This guy knows it all, from a birds-eye view! oh, Luckily and honestly after touching some wires together and listening, he said, "It's your thermostat. You need a new thermostat." Boom! Aaron is excellent. My AC unit started making a loud noise. My neighbor is handy and said he thought the capacitor might need to be replaced. I messaged several AC companies to ask how much they would charge to replace a capacitor for my specific model, and it was impossible to get a straight answer from them. Most of them said they could only give me a price once they saw it in person, which wasn't very convincing since I was telling them the exact part and model, and for them to come in person I'd have to pay them a visit fee and then they could still quote an overly expensive price. Aaron was one of only two companies that would give me a straight answer on the price, and I went with Aaron because he does the work himself whereas the other company is big and some of their technicians didn't have great reviews on Yelp. Aaron did a very thorough check of my whole AC system, found that it was in fact just a capacitor that had to be replaced, and fixed it for the price he had quoted ahead of time - no hidden or expensive fees. My AC has been working perfectly ever since. He was great about communicating by text and he was on time. He seems like a decent person who cares about the quality of his work and is not trying to shake you down like others will. We bought our first house in 2014. . . it was about 2016 or so when I found part of the heat pump laying on the slab as if it had fallen out. Our neighbor had been having trouble with their two-year-old heat pump, and Aaron was the third (and final) repair person to help them. I recognized the truck when he came by to check on the repair, and I ran out and asked him about the part I found--he looked at it and told me that there was nothing to worry about--manufactures regularly tape this thing to the inside of the unit so installers will have an extra if they need it. He told me that two years had been enough for the tape, and it had simply fallen out. I felt very lucky that I had asked the right person, and not somebody who might check it out for me for a small price. Flash forward to the record cold of 2021--I could hear my heat pump cycling on and off every five minutes even though it wasn't reaching the temperature I had on the thermostat. I pulled out that card that Aaron had given me five years earlier and called him. If you were here, you know that I wasn't the only one in Austin with heating problems! Aaron spent 20 minutes with me diagnosing it on the phone--for free. And his diagnosis was right on. We needed a new air exchanger, and he gave us choices and a fair price. He also came out the next day to verify his diagnosis. Within two days of our decision, he and his team were cleaning up and driving away after completing an installation that had gone exactly as he said it would. By the way, his Ecobee thermostat completely solved a perplexing problem of having the upstairs thermostat at the top of the stairs (which acts like a chimney for heat. . .). I am so happy I ran into him that day; so happy that his personality was such that I kept the business card until I needed it; and so happy to know he is always a phone call, text, or email away--for when I need him next time. read more

Best Air Conditioning repair guy in town!! Will not over charge you or make you get things you dont need. I have a really old system but instead of pressuring me into getting a new system(which I totally would have believed) he checked everything out and assured me it was an easy fix and showed me how to fix it if ants showed up again to ruin my life. Highly recommend! Aaron responded to my phone call very quickly and we set an appointment for the following morning. The heat pump was neither heating nor cooling although the blower and electric were working. Aaron quickly diagnosed the issue as a broken joint in the copper coolant system. Over the next few hours he evacuated and cleaned out the system twice then loaded the refrigerant. It worked perfectly after the disconnect. Aaron is a knowledgable and experienced professional that has your interests at heart. The compressor on my heat pump stopped running last Friday. I had a technician from another company out Saturday and he couldn't find the problem (ended up saying they don't really work on R22 units). I had another technician out Monday from yet another company and he couldn't find the problem (said the compressor was bad pulling too many amps). I had pretty much resigned myself to replacing the unit and was hearing with supply issues it could be months before we could get a new unit installed. Finally got Aaron out Tuesday. We are in Pflugerville. I called Aaron and he answered right away, which was awesome. I told Aaron that we saw that our (Lennox) AC fan had severed a wire that had fallen loose from a zip tie (holding it in place). He said he could come by the next morning, but I also told him --in the meantime- we might try and fix it ourselves. I sent him a picture of the wires, and he actually explained how to fix it, and my husband and I were able to do it. But, there ended up being another problem that we were not able to fix. I texted Aaron late that night, and asked if he could still come by the next day to check it out. He called me first thing the next morning, came over and diagnosed the problem right away...replaced the capacitator within 15 minutes. He also noticed that the last person who replaced the capacitator used the wrong-sized part.
