I went in for the first time on a Friday afternoon and despite being super busy they got me in for a mani/pedi after only a few minutes wait. There were a lot of techs working, and a lot of the ladies appeared to be regulars. The lady that did my mani/pedi was great! I'm 39 weeks pregnant with my first and she made sure to file down my nails so they wouldn't scratch the baby, which I thought was so sweet to do without my even asking. The worst nail experience I have ever had! I made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure . I walked in sat in the chair and everything was fine. The man who massaged me was great took about an hour! BUT then when the lady came to do my french tip on my toes she completely rushed it. Took less then 5 min. They closed at 6 when I came in at 4. And she said they may not have time to do my nails! While there's people waiting and walking in to get their nails done! So I was not a priority. My French tip toe nails looked so rushed and bad and it costed me 56 dollars! Even when I said I didn't like them.. they said nothing. I couldn't and didn't want to even get my nails done there. I'm at home hating my French tip. Advice make this your last spot for mani and pedi. They have such poor service! Now of to try the princess bar. read more

Finger Tips is on the Earth Fare side of Brier Creek. Not to be confused with "Tips 2 Toes" on the Target side of Brier Creek. If you're looking for a clean less-frills salon for waxing in Brier Creek, you can't beat this place on quality, customer service and value. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed here for 3 years. For $10 plus tip, I can get in and out in 20 minutes without an appointment, add 10-15 minutes to that for peak hours. There are 3 people who rotate as the waxer and I've always walked out pleased and never over (or under) plucked. read more

I went in today for a gell fill, b/c I had broken two nails and could not wait for the weekend to go to my regular place. I went at lunch time, so I was worried I could get a nice fill in, in under an hour. I saw Kathy, and she was great. Very nice, super quick and really did a great job in less than an hour! I give this place 5 stars not for all of the manicurists or the ambiance but for Emily. She seriously is the best pedicurist I have had in the Raleigh area. She takes her time and does a very thorough job. She also is talkative so your experience is enjoyable. I feel that the other people there often rush. I understand they get paid per person; however if you do a good job you will have a repeat customer who possibly would request you and would tip more than usual. Every time I go to Finger Tips I request Emily and if she happens to not be there I go elsewhere or just wait. I highly recommend having Emily do your nails. It will be worth it. I think $40 for a mani/pedi is pricey coming from NYC but Emily is awesome. read more

I don't even want to post this review because I would like to keep this a hidden gem! I've been getting my nails done (gel) for years. I've tried so many nail salons in the Triangle and I won't go anywhere else now. Laura is amazing and my nails last longer than any other salon I have been to. I am almost unable to type because I need a fill so bad...my current gel fill has lasted since before Halloween it's now December...OVER a month and they still look great! No lifting, no chipping, nothing other than growth. I get my nails filled typically once every 3-4 weeks. Note*I do get my nails done incredibly short to begin with! The also give great pedi's but you will get a much better experience if you book the first appointment of the day. My girls and I always call in a reservation for a group pedi and they get all three of us seated together and fairly quickly. read more

Worst gel manicure I've ever had. I guess you can only make appointments with the people that have been recommended thusfar on yelp. The gentleman that did my manicure commented about 15 times on how short my nails were. They were not ridiculously short just not long. There is nail polish stuck to all of my fingers and the gel polish literally peeled off in two days. Complete waste of money will never return. I just moved to Raleigh and hadn't been to a salon yet and I have to go every month to get my ingrown toenail nails removed. It was pricey at 31$ but got a great pedicure and the lady was very gentle with my toes and did a great job!! I would def recommend it. She even took me early before they opened! read more

I usually have a great experience at Finger Tips (hence the 3 stars), I have been coming for over 4 years since I live right up the street. Today, I would give them 1 star. I arrived around 5:45pm, without an appointment. I waited over 45 minutes for someone to become available to do my pedicure and then 2 people with appointments arrived, taking the 2 employees who had just been freed up. If they had told me it would take over an hour to wait, I would have left and come back another day, but nobody told me anything. I finally just walked out, as it didnt seem anyone would be available anytime soon. read more

Hands down one of the best pedicures I've had in a LONG time. I got a Classic Pedicure ($28) and it came with a free hot stone massage! The salon is very clean and quiet in the morning. I usually come in the afternoon/evening and it's like a bee hive, so if you're looking for a quiet relaxing time to treat yourself, morning time is best! I never pay for salon services anymore, so when I do I want it to be good. Last summer I went to fingertips and it was great so I was looking forward to it until I sat down for a pedicure. The massage chair didn't work, I told the pedicurist twice; didn't matter. Then I sit down to dry, and I have never been to a salon that doesn't give you a quick, brief massage while drying. It really sucks when you look forward to certain services especially when the massage chair was most needed and never ever treat myself. Then to top it all off, I said to the owner, that massage chair was broken and her reply was "oh, thanks for letting me know" needless to say I will not be back. read more

Subpar nail service but unfortunately worst of all: foot fungus. I couldn't figure out why my feet were peeling for weeks after leaving the salon. After finally seeing a professional he explained it was most likely a foot fungus and recommended an OTC cream for my feet. And sure enough! The peeling is starting to stop. Definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to go there because poor hygiene is dangerous in a nail salon! read more

I got my nails done here yesterday after having them filled in a few days ago because they were done incorrectly and were already coming off. I made an appointment and I got there early and they STILL started almost 25 minutes later when someone decided to stop watching their iPad to help me. Honestly I would NOT come back here , I would rather let Edward scissors hands do my nails blindfolded than to ever go back to this place. I paid $48 for a crappy gel fill in and only having 4 nails painted still got over charged on top of them being filled uneven. Keep in mind that when I called ahead of time they told me gel fill ins were $30. 3 days later one started rising and chipped so I went back, waited another eternity and finally the lady in the back with some stuffed animal helped me. I had told them I wanted that nail fixed and repainted since my nails looked like I had been attacked by a sewer rat, she sort of fixed them and then charged me another $25 for "another fill in" even though literally as she did my nails she asked who did them and acknowledged how terrible they looked , only having them gotten done a few days before by someone there and she even asked me who because she literally had to glue them all back in place since most of them were already coming off 3 days after getting them. I wouldn't recommend this place at all unless you wanna throw your money away, which honestly you could save yourself the time and hassle and just straight up ripping up and flushing it down the toilet since that's pretty much what you'll end up doing anyway if you go here. I am a very loyal customer when I find someone who gives me great service. I had been going to Emily at Fingertips for my monthly pedicure for years and was always very happy with her service. Since she doesn't do gel nail tips, I went to another place to have them done. When my gel nail tech. moved (from another salon), I decided to try Laura at Fingertips since I was already a customer there. I couldn't be happier! In fact, my old girl contacted me to tell me that she was moving back 6 months later and as good as she was, I decided to stay with Laura because she did such a beautiful job. Best advise though would be to make an appointment with one of the more experienced staff (Laura, Emily, Chris, etc.) as there are always new people training and sometimes sub par. read more
