Went here a couple weeks ago place was super amazing great burgers always fresh and the people are always so polite

This is a really good hamburger. It's in fact, the best one around Harrison. The service is almost always with a smile. They work hard to make sure your order is fast and correct, however, it isn't precooked. I personally like that. It's locally owned and operated which I also like to support. read more

Depends. Sometime I've been there and the beef tasted old. This has happened at least 3 different times.

One of best hamburgers in town. Breakfast bowl with tots and sausage is excellent. Always good food. The hotdog is deep fried and grilled covered with chili and fixings. It's is a huge meal and delicious. Recommend both breakfast and lunch. read more

This is the best cheeseburger in Chattanooga in my opinion. Just a good old fashioned fried burger with all the toppings at a decent price. 1/4 pound of meat, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mayo and cheese included. No they don't give you a cheese option-its just cheese. From back when cheese was just cheese and all burgers were made with ground beef. So if you are looking for a gourmet $12 burger-this ain't it! If you just want a delicious burger then don't miss this. Also, fabulous sides include the best onion rings. They also have great fripps (fried potatoe chips), cheese sticks and more options. We got a bacon cheeseburger, steak hoagie, and a breakfast plate from Armandos. Price is very reasonable and the food is awesome!!

Ambiance: I've never been inside, but I heard they just did a major renovation in December 2018 or January 2019, so I'm intrigued to stop by and dine in. Food: Onion rings are fantastic, but I always want more, especially for the cost. Why are onion rings so expensive everywhere? I mean onions are a relatively inexpensive vegetable. Burgers have been hit or miss lately in regards to flavor. Some days it taste like the meat is old. Burgers are definitely on the large side, so that's a plus. Value: my wife and I can get a to go order for less money than it costs to go McDonald's. That's a win in my book. read more

Being close to the house I wanted to like this restaurant. Neighbors hesitated when I asked them about it, but finally said the burgers were pretty good. So yesterday, as we were heading home from shopping, we decided to stop for lunch. I wish I hadn't gone inside. First impression? Turn around and walk out; but the place was full of patrons, so we opted to give it a go. Honestly, I don't know why it hasn't been shut down by the health department. There is crap everywhere. Old boxes, adding machines, and who knows what else piled up under the counter where you order. The ceiling tiles were dirty and should have been replaced years ago. The kitchen area was tiny and cluttered. Outside the building there was junk piled up...(you're asking why we stayed, aren't you?). There are newer columns outside making me think someone is slowly trying to clean things up. The young woman taking orders (eat-in and to-go) looked overworked and underpaid. She was curt and without a smile. The burgers were good in that greasy-spoon sort of way. Fries and rings were nothing special. We won't be going back. read more

This Armandos is the best! I had the bacon cheeseburger with chips and a drink for less than a number 6 combo at Taco Bell! What a bargain!! And you talk about DELISH!! I have never had anything that I thought was less than excellent at this restaurant. The staff is friendly and courteous and the food is fantastic! It's a must when up by the park! read more

We got Armando's to go one night when neither of us felt like cooking. The burgers were just as I remembered them from years ago. We leave about 5 minutes from the restaurant so when we got home our burgers were still hot and juicy! The onion rings were great and plenty to share. We'll be back soon. read more

This was probably my 3rd time eating here in the last 3 years. I told my wife to remember how unhappy the employees were the last time we were here. She didn't remember, but after today, she totally agrees. I got the steak hoagie all the way, she got the cheeseburger mustard only. I thought my steak hoagie tasted really good, a bit on the greasy side, but still, really good. She said her cheeseburger was so greasy, that the bun fell apart. We got the seasoned fries also, and they could actually be more seasoned. The cheese sticks were okay, not great. Now, this is mostly why I only gave it 2 stars... The girl that took our order was not rude, but just seemed like that was the last place she wanted to be. She didn't smile ONE time, although she did check on us a couple times to make sure our drinks were full, and food was okay. Lastly, this isn't the first restaurant on Hixson Pike that had no music playing, or any noise from televisions. It is the most awkward thing to be in a restaurant where there is total silence, even when there are several other patrons in there. Not sure if we will return. I'll keep checking the reviews here on Yelp, to see if things have changed any. read more

They recently started serving breakfast. Very large quantities and very good prices. Great tasting home cooked style meals.

We eat here several times a month. Great burger. Real meat and you know there is meat on the burger. Staff always friendly. We went yesterday and my sister and I always share a burger. They cut it in half and we each had a plate. We usually get a extra plate if we are lucky ad cut our self. Love this restaurant read more

First let me say that there are many Armondos restaurants in this area and they are all different (I know this because I've eaten at all of them). The food at the Chester Frost Armondos is excellent and I'm a foodie so I'm hard to please. Make sure you're talking about the right one before bashing it. The Chester Frost Armondos is know as the best place in the area and maybe Chattanooga to get a hamburger. The hamburgers are extremely juicy (not greasy as I know that they use 80/20 lean. The owner soaks them in a special broth to get them that way. My family has eaten there thousands of times and never had a complaint. If you're looking for music or singing staff go to Olive Garden. If you like places that are unique and give you a feeling of down south friendliness with a nearly 100 health inspection (you can see it on the wall), and great food then this is your place! read more

Don't expect too much in the way of atmosphere. It's a dump. But my patty melt was terrific. Great quality beef. Wish it was served on rye instead of bland white bread. And menu has it prepared with mayo. However they DO have 1,000 island dressing in the house and they will substitute it for the mayo. My hubs enjoyed his roast beef sandwich. The onion rings were heavy and greasy. We will go back. Just have to ignore the general grubbiness of the joint! read more

I begged my husband for months to eat at Armandos because I heard such good things about it. I was home alone one night and decided to order it through DoorDash. I ordered chicken fingers. They were so bad. I couldn't even finish them. It tasted like the oil hasn't been changed in awhile because they tasted burnt and gross. I will still give it 3 stars because maybe I shouldn't have gotten tenders? Will return again eventually and try something else. read more

I remembered how Armando's by Hamilton Place mall used to have these amazing burgers and decided to drop in here, assuming they'd be similar. They have the same name but that's about it. The food was edible but not exceptional. It's ok and I'm betting that some things are better than others. It's better than fast food and didn't take forever to get to the table. The food is very good and affordable! I don't understand why people are complaining about how greasy the food is, I mean its a burger joint, its gonna be greasy people! Also I don't think a lot of people realize that Armando's is NOT a fast food place. Yes it has a drive thru window but its primary purpose is for people who have called in to come and pick it up without having to come inside so don't complain when you come up to the window to order and get pulled around while you wait because more than likely the person behind you's food is already ready because they CALLED IT IN! And another thing, once again ITS NOT FAST FOOD all the food is made to order so don't expect it to be ready as soon as you sit down. They actually cook the food when you order it unlike actual fast food places who have food made hours ago sitting on a warmer waiting to be served. So if your looking for a restaurant experience with affordable food Armando's is your place, I feed my family of 4 for under $35 most times! read more
