I came here for the first time on a Friday. They took my reservation over the phone within a few hours of showing up. This was my first time coming. I waited about 15 minutes before they were ready for me. The pedicure itself is standard to most others you would get. Where they stand out and charge a bit more for is the massage you get afterwards. You have to leave your pedicure chair and go into a different part of the salon where you sit in a recliner to receive your 20 minute foot and leg massage. I did enjoy this portion of the service. I just wish they could have also finished the polish there also, but instead, you have to the go back up front to the pedicure chair for the polish. The place is clean and well staffed. The pedicure itself was pretty standard to what you'd get at most salons. At first they finished the pedi, and I was like, wait where are my hot stones?! But after the pedicure, they take you to a separate, quieter area where you sit in a recliner for a 20-minute foot and leg massage. This was the highlight of the experience. The salon is clean, well staffed, and clearly in demand. I wish it was a little quieter up front to really set the relaxation vibes, but maybe coming in on a day earlier in the week would be best for this. Getting a gel pedicure and a 20-minute massage for $79 (in this economy!) feels like a great value. I will definitely be back on a weekday. read more

Say it with me: "Foot care is self care." I no longer have my nails done due to the nervous atmosphere of most nail salons. The refreshingly chill personality of the Foot Massage Spa is what we all love about it. Patrons are meant to use inside voices and we're there to kick back, melt into our reclining massage pedicure chairs, succumb to new age background music, and not banter. I typically select the "Milk & Honey." I also bring my spouse twice a year for the "Gentleman's Spa," because nighttime man-feet callus sounds are a leading cause of insomnia. I do have a favorite masseur, but will be holding onto that name as I'd be a very sad girl if he got booked out. Consider packing sunglasses and a throw blanket for the foot and leg massage portion to make it even more heavenly. You may want to bring along your own nail polish as well if you have your heart set on a particular color - a tip from my mother, and has been necessary here. Man oh cheviots we just found our salon!!! Our only issue was that while we were getting our foot massage the young man working on my feet sounded congested and was unmasked. The employees were so attentive to me that they brought a towel for my lap after seeing I was in a dress to prevent me from flashing the staff. In between each pedicure station are curtains to maintain privacy. Signs everywhere remind you to use your spa voice. You may tip by credit card which is very convenient. The spa is Asian-owned if you're looking for a way to support Asian American during their heritage month in May. Remember to call to make an appointment and to bring a face mask. About 90 minutes long, I got the Orange Pedicure which came with a fun platter of orange-themed products for your leg scrub. I had 3 staff members work on me, so remember to bring cash divided up if you wish to leave a cash tip. They squeeze real orange juice onto your legs as part of the scrub. After your feet are prepped at the pedicure station (removal of cuticles, etc), you go into the back section where massages happen. I visited this location for the first time today, because the place I usually go to was closed for Labor Day. The place was busy, which was to be expected. I didn't have to wait too long maybe 7ish minutes. The service is split between multiple people. I had a guy complete the pedicure except the nail polish application. He did ok. He kept asking over and over if I was ok, making sure I wasn't in pain. Which at no point was I, it honestly got annoying the constant asking. I don't know if he's had issues in the past with other clients and he wanted to make sure. After my feet were prepped for the nail polish I was guided to a dark room and a lady performed the reflexology massage. I was meant to have 20 min. The massage was 16 min. I booked the hot stone one and they only used a hot stone for 6 minutes total! The lady left part way to grab the stone. Also, the massage wasn't even split evenly one leg got a longer massage than the other. It was weird. After the massage I was guided back to the pedicure chair, and a different lady greeted me. I made an appointment at this spa after reading all of the awesome reviews about the foot and calf massages. My appointment was on Saturday, 3/6. Upon entry I was greeted warmly and offered a seat while my pedicure chair was being sanitized. I opted for the lavender spa pedicure for $47, which includes foot scrub, cuticle and nail trim, callus remover, paraffin wax, a 20 minute reflexology massage, and polish. During your appointment you will have (3) separate technicians. The first tech assists you at the pedicure soaking station, then you are taken to a dark, private room and seated in a big, cushioned reclining chair, and the second tech places each foot in a bag with warm paraffin wax. Your calves and feet receive an intense, but relaxing, massage. Once that is completed, you are taken back out to a pedicure chair, where your toenails are painted. I brought my own (brand new) bottle of polish, and I'm happy I did, because the third technician was very rushed, and she barely applied two coats of polish. It hasn't even been a week yet, and 3 of my toes have chipped polish. I've never had that happen a few days after a pedicure. My girl's date went great here at The Foot Spa! Me and a friend had Sunday appts at 3pm, we were seated together and promptly serviced for a Milk and Honey pedicure. Every staff member had on a mask as well as customers. The space felt safe and serene and I instantly was relaxed and ready for my pampering experience. After choosing our polishes, which consisted of well known quality brands like OPI and Essie, we sat in those comfortable massage chairs and were offered bottle water while our pedicure service began. There was no cutting corners here folks, this was the most thorough pedicure that I have received since living in Raleigh! And from the looks of the diverse customers ( men, women, pregnant mothers) many would agree and enjoy coming here! After the soaking, exfoliating and more, it was time for a reflexolgy type massage in a separate room. Hot towels, soothing music and next thing you know I was asleep. I had a bad experience at this place this week. . First, the gentleman doing my manicure was not gentle. He cut my toenails too short and then filed right into the skin leaving an open wound. I asked him to stop filing. His massage of my feet and legs was rough and I had asked him several times to be more gentle. There were several signs asking patrons to be quiet to maintain the right environment, but the technicians talked to each other throughout and one patron was on her cell phone with her banker throughout. It was no different than any nail salon but with plastic vines on the walls. When they took me in the "back" for the reflexology, the environment was quieter but the therapist was way too harsh. I had to ask her several times to be more gentle. There was probably less than 10 ml of paraffin in each paraffin bag so that provided very little warmth or comfort. That was unfortunate because it is my favorite part of the manicure. To top it all off, they do not buff nails. I do not usually get color, just a buff. But they do not buff. It's just not a service that they provide. I have never been to a nail spa before that does not buff. Awful and painful experience, I will not return. read more

They check you in, you pick your color and get you in the chair. Someone starts on your feet as someone else offers you a beverage menu. Tea? Yes, please. A lovely added bonus to a relaxing experience. Once you've been cleaned, filed and preened they send you off to get the warm wax, leg and arm massage.... ahhhh, heaven. The room is darkened and has soothing music. It feels like you've been transported somewhere else. Afterward it's back to the main room to get you polished. A little more sitting and that's it time to check out. They clearly have a system in place to move you along from each task. It doesn't feel rushed at all but it does clip along.
