This was my 10th visit at this nail salon. I've always had excellent pedicures here from the…read moreclassic to the lavender, all of the nail technicians have been wonderful. I'm so disappointed to say that today I've experienced the worst pedicure of my life. I had a 4:00pm appointment that I booked online. The technician that I had was very young, kept calling me "bro", and was literally playing a video game on his phone while he was giving me a pedicure! I had yellow polish on my toes from the last pedicure I had here. The technician was scrubbing them with a tool and I told him that it was regular polish, not shellac. He said I know, and kept going over them with this metal tool, which was a little painful. Then he cut my toenails with the polish still on, removed the polish, and barely filed my toenails. He tried scrubbing my feet awkwardly, which was very ticklish so he just stopped. Then he took some water out of the foot bath and put it all over my legs and rubbed them down with a scrub and then removed it. I received no lotion, and then he placed hot towels on each of my feet. The technician said that something bit him and went into the back room for a while. When he returned he was playing the game on his phone. I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode. There were no other customers or employees working when I received my pedicure which was strange because they are usually busy and it was only 4:00. When the nail tech painted my toenails it was very rushed, he barely let the base coat dry and he began applying the polish. I've included pictures so you can see the terrible paint job, my dry feet and yellow nail polish still visible from my last appointment. I also have a rash from the aggressive scrubbing. I let the polish dry under one of the dryers but it was hard to see the details due to dim lighting. When I got out to my car in the sun I was very disappointed. My feet were much better off BEFORE this pedicure.

I've been getting gel manicures for years and have a problem with my nails bending and cracking below the quick. They recommended dip manicure and it lasted 7 weeks without cracking. Okay, I don't type much at this point but still...amazing results. I just never thought to try dip before. I could have gone years more never realizing dip was a better option for me. Today Tai worked very hard to get me the shape I wanted. A pet peeve of mine is when my nails aren't uniformly filed. Gel or dip is going to cover some filing inconsistencies but I feel my nails hold their shape better over time when they're filed uniformly from the start. Highly recommended...all their nail techs are great.

I had used a technician named Julie last time I was there and she did a great job. I called today for an appointment with Julie and was told she was not available. The person I spoke with was not fluent in English. I went: Hoping for the best. First of all, there was only customer in the place at 3 p.m. Then the quasi-manager assigned a male technician. I told her I prefer a woman, because men are too rough. I was assured that this guy was gentle; no problem. My bad: I should have walked out right then. The manicurist spoke only a few words of English. The pedicure went ok, but the manicure not so much. He did not do a good job AND WAIT FOR IT, cut the cuticle on my thumb so badly that it bled A LOT. By this point, I just wanted to get the heck out of there. I love paying $100 to be wounded while getting a BAD manicure. On the way out, I asked the quasi-manager what is going on, and why can't I get Julie to do my nails? The actual situation is that the business has been sold and all of the previous employees quit. That is why no Julie and no customers. DON'T USE THIS PLACE. And to the new owner: hey, you are doing a great job: no employees and no customers. Unless you plan to use the place to launder money, you have some material issues to deal with; one of which is that I will take you to small claims court if my finger gets infected and I need to see a doctor. If this review were only about the finished craftsmanship, I would've given a much higher rating. The problem was the length and the customer service. Before I could even tell him how long I wanted my nails, he started cutting and took off a huge chunk. By the time I realized what was happening, they were already way too short. I booked my appointment expecting long/XL nails, and I ended up with nails that aren't even medium length. On top of that, he had a very heavy hand and never communicated with me. He didn't ask me to place my hands anywhere or explain what he needed and he just grabbed, pushed, and moved my hands around the entire appointment. It felt like I was being manhandled instead of treated like a customer. After everything, I explained to the woman at the front that my nails were much shorter than what I had booked. She changed my service from long/XL to small/medium, which made sense. But then I was still charged an extra $5 for "extra length." Extra length... where? The nail quality was genuinely great, but the experience was upsetting. Communication matters. Please let your clients tell you the length they want before cutting, and treat their hands with more care and respect.

I mentioned I wanted round but after looking at the shapes posted on the wall I meant to get oval ok my mistake again I am paying for the service and didn't want it to be an inconvenience so the shape I kept. When it got to the french tip design I wanted it was an whole issue. She started with the pinky showed me the nail to see if it was the right thickness but I wanted it a little thinner and when I go to voice that to her it was huffing and puffing, eye rolling like I had just messed up her whole day because I wanted a thinner white tip and she had only did One Nail. Again I'm the one paying for the service. So I politely asked her to remove the french tip which again only the pinky was painted and to do another base coat. She gave a lot of theatrical treatment and was not professional at all telling me if she had an attitude I wouldn't be here like wow you're saying this cause I wanted a thinner french tip. It was a shocker because out of the 6 times I've been to her I never received that type of attitude. But I will be sharing with my 355k social media following to just have them beware and to come in with exactly what they want measurements, design, colors, length and correct shape if they sit in her chair because if you don't you'll receive a nasty attitude for a service YOU'RE PAYING FOR.

My only small critique is that I would have loved for the sugar scrub portion to last a little longer and include a bit more of a leg massage. The massage chairs are fairly basic compared with some nail spas, but they still got the job done. The reflexology was definitely a highlight!
