fairly quickly. Food was not all that. I ordered the pretzel burger along with fries. The kids ordered a cheeseburger. Wife had a burger with a cheese patty along with the chili cheese fries. Everyone thought it was meh. We checked out the Jacksonville Culver's after going to the Arboretum. We ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich (adding lettuce and tomatoes) and the fries. We alternate ordering that vs. a burger whenever we eat at a Culver's. We enjoyed our lunch and even saved a little room for desert. We completed the survey on our receipt that could be redeemed for a free small scoop. Also ordered a small cookies and cream concrete. It had been a while since Hubby and I had ordered concretes from Culver's. We decided to stop in for an afternoon treat. The place was absolutely packed! We waited in line for a few minutes while we figured out what to order. I decided on a mini chocolate concrete with butter cake and cookie dough. Hubby went with a small vanilla concrete with chocolate cake and cookie dough. They were delivered to our table in about 10 minutes. The custard was thick and smooth. I usually order at Culver's through the drive-thru and know the routine: they give you a number, you park, and wait for your food. This time, I was in a time crunch and ordered ahead on DoorDash, planning to pick it up at the drive-thru. Other places like Chick-fil-A and McDonald's allow this, so I didn't expect a problem. When I got to the drive-thru, the employee told me DoorDash orders must be picked up inside. I explained that I have mobility issues and that's why I needed drive-thru pickup. She said she'd check with the manager, but came back saying I still had to go inside. I parked in the disability spot and went in, only to find there was no dedicated area for DoorDash orders. I had to wait in line like everyone else. The person who helped me (possibly the manager) apologized and said they didn't know I'd be coming in with a cane, and suggested I mention that next time. I told her I had already told the drive-thru worker about my mobility issues, but that detail was ignored. The only reason I gave an extra star is because she at least apologized. Forcing someone with mobility challenges to come inside is not acceptable and could be considered an ADA violation. Culver's needs to improve its customer service and accessibility. When McDonald's has a better system, that says a lot. The food isn't good enough to justify this hassle. read more

The restaurant has its own drive-thru, or you could go inside the restaurant and order in there, where you have polite waiters who bring you your mouth-watering orders that you choose from the menus. The restaurants are nice, polite, like local family to me, and have bar-like seats and tables you can sit at and watch TV along with the rows of traditional tables and chairs! This place tried to kill me.... twice. I am allergic to tomatoes, I ordered a sandwich with no tomatoes which of course was given to me with them. I didn't know til I was back at work and learned I was going to go without lunch that day. I called the store and told them of the issue and the owner pleaded with me to allow him to make it up to me and that they would put my receipt into some book and next time I come in they will remake the entire order for me. I agreed and the following week I went in to claim this remake. To be clear they KNEW they were remaking the lunch because the last one had tomatoes and I was unable to eat it. I take the sandwich home and take a bite thinking there is no possible way they would screw it up a second time. I was very wrong and sure enough there was a giant slice of tomato on it. I called and told them the issue and that I would no longer be going to the place of business and if I end up in the hospital for taking a bite of it that a lawsuit would soon follow. Luckily some meds kept me ok but that's the second and last time I will allow this place to potentially kill me. I will never be back. read more

After the movies we went to Culver's for dinner. We walk to the counter and ordered no line no wait. The customer service was great. Our order came out extremely fast. The server was super helpful and nice. We order a a kids burger meal, tender basket, bacon deluxe basket and a culver burger basket.. unfortunately we didn't room for dessert because the couple next to us had milk shake that looked amazing. Previously I visited the Culver's off Gate Parkway. I had a single Butter Burger, which was very juicy & pretty darn tasty! Tonight my son and I had our first visit to the brand new Culvers off Monument Road. I got a basket meal with a single Butter Burger, fries & Diet Pepsi. What I actually wanted was Onion Rings, but they were out! Story or my life lol. It seems anytime I want onion rings or a milkshake, no matter where I am, they have run out, or the machine is down, etc. After looking at the fairly extensive frozen custard menu, I really wanted about 7 flavors of sundaes, cups, and cones...but it was about 45 degrees outside and the thought of eating something cold like that didn't thrill me! I do think in the summer, Culver's will do a booming business with the frozen custard! My burger was actually not as delicious as the first I had at the other location. The beef was over cooked and not juicy. You can choose between raw or grilled onions. I chose grilled, but I didn't care for the texture. To me, the onions were sliced too thick to be grilled. A bit soft on the outside, but still raw-ish. The fries are crinkle cut, which are usually my fave, but these just didn't have much flavor. My son had a basket as well, with a Wisconsin Swiss Melt and Cheese Curds. The Swiss Melt is a burger with grilled onions and of course Swiss cheese, served on lightly buttered, grilled rye bread. I tried a few Cheese Curds and they were better than most I've tried. The breading was interesting. We got a Sourdough Melt to take home to my other son. When I asked him how he liked it, he kinda shrugged and said the meat was thin and he had to scrape off the onions. (Oops, didn't realize this sandwich had onions and he does not like them!). Some interesting things you'll find at Culver's that you don't see at many fast food places: Beef Roast & Pork Loin, and mashed potatoes with gravy and also broccoli as sides. I would like to try Culvers Chili. They also have Chili Cheese fries. You probably couldn't go wrong with that! The interior at Culver's is a little more mature, if you will, than most fast food restaurants. It is mainly gray, gray, and gray lol. I did see charging outlets at many tables, which comes in handy. Pepsi products are served at Culver's. Not terribly impressed with tonight's visit, but hey, it's opening week. I will be back when it's warmer out to try some of the frozen delights! read more
