I've been meaning to try this place and finally got the opportunity to do so. Went here after WonderCon and was starving. They did not disappoint! I didn't know it was a buffet and was pleasantly surprised. I had a stir fry concoction. The cook was nice and suggested sauces to go with what I created. My friends and I came in between breakfast and lunch. One of the cooks was nice enough to make me a crepe! Which was delicious by the way. Bonus, they have happy hour daily. Been wanting to try Fire and Ice for a while now so made reservations for a late afternoon lunch after shopping at Downtown Disney. Didn't need reservations though, nobody was at the Garden Walk. I thought this place was a lot more then just a Mongolian bbq place from seeing it being advertised when they first opened. Yeah they also serve burgers, hot dogs, and other kinds of pasta but it's all cooked on a Mongolian grill. Not sure what the ice part of the restaurant is supposed to be? Maybe the alcohol. Even though the food was cooked fresh on the grill, it wasn't served very hot. During COVID, you still go inside the restaurant to pick out what you want but the servers fill the bowls for you. Then you take it to the grill and the cook brings it out to the tables on the patio. It didn't really seem like they were limiting the amount of people going inside to order and there were no markers on the floor to social distance. They did have hand sanitizer and gloves available. The food wasn't anything to rave about, it's pretty much just a fancy name for an Ayce Mongolian bbq place that is a bit pricey for these types of places. The burger was ok though. We had a few drinks which were better then the food. Service wasn't that great either, we had to ask for everything and she really didn't ask us if we needed anything. Had to ask for extra napkins and ask to order a second round of drinks. She had to come back and ask what my second drink was because she forgot. The restaurant wasn't that busy either when we got there, maybe 3 tables. A few more groups came while we were eating including a large party. The prices on their website are also incorrect. They tried to charge us dinner price when we ate from 2-4pm and the website says dinner doesn't start until 4. Had to ask twice about being charged dinner price. They still charged us the brunch price $15.99 even though there is a lunch price listed on their website as $12.99 from 11:30am-3pm for Saturday and Sunday (see photo). If you're going to open, you really should update your website especially when this is where people make reservations as well. They also have an email club that my sis tried to sign up for. She got 2 texts, one saying you get a free birthday meal and another saying you get $10 off or something like that for signing up. However the texts didn't look like coupons she never received any emails with the same deals. We asked the waitress how to use the deals from the texts and she said you have to wait for emails to come. Whoever is working the marketing for this restaurant really needs to step up their game. Prices are still wrong on the website and their email club doesn't work either. Not a good way to get customers to return, and in fact we most likely won't since it was pretty disappointing. read more

I had a great time at Fire + Ice! It's basically a build-your-own noodle bowl/salad/burger joint. I don't even recall what exactly I used in the two plates my stomach only had room for, other than I literally piled on the noods and the meats and every sauce that added spiciness. Both times I don't know what I created what they were GOOD. Like, hard to take another bite but I just have to because it's so good but also I'm going to freaking explode good. It's also $23.00/person so you know I'm going to TRY to get my money's worth. The ingredients were so fresh, they were constantly being replaced and refilled. I'm writing to specifically talk about the service at the front. My friends and I wanted to stop by for a quick drink before heading to the escape room. We saw that their bar wasn't too crowded so we popped in. The guy in the front told us to wlgo ahead. Within a few minutes the rest of our group came (3 people) and he told them there were only 3 seats available and they would have to wait. Again the bar was not crowded. We saw 3 bar seats and a whole bar table behind us with 4 chairs that would have been perfect for our group. Again, he said "there's only 3 seats". I told him it was one drink and theres a table but he just kept ignoring me and saying the same thing. It was a little disappointing feeling like they didn't want our business so we left. Our first time here. Raul M. was our server and he was not only friendly but very attentive. He took time to explain the process and also had suggestions on the desserts. We selected the Churro dessert and it was enough to satisfy. The ice cream was delicious and smooth. The churros were crisp and hot, yum! A new take in a buffet. My daughter ate at one in Boston and said it was amazing! She's 13. So while On vacay in Cali there was one near our hotel. Why not since the wait time was low. For a flat rate maybe $20 oor so you can eat as much as you want. First you fill your bowl with raw meats, veggies, noodles rice etc. then visit the huge cook top and give yiur bowl to the cooks. They then hibachi sTyle cook you food. It really is interesting to watch the clockwork style they do this. Those cooks were hustling! I was amazed by their flow! Food was good. If you and your significant other can't agree where or what to eat, this place is your answer. The staff are really friendly and the cooks are always willing to make recommendations. I can't say enough good things about Fernando! He should write a cookbook with the recipes he creates. Fernando was super friendly and we were talking like we were old friends. From what I recall, Fire + Ice is one of the original tenants of the Anaheim Gardenwalk, which has gone through over 100 shuffles at this point (I'm assuming). I've been coming here infrequently for years and this place is special. The best way I would describe it is a hybrid between a Mongolian BBQ joint, unlimited pasta bar and burger joint. They have a vast variety of proteins (including steak and shrimp for dinner), vegetables, noodles and rice and sauces. You take your ingredients of choice to the chef and he cooks it up in front of you, while you enjoy the ambiance of the lively restaurant. For the most part, all the ingredients are very high quality. And you can make some pretty awesome food here. But honestly, the best thing here is the BURGERS. Yes, THE BURGERS. Don't miss out on them. Seriously. I know what you're thinking. Why should I skip out on the steak and shrimp and get the burgers? Because the beef is incredibly high quality and the patty has a nice crust from the griddle, a la smash burger. They can put some of that incredibly crispy bacon on top, as well as some cheddar cheese. The chefs melt the cheddar cheese on the griddle, as well as the SAUCE. Yes. You need to go try it. So good! Such a fun experience. Came in for an early dinner with my husband and younger son after coming from Disneyland. My son left his toys on the table when we were making our food and the waiter set up my son's toy figures, which made his day. The chefs took extra time to make an enjoyable experience for my son as well. He put extra oil on the grill to create a fire for my son to see plus made a balloon sword. What a fun place! Plus great service. Our server Melissa was really attentive. We never had to ask for anything...we turned around and dishes removed, drinks refilled. The host (dont know his name) helped my friend whose daughter needed ice on her eyes (from a pool incident earlier in the day). He offered an ice pack (after seeing her put cucumbers on her eyes) without prompting. Plus the gentlemen at the bbq were entertaining, professional, and efficient. Everything moved quickly...food completely cooked, and fun to watch. They seemed to have addressed the signage - it was clear we should put sauce on the side - signage at the ingredient bar and the server also told us. This whole place is sticky and the tables felt like we were in a fast food restaurant. It all felt very overpriced for what it is. The cooks in the center should get 95% of the tips, they do a really great job! Our waiter brought us waters and checked on us twice after that and we never saw him again. They seated us late but that's no big deal- what bothered us was the following: (1) it's a buffet during Covid, with the people placing the food in the troughs NOT wearing masks and the guests were in many cases not using the plastic gloves and it seemed touching the food to much. Stumbled upon this little gem while walking through the shops at Gardenwalk in Anaheim. Super excited we found it. Depending on the sauce, meat, and toppings you grab you can create your own signature dish! They make burgers cook to order and EVERYTHING looks fresh and is yummy! It is all you can eat but I was bested by my first plate. I didn't even get to try the extensive salad bar! For now I will have to let my dinner process and dream about delicious salad later. The place is clean and well equipped with TVs so you can catch the game, even have a cocktail from their full service bar! . I am assuming it could probably get pretty loud on a packed Friday night. This review is only for happy hour. We came to have a few drinks before a concert at the house of blues. We got seated right away and our server was helpful. We stayed there for a little over an hour and our server made sure to come check up on us. At one point when my wife wanted another drink it did take about 15 minutes to arrive. Our sever did keep coming back to let us know that it was coming and that the bar got a big rush and he was backed up. We did get a desert, the churro deluxe. We felt like it did have a little too much sugar, but that could be a personal preference. It was tasty though. Overall it was a good place to have a few drinks before the concert. Although, the food items available on the grill section was very limited and they all had the same taste. I added different sauces too but my Asian Chow Mein, pesto pasta and Burger had the same exact taste. Also, only the grilled items are AYCE you do have to pay for the appetizers. With the price it's not worth it specially if you have to pay additional for the appetizers. I gave it 2/5 just because the servers and the cooks were very engaging with the customers but their food selection and sauces need to be improved. read more

This place never disappoints. We were there for dinner on a Saturday night. There was a 30 minute wait. It didn't seem very full, but they were trying to give realistic seating times. I can completely appreciate that. The best thing about this restaurant and the thing that I really love is that you get to choose all of your items exactly as you would like them. They have a nice selection of pastas, rice and noodles for your base and many vegetables to include. The Proteins that were available on that evening were quite extensive. I really enjoyed the shaved beef, the andouille sausage, the shrimp, the fajita mix, and the pork loin. Surprisingly delicious was the pork rib. Who would have thought that you could grill a pork rib and have it taste so delicious. They offer white rice at the table and that is something I hadn't experienced before. Our server was very good and kept clearing the plates very well. I am always a little overwhelmed by the sauces. You just never know how it's going to taste once your meat is cooked and the sauces are added to the heat. But my new favorite is the olive oil lemon and garlic with a garlic butter ball and a shake of crushed red pepper. Extremely good! Please make sure you tip when you are here. Everyone is working together to make sure you have a good experience. Not anyone person does it by themselves. I never make it to desert but I saw these two cute little twin girls across the way enjoying a brownie sundae and it was quite significant and size.
