But one thing I've noticed is that regardless of which employees are working that day, they are always nice and dont treat you like you insulted them by asking for more of a certain topping. Super good pies!!! Came here for national pi day. You customize your own pie or salad. They had a special for pi day, a pie for $3.14 but you need to buy a drink as well. There was a lot of people. You should definitely try it out!!! Also you get cash back from yelp if you link your card! So good. You can put unlimited toppings on your pizza! It doesn't feel greasy as other pizza places. Fired pie is a fun little quick restaurant. I've been there twice now and it's and I do like it. It's nice because you can customize your personal pizza to be exactly how you want it. The ingredients seem to be very fresh. They also have a pretty good selection of toppings. They also have gluten free options like a cauliflower crust as well. That's what I really enjoy. And it tasted amazing! It was nice and crispy and it really didn't taste all that different from traditional crust. (For all my fellow gluten free friends, they offer to change their gloves and cook it in a different part of the oven to avoid cross contamination). They also have a small selection of alcohol. This is a fast casual dining kind of place set up like a Subway Sandwich Shop. You either order off a suggested menu or build your own salad and or pizza off the line. Any salad or pizza will only cost you $7.75 before tax drinks and tip. I liked the salad much more than the pizza from here and would have given a low four stars just for the salad. We shared the steak and blue salad off the menu. The beef in the salad was like a lean medium rare kind of roast beef about a hundred times better than the beef like product you get from a Subway Chain place. The salad was very fresh but I thought the cold beef and cold caramelized onions were odd in this salad. I thought this salad lacked blue cheese BUT if I come back I can build it any way I want and will do better. I didn't care for the pizza. Respectfully I wasn't a fan of the crust, sauce or the cheese. This crust was very thin and almost cracker like and wasn't like pizza crust to me. The sauce was seasoned very heavy with too much oregano and was overpowering as I wasn't able to taste the fresh basil on the pie. (maybe an off batch?) The cheese is OK but it isn't the best. I would come back and have a salad and if I tried a pie again I'd build it like an appetizer bread and enjoy it more. Three stars is POSITIVE and honest. It's been over a year since my last review of Fired Pie, so I thought I would do an update. The awesome part is, that nothing has changed, and some things have even improved! Fired Pie is by far the best of these type of pizza places. It is close to my work and I have probably been in there 20+ times in the last year. Every single time, every employee is courteous, friendly and they will hook up your pizza any way you want. If you want a grip of one particular topping, just tell them and they will hook you up. Always delivered with a smile and always very fast. If there is no line, you are in and out of there in under 10 minutes. Now, onto the food..... Pizza.....I can eat it every day! I wish I DID eat it every day. I would be happy as hell. Anyways, the best part about Fired Pie (at least compared to other pizza places similar) is the consistency! Their dough is perfect! No matter how much you pile on your pizza, their crust holds up. You can pick up a slice and not worry about shit falling all over the place. I can't say the same with other pizza spots! All their toppings are super fresh and their crust gets a nice char on the bottom and the edges. It's absolutely delicious! My usual order consists of red sauce, mozzarella cheese, tons of meatballs, some pepperoni, some spinach, some red onions, a grip of garlic and I get that all cooked "well done". I really cant say enough about this place. It is hands down my favorite lunch spot around work and I will continue to come back. First time at this Fired Pie but several visits in the valley. Arrived at 5:15 PM on a Thursday and there was no line, which was unusual for this place. I ordered two pizzas, one for me and a gluten free for my wife. We both got pepperoni, spicy sausage and various veggies, along with marinara and pesto sauces, mozzarella and fontina cheeses (unlimited toppings for $7.95, +$2 for gluten free crust). The pies came out bubbly and nicely toasted. The veggies were fresh, the meats were plentiful. The sauce had good aromas to them. I recently went to the one in Central Ave too, and it seems they have a nicer pace at that one, seemed more coordinated when they make your items... You pick your sauce, cheese, and toppings. They then throw it in the brick oven and it's ready within 5-7 minutes. This place can get really busy so it's good to have your order ready in your mind before hand. The pizza was really good. Super fresh and hot! It's the perfect size to fill you up! My only complaint is the staff was not friendly at all. All 6-7 of them were like robots. No smiles and just quick blunt questions to get you out of there way. I felt rushed and awkward going through the line. Like I was burden. Hopefully the staff was having a bad night and it's not like that all the time. My only complain is that their employees are always sweet but they don't quite listen and seem distracted. They are always all very young so I will give them that. They still do a good job. I went in 2/10 at 4:35pm and encountered your manager Mary. I asked for Two Cauliflower Crust Pizzas and as I am prepared to start the first order immediately she says, "what's sauce on both!" I said these are different pizzas and have different sauce. She then rolled her eyes and huffed her breath. I ignored her and just went about my order. I tell what sauce on the first, and haven't even told her what cheese then she proceeds to ask again what I wanted on the 2nd pizza. This was frustrating because she's obviously rushing me, and didn't get my first pizza done. I told her the cheese and she put small amounts so I asked for more, she then grabbed more, again rolling her eyes and put more on. Then again started asking about the second pizza to which I finally told her I would like half bbq, half marinara and pesto. Which again she put small amounts, and I asked for more. As I'm asking for more she keeps huffing under her breath like she's unhappy to be there while at the same time rushing me. Back to the first pizza I'm getting ready to ask for toppings, she interjects "No meat?!" And I look at her and say No. I ordered my veggies and as I'm ordering she kept putting small amounts so I kept having to ask for more which again was frustrating considering she's rushing me, and can't even get my order correct. Then as she finishes the first pizza she says, "If you put too much sauce it doesn't cook the toppings properly." I'm thinking to myself, 'Why does she feel the need to even say a remark like that? its my choice if I want extra sauce.' so now to the second pizza I asked for Chicken,steak and pineapple and she shorted me on the pineapple so I again asked for more. And as I am saying toppings she kept saying,"Huh?! Say it again." So by the last topping I asked for Mushrooms and she did the "Huh?!" Thing again. By this time I had it! I tell her loudly MUSHROOMS! And then she remarks, "You don't have to be rude." I said, "Rude? You've been rushing me this entire time asking me 15 questions at once and can't even get my order right." She responds, "I don't need you to be rude!" And I responded,"And I don't need your back talk just make my pizzas!" She throws her hands up and walks to the back in the kitchen, where now the girl at the register is looking dumbfounded that she just walked off. So I ask the girl at the register what is her name, and what is your supervisors name? She tells me her name is Mary and she is the supervisor. I pay for my pizzas and I'm continuing to talk to the girl at the register and asked her if there is a corporate number. The girl at the register said she's new, Mary then walks back out and yells to me, "YOU CAN EMAIL HR@FIREDPIE.COM AND IM MARY THE SUPERVISOR." I said ok, and as I'm waiting for my pizzas to be boxed up, im talking to the girl at the register still. By this time there is a line of customers, and Mary sees me expressing my complaint to the girl at the register and tell her what horrible customer service this is and the girl at the register is agreeing. Mary then stops helping another customer and says, "Sir you were the one being rude and I have line of customers out the door!". I then said, "Don't talk to me, go help the other customers." Mary again tries to talk to me, where now other customers are getting involved, and I tell her, "Help your other customers and stop talking to me!" Then she finally stopped and went back to helping the other customers. I took my pizzas and left and didn't even think I was going to file a complaint, I was going to let it go. But I felt obligated to say this because she cannot go on treating customers like this and think it's okay. Her attitude from the beginning was uncalled for, her rude remarks were uncalled for, her running off while completing my order was uncalled for! At the time I was the only one in line so I couldn't understand why she was in such a hurry to rush me out of the door. This is poor customer service, and even worse coming from a supervisor. Is this the example you want her giving other employees? This is how you treat people who are giving you business? I've come to this fired pie for years and never once have I encountered someone this rude, and completely incompetent on how to deescalate a situation. If she hadn't of said anything and moved on all of this could've been avoided. Instead she decides to make a scene and upset not only myself, but other customers and co workers. Someone needs to have a one on one with this woman and give her additional training. And if she's that unhappy with her job, leave! But do not take this out on customer's. I came in tonight really craving a pizza and left with nothing at all. I was at counter for nearly 10 minutes without being acknowledged by a single one of the 7 people behind the counter. Guy at first station was working on online/call in orders and never even said a word to me until I asked him how many more tickets he had to work through (watched him make 5). When I asked him how many more he had he said one and I told him it would be nice if he'd at least look up and acknowledge that I'm there and tell me what he's working through before he can take care of me.
