I've always thought Firehouse Subs to be one of the better sub sandwich places around. We stopped in here today to get a sub sandwich and it was a good sandwich. For $10 and some change I got a bacon, lettuce & tomato sub, extra bacon on white bread and with a touch of mayo. Although I don't think there was extra bacon on it, the sandwich was enjoyable and tasty. It came with a yummy pickle spear. Adding a drink and bag of chips was extra as a combo. The signs everywhere were a big turn off. The owner or general manager of this store needs to get a grip. If you have to place signs in your bathroom instructing employees what to clean and customers how to flush, maybe this business is not for you. Everywhere you turned another condescending sign. The employees were laughing about how disgusting the lobby was. The drink station was even worse. The only music playing was distant rap off a speaker behind the counter. I really like firehouse and I always love their food. However, yesterday I ordered a small hook and ladder with chips and drink. I picked it up to go. I ordered it without onions and paid for extra cheese. This sandwich was so sad. No extra cheese, had onions, and was thrown together with very little meat. I know y'all can do better. Their food is always really really good. Their customer service is either hit or miss. it just really depends on who's working, the time of day, and what kind of mood they're in. They are not being rude they just don't seem overly interested in being super duper friendly. But for the most part is never bothered me. because my order is always right. And because their food is so good. I always choose between the New York steamer, an Italian, or the barbecue brisket. I'm still not really sure which is my favorite, which is why I have to rotate. I have never had a bad meal here and I'm sure I'll continue to go to this particular Firehouse location many more times. read more

A new Firehouse and it is not that far from me! I have been hitting Firehouse Subs for years now, actually down in Florida before they really started expanding. The one thing I can say is they are pretty consistent across all the ones I have been in - except sometimes they yell "Welcome to Firehouse" and sometimes they don't. I think that's a manager thing. I first fell in love with their meatball sub but have made the switch to the New York Steamer and I want it Fully Involved. I think I told the cashier all the way, whoops! Well she knew what I meant. I feel sorry for the other sub places, I probably won't be going to them again now that this one has so conveniently opened in a location I drive by about every day. Oh yeah if you have never been here (really?) and like hot sauce they have about any type you could want to go in their pretty darn good chili. And Cherry Lime Aid. Yeah, that's a thing and I love it. I use more than the recommended daily ration of limes in mine. Went to firehouse sub in Hixson, TN. The general manager Tammy was very rude and unprofessional. She kept arguing over a coupon for a free drink and chips with the purchase of a sandwich. I had 2 coupons one for me and one for my son. Coupon clearly said one per customer per day. I told her that me and my child who is old enough to place their own order is a customer as well and we should be able to use the coupon. I brought an older child pay who paid with their own money and she again started to argue that she called her manager and it said one per family per day. I asked her if she saw 4 people get out one car can she assume they all family or can she refuse to let them use the coupon just because they came together. The whole time my order being fixed she continued to harass me and kept saying I'm trying to get you to understand. I said ma'am I do understand that it's one per person so it needs to be 2 orders instead of one. She is definitely rude and Tammy does not need to be in a leadership role. We were pretty impressed with our subs! My husband got roast beef & I got a steak and cheese. My picky toddler even happily split mine with me. The rolls were fresh. The service was friendly, too.. especially for a quick meal! They were a little slow but they are a newer establishment so it was understandable. We will definitely be back. Me and a Friend came in to try out the place. We both ordered our sandwiches within 15 minutes my friends sandwich was ready. I patiently waited for about 40 minutes before I decided to ask what was going on. When i pointed out i had been waiting for 40 minutes and showed my receipt I was told my order had been lost somehow. Went to Firehouse this week for dinner. Really good sandwich, good, friendly customer service. Had good sweet tea and lots of other soft drink choices. Tried the cherry limeade and it was yummy. They had one of those freestyle coke machines, you serve your own drinks. They also have the good chips deli restaurants usually carry. Wide variety of sandwiches, I had the Italian "fully involved" (which means all the trimmings). They had salads which looked really good and chili maybe to try for the next visit. Fresh ingredients, quality meats and the bread is always fresh. I usually order the Hook & Ladder or the Hero sandwich. Both are served warm and fully involved with your choice of fresh veggies. Add chips and a Cherry-Limeade for a little more $. This location features a large painting of the Chattanooga Fire Department's fire boat on the dining room wall.
