The tacos are consistently delish and the service is quick. I encourage you to watch your food being prepared through the window because my friend and I had to have the chef change his gloves on both visits here. He would rub his dirty apron or face or touch something else and then go back to preparing food - GROSS! He changed his gloves with no problem when we requested it but imagine had we not been watching? The burritos don't last well. Our burritos were moist by the time we got home and made us sick. Stick to the tacos and juices or tread lightly. The Jamaica is yummy. Their salsas are sitting out uncovered on ice in a buffet style setting. However, their temp is not being monitored. On our last visit they were bubbling and appeared sour. We didn't get any to avoid getting sick. I have been coming here for years, back since it was by the old taco bell on Firestone. I really enjoy the tacos they are so good, especially the tripa. They always make it so well done. The salsas are ok and they have a small patio area to eat if you are staying. The parking is in the back and they have plenty of it. I have been here a few times. I have always ordered a Carne Asada Burrito with everything in it including salsa roja. It has always been delicious. The place is small but has a lot of parking in the back which is hidden from view from the main street. Every time I have been here I have only seen two employees at a time so they may not be set up to handle large quantities of people. There is outdoor and indoor seating to eat if you are interested. Hungry one night and wanted something that would allow me to continue on the road and knock some of those stomach growls down til making it home. There was literally an IN N OUT directly across the street, where being greeted as well as served with a little enthusiasm is as random and consistent as the lines both inside and out in their drive-through are. Took a little time with my order. After a few people who came and ordered after me were served. Decided to go inquire about it. Appeared my order had already been prepared wrapped and ready to go but was just sitting on the counter waiting to be bagged and pushed out the window. Knew then it would not be another visit before even having tasted what eventually turned out to be just a (by this time) lukewarm poorly flavored lackluster and unassuming chicken burrito. No razzle dazzle and skimpy. The other patrons there seemed to enjoy their meals very much from the looks of it while waiting for my own order. The outside order/pickup window was clean with seating directly in front as well as a covered area along the west side of the building which seated additional tables. Inside seemed to be clean as they were sweeping and mopping ai also observed while waiting for my order. The burrito wasn't horrible but certainly lacking. We looking at the menu then we decided what to order my wife order the torta carne asada then I order the Carnitas burrito but I let them know I wanna wet style then I say the red sauce. I pick up the food wow the food looks very delicious then my wife took a bite of her torta sandwich she enjoy the carne asada was really tender and fullnof flavor. The food is delicious. I have only ate the Carne Asada Burrito with everything there. I been there four times, but the two times before this time I asked for a fried egg to be added in the burrito and the same lady gave me two differences excuses why she would not. The first time she said they did not have any eggs at this time. The second time she said that breakfast was over. I feel if a customer wants to add things in the burrito that they are paying for and they have the add on product that is requested, then it should be provided as long as they charge extra as they always do. Do not eat here. The same gloves they use to prep your food are the same gloves they use to operate the remote control, clean the tables, and grab the broom and dust pan. They cross contaminate your food. E.g. the individual preparing the order brought out a pan with raw fish being marinated. He put the fish on the slab where they cut the meat and place the tortillas, etc. With the same gloves, he used to cut the fish. He grabs a towel and wipes the area of the slab, starts grabbing the meat to prep the other orders as they are coming. He did not change his gloves and used the same gloves for the rest of the orders. After i saw that, I spoke to the cashier to cancel my order and asked for my money back. This past weekend, my friend came over with his son. He brought food. I asked where you got the food from, and he said Taco Raul in downey. I respectively said no, thank you. His son and him ate. He called me the next day to tell me his son was vomiting in the middle of the night and would not stop. He took him to urgent care and was told it was food poison. I connected the dots and have no doubt it was from this place. *PAY ATTENTION* DO NOT EAT HERE. If you do, look at their preping habits and judge for yourself. This is a small taco shop - on the street on Firestone Blvd. I took a walk looking for food whilst my car was being taken care of at Everett's Car Detail shop. They were just opening and I was the first customer. I am a big fan of carnitas tacos and therefore most of the time that is what I order. That is what I had. The food was served promptly. I walked around the side of the shop to find tables and a salsa bar. The tacos were tasty! Good meat, flavorful and moist. Pork tongue tacos?!?!? WTF! I've been coming here for a few years now and their menu says they serve beef tongue. I just found out that it is not beef tongue. It's actually pork tongue. This is not right! I should know what I am eating and it should be my decision if I want beef or pork tongue, not theirs! They should update their menu so their customers know what they are ordering.
