Fun and new-ish to the St. Charles area. Parking here is a significantly easier compared to the Glen Ellyn location. This is a nice spot for a date night or gals night out. They also offer happy hour in the bar area during the week. I loved how large and spacious this location is. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I'm a big fan of restaurants with natural light and this place definitely has it. Amy was our server and I went with all of her recommendations. For me the drinks and food were good but not 5 stars great. For whatever reason - the food is better at the Glenn Ellyn location.

Fire + Wine is one of my favorite suburban Italian spots. I was extremely happy to hear a third location was opening in St Charles in a newly developed part of town. Mondays are a great day to visit as they do half off pastas all day. Additionally, they have happy hour in the bar area till 5:30 offering half price small plates and discount select wine, beer, cocktails. To start, we shared the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake which comes with a sauce and small arugula salad. As soon as the dish arrived, it was noticeably small compared to other locations. It's not typical that the specials decrease the size. The appetizer did have good flavor but also some inconsistently sized chunks of crab meat. For mains, I got my favorite: Vodka Pasta. This portion also seemed smaller and the grilled bread less buttery. The pasta tasted fresh and the same as what I've had but the sauce didn't seem to stick to the noodles. My husband got the Crab + Shrimp Angel. There was certainly more shrimp than crab on this dish. Seeing the dish, it did not look like a $36 meal with how scarce the seafood was. Overall, this may be the most beautifully designed location of theirs. This part of St Charles could thrive with Fire + Wine being introduced. It's got great promise but still has quite a few inconsistencies. Service was alright as we never got a water refill, runners seemed overworked compared to servers, and my husband's chair was bummed into quite a bit being against the bar seating.

Absolutely enjoyed my lunch at Fire + Wine! I came here to meet up with an old coworker and had such a great experience. The atmosphere was cute and inviting, with a perfect balance between upscale and casual. The service was wonderful, and everything we ordered was delicious. We enjoyed drinks, Caesar salads, and a Margherita pizza - everything was fresh and flavorful. I would definitely come back!

Big space inside and patio space. Parking is tight on weekend or holidays. Highly recommend reservation on weekend. Service was good. Rating out of 5 for vegetarian food Mushroom Ravioli - 5 - really good with nice sauce Kale salad with quinoa- 3.5- not big fan of dates in the salad made it really sweet Berry non alcoholic drink - 3.5 - balanced drink Arnacini- 5 - classic with good vodka sauce

Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Prices are reasonable and food quality and service is excellent. My daughter forgot her left overs, we went back 10 minutes later and Tom remade her another fresh meal to take home. Now that is EXCEPTIONAL service. Can't wait to return.

Didn't like the taste of the mushroom ravioli sauce is missing something. Just tasted like cream. Service was great :) Love the restaurant interior. Moderate noise level inside.

A great addition to St. Charles! The ambiance is moody yet modern and inviting. The menu is big with a variety to choose from. Service was wonderful, from our server to the speed of drinks arriving to the bussers clearing plates. It was very clean and we can't wait to go back. Not pictured, but DELICIOUS: Calamari and Shrimp Fritti which was so well battered, crispy, and balanced. We loved the aioli!

Our waiter Andrew was fantastic. Front desk needed a little help, the manager (I think) scolded their employees right in front of us when both of them were correct and she was incorrect. It was Symantec's and a weird power trip.

First visit. What a great experience. Wednesday 1/2 price bottles of wine and food was phenomenal. Can't say enough about our server "Lilly". She was so informative and attentive. Above and beyond in every way . She made the night perfect

A group dinner at Nobel House left us hungry for more (in a good way!)…read more This is a pretty sizable restaurant with a bar along half of one wall and plenty of tables of varying sizes that can accommodate whatever you throw at them. There is ample lighting and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The food is BBQ and they have a little bit of everything to offer. That is great, but makes it hard to choose what you want! We certainly had that problem but ultimately were very happy with our meals. They pretty much cover all the bases as far as BBQ and the sides. The flavors were very tasty! Having one in Glen Ellyn won't have us running back to this location but that is only on account of circumstance.

These days the price hikes are expected, nothing new, and the day Nobel started to impose a penalty for paying via credit card (which initially they were ALSO taxing, and at a rate no less that was higher than Geneva's local tax percentage) was when I started only paying with cash. Hey, I like(d) their food and love(d) their employees, I'm willing to pay out the nose and jump through hoops for the experience. I'll admit, I went from eating there almost every day during Covid to maybe once a month, but when my family asks me where we should go out, Nobel is ALWAYS the first that comes to mind. Within the past week I've visiting Nobel for the last time. Prices notably up again, check. Many new employees, slower service, and uh oh, what's this, the food quality is in the toilet? Couple that with another service by Kelli and her terrible attitude, and things aren't looking great. Portions. Like everywhere else, as I said, at Nobel the prices are up and portions are down. My wife's favorite though, their lobster roll (formerly one of the best I've ever had in the United States, and I travel along the east coast quite a bit), has taken a hit harder than anything else on their menu from what I can ascertain. $31 now, which isn't new, it's been $31 since the beginning of 2026 from what I can remember, but $31 and it's probably 30% smaller than it used to be. For $31 you get a lobster roll that literally looks like a piece of Texas toast folded in half now, a 30% smaller portion of lobster, and if by some off chance you order the side salad, the side salad is also smaller. I can go on about all of the other cuts that are evident, but the $31 lobster roll is about the best display of the dismal direction Nobel House is headed. Sad... Nobel House, you'll be missed.

Our waitress greeted us warmly and quickly brought out water and coffee. She did a great job of keeping both glasses and mugs full throughout the meal. I got it with bacon as my meat and dipped it in the chipotle vinaigrette on the side as I ate it. It was awesome! I really loved that instead of black beans, there were refried beans in it, as they added a great creaminess to the meal. The fruit bowl was also impressive to me, as it was full of diverse fresh fruit. It was better than the normal assorted melons I am used to at restaurants. I got an iced salted caramel latte to go before leaving since we had a long car ride ahead of us. It was on the sweet side, with little espresso flavor coming through, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I would love to come back on a busier weekend when the place is more lively and try their huge lunch menu!

They did list some items as gluten-free. I asked the server if the gluten-free pancakes were cooked separately and she said yes and that they had gluten-free toast. I ordered an orange juice. It was really bitter. Not my type at all. I ordered the short stack of gluten-free pancakes with strawberries and hash browns. She said she would put in an allergy alert and not have any seasoning added just to be safe. My food came and the pancakes looked like buttermilk pancakes. I asked the server and she did confirm. I tried them and they tasted like buttermilk pancakes. I didn't eat much as I was worried. When the check came it did say buttermilk pancakes and nothing about gluten-free. But also the hash browns said seasoning on the ticket when they came out with none. I did tell the server I had a gluten allergy. I was just so suspicious that I didn't eat much at all. They could have gluten-free options, but it would have been nice for the server to confirm when setting down the food or putting an allergy stick in. I did have mild symptoms after I left, but they were different than I had experienced before so I was not sure.
