Went to il Fiore for a post Valentine's date. Number one is always ambiance, and il Fiore did serve! It's so cozy and romantic inside which I can appreciate. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. The food... not bad but not great. The short rib dish was a bit too sweet. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time and I'll be back for another date night.

Went here last night for a cozy date night on a very cold night. It was a lovely and quiet on Tuesday. The food was delicious. We started with the focaccia with whipped ricotta and prosciutto. Both of us ended up ordering steak and it hit the spot! Sides: charred carrots and brussel sprouts. Both were good but our fave were the carrots. Drinks: Cashmere Sweater and Mt Etna were yum. I would save the Mt. Etna as an after dinner drink. But I loved the smoky rum flavor notes in it. Some of the negative reviews below are way off imho. I'm glad I didn't follow the advice of someone complaining about refills and the size of an ice cube in a cocktail glass

Located in a strip mall mall- I was amazed when I walked in and saw the decor. High ceilings , big modern bar, modern classic decor , I heard was designed by the same designer of Autograph Brasserie, White Dog Cafe and Rosalie. The ambience was low light with. Angle lights at the table and modern rock in the background the blended well with the decor and vibe of the food and customers. The tabletop. Plates and glassware and cutlery well matched the decor and vibe as well. The bio of the chef I read is also remarkable -- Maria trained under Solomonov ( Zahav) and worked on Vetri projects. The menu is 1 page but covers a wide vanity - antipasti, mix green ,Caesar and beet salads, homemade pasta, chicken parm, branzino and chops ( steak , pork chop) and pizzas. This is not a traditional Italian style cuisine - - modern techniques and ingredients Food was delicious and service was friendly and efficient. I will be back for dinner and may be have a drink and bite at the bar either my friends- I love the modern vibe a food! My only disappointment was that we were seated in a regular table vs a comfortable booth/ being it was my wedding anniversary. I get it we got the last reservation on open table for 5:30. When we left at 7 the place was packed.

Overall I'd say it was overpriced for the portions and quality. My friend ordered the Margherita pizza and the server said the portion would be really small and she should get more stuff. The pizza ended up being actually pretty big-- definitely enough for one person. I ordered the short rib and onion cappelletti and the portion was tiny and I did not get a warning. My other friend got the crab ravioli and it was also tiny. Considering how expensive they were I was annoyed to be leaving hungry. And the fact that the server didn't seem to have menu knowledge because she wrongfully warned us about the pizza and not the pasta portions. Things my friends and I ordered Short rib and onion cappelletti: 2.5/5 The few bites on the plate were delicious, but I was done in one second. I'm also not an overeater at all and usually take so long to finish my food so that's saying a lot. It had a really good sweetness about it without being too sweet so that was cool. It also tasted like handmade pasta which was good too. Bolognese: 4/5 Delicious and actually a big portion. Good sauce to pasta ratio. Good amount of parm. Crab ravioli: 2/5 Nothing crazy, tiny portion. Margherita pizza: 3/5 Nothing crazy-- very average Also got wine which was extremely overpriced

This place is beautiful. The staff is very nice and it was a great atmosphere. I went there for lunch and it wasn't busy at all so service was very quick that day. The food is good. I would need to go back to try other items on the menu to say if I love this place or not but I would recommend going there. Keep in mind parking may be an issue but that is due to the location rather than the restaurant itself. I had to park elsewhere and walk over.

Terribly disappointing in every way. Unless you want to spend a fortune for mediocre food, this is not recommended. Let's start with the focaccia with ricotta and prosciutto. We were told about the chef who makes this wonderful warm focaccia with ricotta and prosciutto. The focaccia came out room temp to cool in temperature with tasteless cheese and prosciutto. Not even a knife to cut it so we hacked it apart with a butter knife. Next up a warm salad for my wife. Definitely needed some acid like lemon or vinegar. My tomato and watermelon salad had a handful of small chilled balls of watermelon. Tomatoes were good. Then it took 45 minutes for our pasta to come. By the way, we had the 5 pm reservations so the "restaurant is busy" line doesn't work. I got 5 hard / tough pieces of pasta, yes 5, for $22. When you have to cut pasta with a knife, not good. And my wife's $20 fettuccine was luke warm and cold in some spots. We left without even trying desert lest get even more disappointed. For a great Italian meal head downtown to Grand Caffe L'aquila and avoid this pretentious ripoff with mediocre food. Best part of our night out was going to get ice cream at Petrucci's in King of Prussia

We were excited about another Vetri restaurant, i love Vetri restaurants and their pastas. And this one was somewhat close to us and easier to get to than going into Philly. We decided to come here a few weeks before my husband's birthday to celebrate since we would be at the shore during his birthday. We had a couple different servers and they were both very helpful and attentive. We ordered cocktails. Both were good but it was pretty much all drinks we've had before. There was no real out of the box inventive cocktails. But they were decent- and my husband's cocktail that had smoke in it they brought over a cloche to smoke the drink in which was cool. No one mentioned that it was my husband's birthday. We ended up splitting an appetizer, a few pastas, and an entree. Pastrami sweetbread with beet mustard- nice flavor, glad we got this. The beet mustard was very interesting and my husband loved it - and he doesn't even really like beets. Crab and shrimp Pacherri Al forno- it was just ok. Kind of disappointed because this was what I was most excited about and was a little bit of a let down. I didn't really get much crab or shrimp flavor it just tasted fishy and it was ground up. The sauce wasn't really anything special either. Potato tortellini with pesto- glad we got this pasta as well. I definitely liked this one better than the crab one. This is the Vetri pasta I know. Fresh basil flavor, delicious pasta. Waygu rib cap- very tender with great flavor. Really enjoyed it . Creamed corn- very good Charred Cauliflower Cacio e Pepe- good but a little on salty side We also split a dessert- some kind of spumoni dessert which was decent. I ordered an espresso too but it didn't come until after our dessert. Overall this place was very good and we enjoyed our meal. I'm glad we tried this restaurant and checked off another Vetri restaurant off our list. It was very good but nothing that blew us away that made us want to come back right away. Kind of expensive- I think for the price I would rather go back to the main Vetri restaurant in Philly it's probably about the same price almost. Maybe we'll come try more pastas and get some drinks if they change up their menu.

Shrimp scampi is soooo so good. Seafood conserva was amazing, lovely. Do not get the love-neh cheese anolini, super bland. Strip loin medium was perfect, and best brussel sprouts I've ever had. Service was so so good, everything you want in restaurant service, they even wiped off the tables between courses. Oh, and the restaurant is beautiful, cozy, fancy yet also comfortable, touch of casual. Can't wait to go back. Oh. And the blondie!!! Incredible. Comes out a little warm. Way better than the chocolate cake!

This discreet facade nestled in an unassuming and yet vibrant city is out, about + ready to sweep the local foodie folks right off their feet. Upon entry you immediately find yourself enveloped by a beautifully appointed interior and greeted by the most welcoming staff. The great energy that this restaurant exudes is transmitted through its wonderful service and glaringly evident in its delicious and beautifully composed dishes. The moment you walk in, the vibe hits you first: vibrant colors, rustic touches, and an ambiance that feels like stepping into someone's family dining room back in Italy. It's authentic, comforting, and alive with culture. The food? Unreal. Their **homemade bread** sets the tone -- rustic, fresh, and full of that old-world character. The **pizza** is on another level with dough that's so good it almost steals the show. Every pasta dish carries that handcrafted feel, the kind that tells you the recipe didn't come from a cookbook -- it came from memory. Appetizers are just as impressive, but the **grilled octopus** stands out as a true star. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and proof that Exit 13 puts heart into every dish. This is the kind of spot where the atmosphere and the food work together -- where the vibe feels like home and the flavors taste like heritage. Exit 13 doesn't just serve Italian cuisine. The service was very good: attentive and friendly. The ambiance is similar to Not Your Average Joe's in Ardmore with the upstairs/balcony seating and downstairs and big screen TV showing sports, but much noisier, especially as the upstairs also was filled with guests. By the time we left at 7:45pm after a 6:45pm reservation, it was loud enough that we had to fairly shout at each other to continue our conversation. The food was okay, except the salad which was excellent, but not worth returning for just the salad. - beet salad - 4.5/5, plentiful small diced red and yellow beets, avocado, arugula, a light dressing and burrato with crushed pistachios. a very solid starter salad and the server kindly split a large order into two small plates for us to share - fried calamari - 3/5, having just eaten at Estia last night which has a very good fried calamari, this one was not breaded as consistently and some of the pieces were a tad on the large side for a reasonable bite and too chewy to be cut with the fork or knife. - penne puttanesca - 3/5, my husband ordered this and while he not a self-proclaimed foodie, for him to say it was just okay means it was really just okay - linguine vongole - 3/5, points for the very plentiful offering of clams, i counted probably 20 generously sized clams (sometimes you get miniscule clams with this dish), but overall the sauce was too salty and there's not much you can do to fix that, and the linguine was a bit overcooked, definitely not even close to al dente We skipped dessert as by that point our ears were starting to ring with the high decibels coming from around us on the balcony and the floor below. It looked like a lot of people were having a good time so maybe it's just not for us.

My parents come here periodically, and I'd been trying to join them on one of my visits back home,…read morebut on a couple occasions we couldn't get reservations, and then the third time, we got one but it turned out they were going to be closed that week for a post New Year's vacation. Fast forward to this latest visit home. I finally secured a reservation...but then late yesterday afternoon my mom's knee started acting up to the point where she could barely stand on it. Fortunately, ice, Advil and rest overnight--and my mom really, really wanting to come here--kept us on track, and tonight I finally made it. It's a cozy spot, and I can see it making an excellent date night, especially since the BYOB setup allows you to bring the wine of your choice (and save some $$). We were seated promptly--this Sunday was relatively mellow--and the servers were super accommodating about removing a chair so that my mom's walker could occupy the unused space on our four-top. The menu is what I call right-sized. It may seem smallish, but there is a strategic assortment of salads and apps, pastas and mains (and, of course, desserts) that is sure to accommodate everyone. Dean, the young man who would go on to do an outstanding job taking care of us for the night (with the other two servers chipping in seamlessly as needed), went through the specials. My mom was particularly intrigued by a squid-ink fettucine with lobster and shrimp (and cherry tomatoes) in a saffron cream sauce. Could we split it as an app, we asked? Would it be too much food? On Dean's advice, we went ahead, while my dad got the mussels. All three of us ordered the pork chop, which my parents have been raving about for a couple years now. How could I not try it? Ordering finished, bread and olive oil (with a bit of balsamic) arrived at the table. Knowing I had a pasta coming and that the pork chop was a good-sized portion, I didn't want to overdo it, which I think was ultimately a good choice. The bread took the edge off, and then the pasta arrived. It was just the right amount for two people to share as an app, and we both enjoyed it, while my dad loved his mussels (and then dunked lots of his bread in it). Then came the main event. The pork chop lived up to (and frankly, exceeded) the hype. It was tender and perfectly cooked and oh-so-flavorful. Definitely one of the best I've ever eaten, and this isn't my first pork-chop rodeo. It was accompanied by asparagus and yummy baby Yukon Gold potatoes; I left a view of the latter, not because they weren't yummy but rather because the pork chop was huge and I was not skipping dessert. For dessert, I went with the house-made cannoli, which was a lovely, sweet (but not oversweet) ending to an excellent meal. I'd be happy to come back to Burrata anytime.

We were amazed at how good our food was and why we hadn't dine here before. We split a mixed greens salad which was also delicious with apples. Topped it off with Strawberry Gelato and Limoncello cake. We had a great date night and can't wait to go back. Very reasonably priced and also a BYOB. So grab your friends or family, some adult beverages and have a wonderful dining experience. Burrata we will be back and sooner then later.

Service: each person with whom we interacted (hosts, manager, food runners and especially our server...she was fantastic). Food: For the table, we got Calamari: very light and crispy, but the meat was nice and tender Pepperoni and soppressata: excellent, with an amazing sauce, sausage and crispy outside tender inside crust. Dinner: The kids both got the Rigatoni Vodka. This is what I had the first time we visited. It was just as delicious. Packed with flavor and the sausage was perfect. Tender, and just a touch of heat. My wife got the Gemelli. A pistachio pesto - this was probably the best pesto I've ever tasted. Creamy, fill of flavor and a touch of acid that brightened it up nicely. Incredible. I got the Bucatini Amatriciana. Pomodoro sauce with guanciale. Blew me away. The pomodoro was unbelievably well balanced. Exact amount of sweetness, slightly acidic and the guanciale brought the salty note, in the form of crispy crunchy bacon flavor, but surprisingly tender. Blown away. We had to try dessert. Tiramisu: it was as good as expected. Very well made Vanilla Panna Cotta: this was exceptional (like pretty much the rest of the meal) delicate and creamy, and a huckleberry compote (?) that was insanely good. A touch of salt was in there to make it positively sing. I could not more highly recommend giving this place a try. Absolutely the whole package. Loved it and will be back!

Our server, Andrea, really made the experience even better. She helped us navigate the menu and offered thoughtful suggestions that we absolutely loved. The experience was a little bizarre. Their website says "Rosalie doesn't allow reservations for 1,…read moreplease just walk in". I walked in, as directed, just for a very flustered man at the front of the house to fumble with his system for a good 10 mins. Telling me there was a table, then taking it back and saying there were no tables for the night, then saying nevermind and making me a reservation for two (which I would have done if not discouraged by the website) for half an hour later. At this point I already had a very bad taste in my mouth from the level of chaos. I waited outside for my table. When I got to my table I will say my server was very nice until a strange comment came up at dessert. Once I ordered my dessert, he left and came back with two spoons, saying "I brought two spoons for us." It almost seemed implied he'd join me. I dine a lot alone, voluntarily. Most of the time it's after work and I really don't want, let alone need, company. His comment gave me anxiety as I wondered how I would politely tell this man I wanted to dine alone. When he brought the dessert he did not join me but made sure to say "I'll be back for a few bites." Maybe it was a joke but to me it was very odd and made me pretty uncomfortable. I gave three stars just for the Cacio e Pepe. It was very good. I did (without giving tmi) have a very sick stomach after the meal and the morning after so I wouldn't return just incase that was the cause. Like a said... a weird experience.

I thought it was very average; likely a one-shot deal for us. BUT, the restaurant appears to be popular, so you may think it's great." I hate assessing Core de Roma as less than wonderful. The owner is so gracious and wants everyone to be happy. But the reality is, with so many Italian restaurants in and around Philadelphia, you've got to be on top of your game. They start you off with warm Italian bread and a plate of tasty cannelloni beans in olive oil. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, described as being served on a "bed of greens." Had we known the "bed" was two meager leaves of lettuce, we would have ordered a salad as well. The calamari should be crisper and include tentacles in addition to rings. My husband's chicken Francese was pretty much indistinguishable from my saltimbocca. I like when the breasts are pounded thin, but these were sliced overly thin, and the portion, somewhat skimpy. One piece of T's was lemony, the other not. I did taste sage on my saltimbocca, but had I not known that the chicken was topped with prosciutto, I wouldn't have guessed it was there. I read that some restaurants don't serve angel hair pasta because it's easy to over-cook. You guessed it. Boiled to the point of being almost mushy, with sauce that literally had no taste. When we split a small piece of limoncello cake, T said "this is the most flavorful thing we've eaten." And sadly, I agreed. The restaurant is BYOB with a reasonable $5 corkage fee. The staff is young and efficient. There's a parking lot down the hill in the back. Ambience is okay -- despite some other Yelpers' complaints. The only thing needing improvement: the food.

Very nice to have a local restaurant like this, which based on desserts with a giant sparkler being…read moreserved is a special occasion outpost for sure. Very busy house on a Saturday night and oddly but graciously quieter than many steakhouse environs. Service is good, as should be expected with this type of "pricier" option. If nitpicking, a side dish of Brussels sprouts delivered later than all entrees. Plates for "finished" diners cleared before all diners were through, which is understandable but not practiced in some higher end places. Steaks are truly cooked to requested temperatures, medium, medium rare, perfect and not as common as portrayed. The octopus appetizer is really well done. The halibut special was presented nicely and was delicate and flavorful all at once. Our server apparently makes the cappuccino herself and was quite proud of her skill and was really a nice touch.

My friends and I enjoyed Social Hour (Happy Hour) at DePaul's on a cold Sunday evening…read more We were seated right away at a booth next to the bar. Social Hour was nearing the end, so our server, Rebecca made sure we ordered what we wanted in enough time. We ordered drinks and several appetizers. Everything was so delicious. The Lobster Guacamole, Filet Kona Tips, White Truffle Parmesan Fries, Custom Blend Meatballs, and the Crispy Buffalo Shrimp. DePaul's feels cozy and warm as soon as you walk in. The service is great. I love that they have a coat room, especially in the winter. There's a huge bar with plenty of seating around it. Several booths in the bar area and many tables in the dining areas. They also have an upstairs dining area.
