I was in a rush right before my vacation on a Sunday afternoon. We all know the hours are more limited on Sundays. I was taken one hour before closing, and had such a pleasant experience. The salon is so pretty inside. It's very modern, and they have A TON of different color choices to select from. I only got a gel pedi, and let me tell you how I almost went to sleep during the foot rub. I was willing to pay extra for a little longer. I'm a loyal client of the Cary Hatches Pond location where I have received pedicures for the past 3 years. Wade Ave is closer to home and I gave them a chance. Yesterday was my 2nd visit and last at this location. The receptionist is great and booking is easy. The nail spa shares the same theme as the Hatches Pond location, very chic Parisian and modern. However, this is not consistent with the uncomfortable seating here. You are seated at a makeshift shared wooden counter, in office chairs that are severely uncomfortable. You are squeezed into this space where you cannot stretch your legs. Your knees are pressed against the hard wood. I've never experienced such poor seating. Imagine sitting for over an hour in pain. I've tried 2 different nail techs and yesterday's service was better than the 1st. It could be the brand they use, but I do not like the quality of the dip powder they use here. Unfortunately my tech missed applying powder on several sides of a few of my nails and I did not realize until I got home. This was a loss for me, and I cannot spend my hard earned money here anymore. I'll return to the Hatches Pond Cary location to find another tech or spend my money elsewhere. This nail salon is so cute! It's in a nice little shopping center that appeared to be under or beside apartments. They don't have a whole lot of parking so I'm not sure what to expect during week days when things may be a little more crowded. I called about 10:30 to request an appointment and the earliest was 11 which was perfect for me. They have plenty of pedicure chairs as well as manicure stations. Everyone was very personable and the girl doing my pedicure took her time was very gentle. I got gel color and the pedicure was a little costly but i also think that's average these days. They do have a rewards program, and If I'm ever in the area again i will be back. read more

I suspect there is some factor with their online bookings that does not leave enough time e.g. in case someone needs polish removed. No on Jenny unless your idea of a relaxing mani-pedi is the Soup Nazi. She often rushes and is defensive and pushy. Has left me with cuticle scabs from power-sanding, crookedly filed nails, smooshed/uneven lumpy/bubbled polish, sticky lint-filled top coat, different length nails, and stained nails from polish she did not sufficiently remove. For dip mani's, she also does not bother offering a drink amenity or massage. You are not allowed to point out any issues; e.g. once when I mentioned some nails were slanted, she disagreed, annoyingly grabbed my hands backwards scrutinizing them and telling me they were were straight, and that my fingers must be crooked...that all people have crooked fingers. What do we think is more likely - that she made a little mistake easily fixed that her ego won't admit to, or that all her clients are mutants. Michelle was presented as acting manager today, was non-plussed about the issues, chalked everything up to 'a language issue,' and offered no recourse. If you want time to think about colors or have gel/dip polish that needs to be removed, don't schedule the 1st appt of day; the doors aren't open and then everyone needs to see the color packs at the same time and they can be booked back-to-back and in a hurry. If you need acrylic removed, arrive early and ask them to have someone prep you before it's time for your appointment. That way your appointment will feel less rushed and the tech will appreciate it. If you have a popular color, call ahead and make sure they'll have it; although I did this and they'd run out when I arrived. read more

So COVID really messed with my nail game, but on this particular day I was feeling good so I told the wifey that I'm gonna take her to Paris...and here we were living the good semi-post-Covid life. A Classique Pedicure was on deck with a Stella Artois in the massage chair cup holder. Who said guys can't enjoy a nail salon? Anyhoo, we enjoyed a relaxing hot water foot soak on this Thursday evening. I laid back and watched Food Network (my favorite), and it set me up quite nicely as I then thought why not eat at Spring Rolls next door after this. I digress, so my nails were trimmed, an awesome sugar scrub applied, a nice 5 minute foot massage provided, and glistening nails revealed. It was like I had new feet y'all! Not sure where these feet of mine were during COVID, but WE BACK! The staff was very friendly, I got to enjoy a nice brew as I relaxed, parking was plentiful at about 6pm, and it felt so nice to feel somewhat back to reality (even with my mask on still). I would like to write a review based on service I was given but I wasn't even given that opportunity. I called at 4:30 when they close at 6, asking if they had availabilty for dip removal and polish. The receptionist told me they wouldn't have time for the polish but could do the dip removal. No problem. I work during the week and don't have time so I'll make it work. I drove from wake forest for them to tell me that they had no more time and wouldn't be able to take me today but said I could drive 10 mins to a Cary location and see if they had availabilty.....When they had 45 mins until closing. I've been going here for a few months now and can finally say Paris Nail Bar is the top notch type of nail salon I've been looking for all this time in Raleigh but could never find! Leah and Jenny are both incredible techs who will listen to you and make sure you leave with full satisfaction every time. I've had beautiful acrylics and dip acrylic nails applied by both of these lovely ladies and have never been disappointed. I will say that this is not the type of place to get you in and out of there quick for a fill, but we want quality over speed when it comes to a mani, don't we ladies? The pricing is on point and to add, they have a huge selection of beverages (alcoholic and not) for your enjoyment during your service. Also, there were only two people in there getting serviced... I've seen nail places where every seat is taken and they let you wait to be seen if you're a walk-in. Kim is the best nail tech on earth. That is really all I can say. She takes her time and always practices clean safety measures. I have been coming here off and on since they opened years ago. Yes, the shop could use a refurbishment, deep clean and different pedicure chairs; as the ones they use to have were amazing and reclined all the way to a bed while you were being massaged. At checkout the credit card processor wasn't working and I had to insert my chip several times, so many I lost count. The girl behind the counter said to another employer the machine is doing the same thing again and asked me to swipe my card. I was hesitant but I did and it appeared to work. The next morning I checked my account to realize they charged me twice. That's $91 times two! I immediately called them and they said wait until Monday or Tuesday next week to see if it's a glitch. I waited, charge still there. So I reached out to my bank to assure the duplicate charge was accurate, they confirmed it was. I called Paris Nail and they told me to wait until Wednesday or Thursday to make sure because square can take some time to process. I told them this isn't how you treat a customer you want to keep. The color we picked is perfect and she did an excellent job with my nails. I was nervous bc of covid they aren't allowing folks to touch the color swatches but Diane was quick to show me how we could test the colors before committing to them. I'm always a little scared to try a new place because quality and nail shapes can be off. But she was perfect. I'll definitely be back. Excellent service and a beautiful salon! We came on a random weeknight with no reservation and we only had to wait a few minutes even though they were clearly full! Super lucky they clearly held spots for walk-ins. We were greeted with the standard COVIDA precautions (temperature check and hand sanitizer) and very friendly service. The prices are standard of the fancier salons so no surprises there. Our nail techs were great for the pedicures, really nice and did a great job. The salon was so pretty and had nice and great condition chairs. They have a very extensive drink menu (beer, wine, soda etc) so that was a nice touch! It's so crazy because i'm new to the area so I was excited to get a pedicure. Before I came, I called and asked them if they could do acrylic on my toes, the lady said yes. So I set up an appointment to come after work, I get there, i'm excited, the front desk staff was nice. I sat down, I was told that they cant do it. I came here today for the first for a gel manicure and pedicure. I made an appointment online for 2pm and arrived around 1:50pm. I was told to find a color, and they would let my nail tech know I was here. Benji did my nails, and he did a really nice job. He was tentative and helped me pic a color for my nail because I showed a picture of what I wanted. While I'm happy with my nails, there were 2 downsides. The first being that I didn't leave the salon until about 4:15pm from my 2pm appointment. Don't get me wrong, my nails look nice, but to be there 2 hours was a lot. The 2nd issue I had, is being charged for my drink. I should have asked if it was complimentary when it was offered, but I assumed since they market themself as a nail bar, that it was complimentary. This was my first time being charged for wine at a nail salon, and I didn't know until it was time to pay. I was asked if it was my first time there, which it was, so it would have been nice to be told that the drinks are not complimentary. My pedicure ($42), gel manicure with design ($40), and Prosecco ($8), totaled $90. Overall, I would come back. Just make sure you have time to wait, and factor in paying for a beverage if you want one. read more

Alright - 4 years later! I am still a customer at PNB, but my experiences here are not as relaxing as they used to be. When PNB first opened, they did a great job at setting up a truly relaxing atmosphere, and the premium cost felt justified because of the customer service and talent. However, PNB has devolved a bit into a regular ol' nail salon -- getting super busy, a bit messy, and not as committed to getting your nails right. I've brought both my sister and cousin here -- after raving about PNB -- and both had very bad experiences. Their nail color chipped after a day or so, they felt rushed, and one of the nail techs was actually pretty rude. My nails look ok, but the atmosphere is no longer a serene environment like it used to be. They've put up dividers to separate you from the nail tech, which is fine, but those dividers are positioned pretty low...so if you're wearing a watch or a ring, you will almost certainly hit it. The nail tech sits further away from you, so you are actually extending your arm pretty far so they can paint your nails. There is a giant table behind the nail tech with a bunch of supplies. It looks crowded. And they no longer use the UV light under the table; they have a portable UV light they'll put on top of the table now, which can only fit 1 hand at a time. Your table space will quickly become crowded. They are also constantly running late. I think part of that is because they don't give themselves enough time on the booking system (they have a manicure listed as taking 20 minutes...) By the end of your service, you will feel rushed because they are running late. When I ordered a drink, the nail tech returned with a different drink (they were out of whatever I ordered) and they still charged me full price for that. The music plays loud which would be fine, but the music they played was just laced with sexual expletives. I looked around and saw several folks giggling because it was pretty wild, lol. There's a time and place for that, but PNB should not be it. All in all, I think PNB continues to be an ok place to get your nails done, but there is nothing separating PNB from the other salons in the Triangle area anymore. read more

I tried Paris Nail Bar last night for the first time, and I will never go back. My fingernails are still sore today after my manicure yesterday that took.......2 hours!!!! I had a gel manicure removed and got new gel polish. The woman doing my nails only left the remover on for a minute and then scraped my nails to death using a metal tool. My nails are so sore, they are sensitive typing this review. She spent so long on the cuticle of one nail (I get my nails done every other week elsewhere, this was not needed) and then tried to re-do two nails during the second gel coat. That left me with awkward ridges, a little black spot in the middle of one nail and very, very uneven finishes. She worked so slowly, its like she wasn't sure what she was doing. After all of this time I was at least hoping for a nice hand massage like I had seen the clients on the right and left of me get but she literally put lotion on my arms and then got a hot towel, wiped the lotion off and motioned for me to go pay. At checkout, she apologized for taking so long and asked if everything was ok. It wasn't till I got home that I noticed on top of all of the gel mistakes, every single nail on my left hand was filed with a complete slant . I am sure there are good technicians here, but the one I had was truly the worst one i have ever had. I am nervous about how sore and thin my nails feel and what I will need to do to help them recover from one awful manicure. read more

I used to love this place, actually Benji only...I honestly could sue the manager. I booked a pedicure and manicure. My pedicure service took 3 hours... 1 hour to tell me that booked my service on a day Benji was scheduled out. Yes, he is that awesome that I would wait as he is never late. 25 mins to wait for a new technician...the manager assigned her son who was NOT a licensed tech..you could tell as he was super nervous and took 30 minutes to start my pedicure. He did not know how to prepare the water or turn it on. He was fumbling with clipping my toes, and paused him to ask if has ever done a pedicure. Another technician (not the manager) intervened to have someone else continue to my service as the tech was fumbling with shaping my toes. The new technician rushed through the service... not once did the manager apologize or acknowledge my presence. I wasn't rude, loud or obnoxious. The result...90 minutes laster, a measly 15% off, poor pedicure and no manicure. Thank you for your appreciation Paris, glad to support your business! read more

I booked a group appointment for 4 to spend the day with the ladies in my family and to celebrate my birthday. They like to know your services in advance so they can block off time and be prepared. I really liked that because we also wanted to do dinner afterwards. We showed up a little early and they were ready for us. We all got the services we wanted, we had a fun day with their team and each other. We all got together yesterday and compared nails, everyone is happy with them at the start of week 2.
