This nail salon is located in a shopping center nestled between a Tropical Smoothie and salad restaurant. The nail salon is owned and operated by a darling couple named Lili and David. Lili is an incredible nail artist and paint any design that you bring her. David is hilarious. I come here for gel manicures and regular pedicures with Nisuta. I followed her here from another salon she used to work at because she is just too good. Nisuta is an amazing nail tech. Not only is she kind and funny, but the gels I get from her NEVER chip! They always last me about 3-4 weeks. She also gives a great hand and foot massage as well. The salon has a ton of colors and does regular polish, gel and dip powder. read more

This is one of the best nail experiences I every had. She started at my appointment time. She had already done research on the look I was going for and had the colors already pulled and ready to go. Which I love because I hate when I give you a design then you leave me to pick the colors. So I was super happy about that. She was very kind and funny making the appointment breeze by. The best place for nails in the Raleigh/Cary area! Lili creates the most amazing, detailed designs, and david is a master at shaping. I've done dip powder on natural nails, as well as gel with tips; Plain polish and fun designs. David did a beautiful job on my nails, i asked for almond but given these are my natural nails he explained it wouldn't be a perfect almond shape but that he could certainly make it look close, i was totally fine with that so we continued with the manicure. You ever find a place that is so good that you immediately recommend it to your friends and strangers? That's this place. Lily and David are absolute professionals. David's ability to shape and take care of my nails and Lily's nail art are second to none. I am able to get an extra week out of my manicures compared to what I used to get. They're incredibly talented. But above that, they're quality people and business owners. Whenever I have looked at other options, they've been straight forward and forthcoming about cost (even though they're incredibly cheap compared to other places - I've compared!). More than that, one of my best friends and I come here monthly and it's our little girl date to stay close. Lily and David have genuinely become our friends - they even got her a baby shower gift as a surprise! I cannot give this place enough stars. read more

My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary at the Umstead. We couldn't get a pedicure appointment at the spa, so we went and saw David and Linda instead. What a good choice! They did a great job, and the price was less than what we usually pay near our home. Of course, it was about 75% off the normal Umstead Spa price. The best thing about the visit was the David and Linda family comedy show. We had quite a fun time talking to them about the trials and tribulations of marriage. I just left 15 minutes ago and I am so disappointed. I had great conversation with my nail tech throughout my entire appointment and felt as if my experience was quite pleasant overall. I called in and described the service I was expecting to receive. The woman on the phone mentioned it would be $30. When I first arrived I requested information about prices. The nail tech was extremely vague and only advised me of the pricing of services I was not receiving. I finally finished my 12:30 appointment around 2:00 PM. I walked to the register and was told that the price for my nails would be $50. I was shocked. I requested no extras, no designs, nothing. When you refer to their price sheet no acrylic services are over $30-$45. I feel cheated and will not be returning. *Update* The nail tech called me to argue with me and to point out the fact that the prices were not available for my service. How could you over charge the client for something YOU ALL do not advertise? It is absurd that a business would think it is appropriate to call a client who left a review with the purpose of arguing not to correct his wrong doing. I will never recommend this place. read more

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Never have I ever had such an amazing experience at a salon than I have here. Both David and Lili are so personable and sweet and so insanely talented. By far the best nail salon in the triangle. I had been searching everywhere for my new go to salon and I have finally found it. The quality is top notch with amazing prices. One of my sets last me 3 weeks and probably could have lasted longer! They always make sure you are comfortable and ask you if everything looks ok and if you see anything you want fixed. Great salon. Down In the area for a soccer tournament for my daughter and picked this place because it was close to where my husband was running. There are a lot of nail places in the area that have 5 stars or close and this is one of them. I have been getting nails done for my years - permanent French and they were as Good if not better than the place I regularly go at home. Clean friendly and wonderful job. The salon is very clean and they are taking precautions to ensure everyone's safety such as requiring/selling masks, asking customers to wash their hands before service, using all new tools, cleaning the chairs after each customer and social distancing. Stopped in yesterday to get a mani, pedi and eyebrow wax in prep for my friend's wedding today. $55 (+ tip) and a day later I am very disappointed that I wasted my money. The nail tech nicked one of my toes so that bled for a while yesterday, I have a red wound below my eyebrow from skin being ripped off from the wax and to top it off my nail polish is chipping off in chunks. I think $17 is very overpriced for a basic manicure anyway but my nails should not look like they do less than 24 hours later. I would not recommend this nail salon. read more

Decided to give this place a try on my lunch break. The lady who did my nails was very friendly and i'm pretty pleased with how they turned out. However, the nail salon is pretty outdated and just didn't have a relaxing feeling about it. They also had the tv and the view was on. I personally can't stand those women, and when i'm trying to relax I couldn't, because the tv was so loud, and all i could hear were those annoying women on tv. I was also disappointed with the small selection of gel polishes they offered. Again, the lady was very friendly and did a good job, but it wasn't relaxing (TV too loud), lack of gel polishes and the salon was just outdated. read more

I feel that this place deserves these 5 stars because of the detailed attention paid to my feet. I "gift" myself a pedicure only a few times a year and hope that the person doing my pedicure will clean my feet up well. I just moved to Cary and picked this place because it was the only nail salon around that had no wait. I had low expectations due to the fact that there are only 2 chairs but I soon learned that quality wins over quantity at this salon. He scrubbed and checked my heels over and over again and got calluses that others alway miss. I felt like he was giving a pedicure to me that he would give to himself. I would recommend to the owners to go slower when giving massage as it feels better and longer than moving fast and rushing. This is an easy change. :) read more

I came to this shopping center for my favorite smoothie place and stumbled upon this nail salon. Crystal did a good job on my pedicure and David do a great job on my French manicure. I was going to get acrylic nails which is much more expensive than shellac nails however David discouraged me from putting tips on that would weaken my natural nails. He really is concerned with the health of your nails and will not push expensive procedures for the good of his shop. He truly is the "Nail Doctor". The first time I visited this salon, I had the best pedicure. That was the only service I had that day. There are basically only 2 employees, a husband and wife. The wife does the feet and the man the hands (from what I've seen). Now, the second time I went, a whole other story. The man did a good job of my gel polish, but there was no "manicure" involved, even though that's what I asked and paid for. IE: cuticle cutting, massage, lotion, etc. I brought my 6 yr old daughter in for both mani/pedi as well. She has been getting her fingernails done at the salon for 2 years now and knows what to do (judge all you want). The woman did hers and complained to me that she messed them up too many times. They looked fine when we left, but chipped off within hours. My main complaint is that my pedicure was not as nice as the last time. She seemed mad the whole time and did a shoddy job compared to the last time. They charged me $65. I left a $15 tip but left thinking I'll never go back there again. $20 to paint my kids nails that came off that day??!!? Usually it's only $10. $45 for mani/pedi gel with no real mani or pedi, just polish? Not worth my money. read more
