Now the sandwich in short horrible constructed, huge chucks of fat with the chunks of meat. The meat was well cooked and tasted great but I had to trim the fat off. Then I realized the sandwich was 35% actual meat and 65% sauerkraut. I also have issue with how the meat was cut because that's not how you cut corned beef for a this sandwich.... This place should go to Cafe Lago in Lakeway try an amazing Reuben and take notes.

There was no real herb flavor to the broth, and the torn up lump of matzo hurt my feelings. It soaked up the salty broth well, though, so it tried to do its job, but I wasn't a fan of the overall poor execution. Maybe I'm spoiled after decades of eating Jewish food in Los Angeles, but if you're going to marry Jewish deli with Texas BBQ, we need to see a MF'ing MARRIAGE...not something sitting on the edge of divorce. 2 stars and I won't be back.

I wanted to go to Firehouse Subs with one thing in mind. Free $%@*&#! food! Soooo.. I made a tuna on wheat sandwich and grabbed an open bag of kettle chips from my pantry. They had a chip clip on em to keep them fresh and sanitary. Then I drove my fat a$$ to said Firehouse Subs. Upon arrival I went to each customer asking them to trade their Firehouse sub for my tuna and kettle chips. I was called every name in the book! From fat f*ck to lard a$$! The nerve of these people! Right? One D-bag in a Tap Out shirt threatend to choke me out. The manager told me he was going to call the police. I was like...Hey! I thought fireman and cops didn't get along!?! Then I thought to myself.. Hmmm..If no one wanted to trade me.. They must have some great f*cking sandwiches! I ate the tuna and kettle chips while in line. Then I ordered the Hook and Ladder sub and the New York steamer sub. I put one in each hand.. Thats why God gave us two hands right? I took a bit of each.. Firehouse Subs are my favorite. I thought my review went through before but apparently not. So here is the newest one. By far they have better flavor than any other sub shop I have been too. Fire house seems to be high on customer service as well. I noticed this when they apparently made the wrong sand which for a customer that was sitting next to me and the manager made sure that the customer was happy. Looked like he gave him a coupon for a free sub. The customer didn't seem to be upset but was very happy to get that. Maybe they will make my sandwich wrong next time so I can get a free one as well. I say this because I don't think they make a bad sandwich so it would be all good to me. Any way's I give Firehouse a 5 star for food, quality and service. read more

I took my dad once when he was in town and he got the smoked cheddar brisket and he LOVED it! We went back twice that weekend because he could not get enough.
