Came here on a Wed night and both Van and Charles took really good care of our party of 15. The wings were !! Soooooo many flavors that we couldn't decide, ended up trying a little of everything. Two things I love in life are Tacos and Wings. I have been waiting for this place to open for awhile, I went during their soft opening and they did not disappoint. I brought the family for lunch to eat before going to the movies. I'd give 10 STARS if it was possible! Sublime experience all the way around. It was my wife's first time, but Steven was as patient and helpful as possible with our questions. We had regular Buffalo Wings, Dragon, Tai Chile and Jamaican Jerk. All 4 flavors were delicious. Fire wings, Fire wings I don't know where to start with this one soooooo let's just jump right in. I've learned to lead with love so here it is. This location is pretty and surrounded by a lot of cool restaurants/ bars, stores and of course the movies. (Honorable mention the gym lol) Now to fire wings, it was empty. That should have been our first clue to turn around (oh yea I went with my mom and aunt, our friend raves about this place. We'll get back to that) our group ordered a 10 piece wing combo, lemon pepper and buffalo, Nashville fries, fire fries, zucchini sticks and mozzarella sticks. We decided to eat there. The 10 piece came out first, everything was cold. Next the mozzarella (they were good). The Nashville fries after about 20 minutes came cold and lastly the zucchini stick. Did you catch it? YES, MY FIRE FRIES WERE FORGOTTEN COMPLETELY. The wing combo was sent back along with the Nashville fries in which they returned lukewarm and the Nashville fries completely burnt and I FINALLY got my fire fries (underwhelming but I was starving by then ). My aunt decided to eat the wings even though they still weren't necessary fresh and my mom couldn't handle the burnt chicken and fries that they called "Nashville fries", so she got her money back. We left completely dissatisfied and actually stopped to get food (s/o to Panera which is basically around the corner from there) Oh yea remember that friend who raves about fire wings? Decided to try Fire Wings after leaving church. After being in service all day I was good and hungry and looked forward to tasting these wings as my friend raved about the San Bernardino location. Not only did it take forever, the food was served cold with only my order delivered (it was 3 of us). I take it back and it was returned only mildly warmed. In the mean time my sister and nieces food still wasn't served. My sister finally gets her food only to find it was cold and we had to remind them of my nieces order. My sister ended up getting a refund as my niece and I struggled to eat luke warm food. Needless to say i was extremely disappointed and will never return. Called my friend to tell her of our experience and she was totally shocked trying to understand what could have possibly went wrong. All I can say is this is a terrible location and with all the wing spots around I would definitely go to any of them before choosing Fire Wings. read more

First and foremost. I'm the type to always welcome and frequent new and upcoming businesses, but this place is a total disaster! I went there and bought the boneless wings with two different sauces and they tasted like old chicken with no sauce. They weren't even up to par with the crispness I asked for. Then I purchased 2 beers and I received the wrong ones. If they can't get an order right, then what's the point. Salad was old, not fresh and the 20 pieces with 3 sauces also fell short. I kid you not, I spent over $60 there and I will not be returning at all. In the inside, the music was blaring and not pleasant to listen to. Overall, this place needs a makeover. The teenage girl was not understanding the correct order and everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. I believe all of the chicken was not cooked to order and sat in stale water and then microwaved. Think over the stars given to these restaurants and ask if family and friends gave them the reviews. We have frequented here about 5 times and their Long Beach location several times. The Downey location seems like the food quality is going steadily down hill over the last few months. Today the wings and fries were just warmer than room temp. Zucchini fries were ok. The blue cheese sauce was watered down and very thin and ran all over the place. The spices on the Louisiana Rub, Malaysian Curry, and Parm were so scant that it looked like regular fried chicken when it arrived. Almost no flavor on the wings either. Would have been 4 stars but let me explain. Wings are good. Nice and crispy and great flavors. Salt and pepper wings are absolute fire!! Garlic noodles are terrible. Yeah they look good but incredibly dry. -1 star not necessarily for the service, but for the fact that there was only 1 person on the floor taking orders, bagging to go's, taking phone orders and serving people their food. Management should do better and be considerate of their employees. This is too much to ask for one person. If you know your spot gets busy, schedule another person. Service was okay because of this. I was on hold for 10 minutes that i actually came in to the restaurant and was still on hold, phone left on the counter and all. Again, I do not blame the employee because she was hustling. Second time here and I can't deny these wings are it! Both times I've come they're pretty good, I look forward to trying many more flavors! The reason for the three stars is the music, it's so incredibly loud in there like more than it should be, I have sensory issues and it was very uncomfortable to eat in there for me, aside from people having sensory issues people also suffer from ptsd and that loud of music can definitely trigger someone, the service was fabulous the first time I came I was so impressed, this time it wasn't so great, the girl who helped me out had piercings in her face, took our order and we had a couple of questions and she wasn't much help, the restaurant itself is dirty, there was ranch and paper trash on the floor, the soda station area was dirty and the floor was sticky as well, the girl was just standing at the register on her phone where she could have been cleaning all this, the tables were dirty I cleaned ours because I keep wipes in my purse but for a new spot you gotta do better, the potential is definitely there. read more

Great location in the Promenade at Downey next to Century theaters. Had the Chicken sandwich which was very moist, tender in the inside with crispy crunch in the outside. Between 2 buns that was buttery and tasty. While quenching my thirst with a modelo pina picante. Watching the nfl playoffs on 2 big screen TVs. They also have several beers on draft. This is the second Fire Wings location that I have been to. The wings are better than what you get at Buffalo Wild Wings or Wingstop. They have over a dozen different wing flavors to choose from. Parking at this location is next to a lot of other restaurants, a cinema, and a gym. The parking lot is huge and you shouldn't have any problems finding a place to park. The people working at this location are great and do a great job in taking your order and providing great service. I've only had a chance to try their wings and fries. I would like to someday see sweet potato fries and Nashville hot chicken wings on their menu. I plan to return to try their chili cheese tots and tender sandwiches. I would recommend that you give this place a try and I know that you will fall in love with their chicken wings. My recommendation for wings would be the Fire Wing and Peanut Butter. My friend tried the Classic Teriyaki and said that it was a bit on the sweet side. I plan to try the Malaysian Curry Rub and Salt & Pepper sometime in the future. read more
