The fish dinner was great. It's made to order sometimes so be prepared to wait..but it was fully worth the wait.

Went upstate to get my ring fixed...excuse to try a brunch place. Hubby found Ramona's, very highly…read morerated on Yelp. It was difficult to find as there is a small sign by the driveway leading to the parking lot and restaurant. The building is set in, not by the street, and there was no obvious signage. It looks like a simple house in the parking lot. Upon entering, the room felt quaint and cozy. We were immediately seated as we went during the week and it was quiet. Hubby had the pancakes with sausage and I ordered the omelette. The pancakes were tasty and not dense. The sausages were unfortunately 3 small breakfast sausages. For an additional $4, 2 fat sausages would have been nice. My omelette was good but I don't know if I would call it fluffy. The eggs were flat and the only "fluffy" part maybe that the inside of the omelette was slightly undone. Coffee was nice and rich. I gave this place 4 stars because there was nothing wrong and the food was good. Although this place isn't mind blowing, I think if I lived here it would be a nice regular place for brunch. Definitely a place to try for locals.

I was then warmly welcomed with the most sunny smile by Stephanie who offered to seat me right away. Since I wanted take out instead, she provided me with a menu and pointed out wonderful options and made great suggestions. I decided on the Turkey chili which seemed like a solid choice. While I was waiting I was introduced to the chef, Christopher and the owner, Ramona. Both Christopher and Ramona were a joy to talk to and despite being busy, were kind enough to spend a little time with me! My meal was prepared and packaged in hardly any time at all and leaving actually felt like I was leaving home! Honestly, it's hard to find such wonderful family values and it was a short but wonderful experience. My turkey chili was rich and delicious and hit the spot. Do yourself a favor soon, take a ride over to Ramona's in West Nyack and try out some of the home cooked with care treats on their menu. Look for Stephanie's million dollar smile! Highly highly recommend.

I thought that was a little steep BUT there aren't nice, safe, SAFE hotels on this area. Although Pearl River is beautiful, after/during COVID many hotels/motels became housing and still are. Safety is a major priority for me as a solo woman traveler. This place is safe, you feel it the minute you walk in. Staff were very friendly, a security officer was seen walking and greeting guests, building was redone several years ago so it was immaculate and well decorated. Two issues--wowthe heat was loud when it turned on the bedroom. I sleep with a fan app and even then I woke up a few times. The room was warm cozy, bed was great comforter super soft otherwise. Coffee maker. So maybe I'm a snob. I need my coffee to function. The coffee maker didn't match the quality of the hotel. I was filling lines up with water, I'd burn my thumb then get a cup with 3 tablespoons of water. I called the front desk and asked if a hot cup of water could be sent up (no microwave or other means of heating) and they sent a very polite woman who wanted to help me fix the machine but I kindly told her, please let me just have some coffee and maybe you can check it out after we I'm gone. She laughed and was very understanding. Coffee shouldn't be so hard to make when your already in an unknown place. Imho. Overall, I felt safe, slept well and eventually got my hot cup of Joe. I would stay here again, absolutely. I'd probably try book in to reduce the price rather than just showing up...if I was smarter. Side note to Hilton---working phone chargers are a must by the bed

The room, towels and linens were impeccably clean. The double queen bed room was spacious. The public interior areas and the immediate exterior grounds are very well maintained. There is a dining room with a continental or full buffet breakfast. The full buffet includes continental options and adds oatmeal with toppings, scrambled real eggs ( not powdered) with toppings, sausage and bacon. The bed was comfortable and the amenities of Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo & shower gel, the makeup wipes and shower cap were appreciated. There is a very well maintained indoor heated pool and whirlpool with lifeguard and a small fitness center. There is not a sundry shop at this property but the limited items available at the front desk like bottled water and Advil were much appreciated. A CVS pharmacy is a short drive away if you need more. Downtown is about a 3 mile walk. There is both a regular Mall and an Outlet Mall within a 10 - 15 minute drive from the property. The limited immediate vicinity access to most things will necessitate having some ground transportation. Surrounding the parking lot is a wooded area with flowing creek. It is a shame that ill mannered guests feel this is a trash disposal area. The property would be well advised to send a clean up crew out there regularly. I recommend the property for a clean, comfortable stay and would return here if in the area again.

I'm updating this review mostly to add more photos, but have been enjoying hanging out here for a coffee & pastry while catching up on emails or just taking in the peaceful surroundings, meeting friends for lunch, and most recently returned for one of their lively Friday night dinners with music on the outdoor patio (indoors if the weather is uncooperative). They are now open for dinner 5 nights a week in the summer! The menu is seasonal and changes often, with daily specials and some staples. The food is hearty and wholesome, and I love their salads. Relaxed atmosphere, family friendly, BYOB.

The quiche for example tasted like something i would make, though not sure if that's a good thing or not (ha). The chicken shawarma ($14) was pretty good though the pita could have been softer; it had eggplant, onions and mushroom as well. Quite enjoyed the strawberry cupcake - light and airy. They have glasses of tap water in the fridge which you can help yourself to and you bus your own tables by putting your silverware and plates in a pan. They have a very small parking lot that says 20 minute parking. We parked at the school next to it so hopefully that was ok. Not sure where all the customers were parking as the official lot was full.

My wife enjoyed an Asian noodle salad. I loved the poached egg dish that featured Hollandaise, smoked salmon, and was served on a Portuguese muffin. Really nicely prepared! Unsweetened tea was also good. We look forward to returning!
