He told me and I said "I'll have one of those." He reiterated he was making another order first. That's fine. Then his friend walked in, and he excitedly greeted his friend, and immediately walked to the register and asked what he wanted And took his order before mine. Dude, I'm on my lunch break and I don't appreciate you hooking your homie up before me After I patiently waited for you To finish making the pre-ordered sandwiches. I asked him about it and he looked surprised that I even asked, he had no response. No big deal but after I even questioned him about it I simply didnt want him making my food. I've had lunch here twice recently and it was ok. We've tried the Thanksgiving turkey sandwich both times. It's pretty good! It's a sliced cooked turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. And a side of gravy for dipping is $1.00 extra. The gravy is enough for two sandwiches. The service is ok. read more

Visited at 2:30 p.m. on a Friday. One person working the line, one person in back. A stack of drink cups was on the floor behind the counter. Floor in the dining area was dirty. Waited alone awkwardly while employee made the sandwich of the only person seated and waiting on the dining area, before they took my order. Drink machine is STILL out of Mello Yello syrup. There is no longer a hand sanitizer dispenser at the counter. They didn't ask if I want a pickle. I don't know if I'm going to get one or not. read more

Ordered 2 medium hook and ladder sandwiches. The turkey looked like it had been chewed up and put back on sandwiches. Thought they forgot to put the cheese on it. Couldn't find it. The male behind the counter kept putting his hand in his hair without washing his hands. He needed a hair restraint. Been going there for 9 years. Quality has hit bottom. In the past the sandwich's were soggy. Have points to use up. Might be hard. When you carry out it's hard to complain when you get home. Can never find out who is in care there. Awful! My son ordered a large Meatball Sub and received a small and a medium, that was odd and it was ice cold. This makes me wonder about your food temperature protocols. Shouldn't meatballs be hot? My husbands Italian sub was actually soaking wet with mayo and vinegar, his hands were literally dripping from the one bite he took. My tuna was also soaked with mayonnaise, it was gross. We didn't get any pickles or the side of mustard we asked for. The boxes and outside of the bag had tomato sauce all over them which got on my clothes in the car. First time I've been to a Firehouse Sub restaurant. See the commercial for the Brisket & Cheddar sub and wanted to try. Was blown away to find out a 8 inch one costs $7.19! What a ripoff. Got one anyways. Everything was portion controlled- meat and cheese weighed out. Bun was toasty crisp. BBQ sauce didn't do much for me. Doubt I'll go there again. read more

We love firehouse subs, don't get me wrong. Finding them across the US when we travel, as well as when we looking for a quick to-go bite after hiking in East Fork State Park or the Cincinnati Nature Center, has become a habit by now. A habit that we are going to break given that we stopped in yesterday and found that NOT A SINGLE EMPLOYEE was wearing a mask in the middle of a COVID spike in Ohio. NOT a SINGLE one. That's short sighted and irresponsible, not only to employees but also to the community at large. It also shows an utterly selfish disregard for people who work in health care, in an already over burdened industry. We won't be back to this location anytime soon, and we won't spend another dime at any firehouse subs location which shows such disregard for public health. To assume that your location, because it is in Claremont and not Hamilton , is in the clear is to assume that Human brings don't pass the virus on to one another even when they are asymptotic. Firefighters from Jacksonville Florida created this chain. Unique subs, with top notch freash ingredients. Employees are very friendly. The steamer is my favorite, with kettle chips and a dill pickle. Ive eaten at firehouse subs more times than I can remember in 2 different states.
