I got a full set with gel polish about 2 weeks ago. The first week the middle finger lifted and I had to put glue on it. That's ridiculous for the first week. It's now the 2nd week and I'm missing 2 nails and on the left hand 3 nails are lifted and one missing. On the right hand I have 3 nails lifted and one missing. I'm a librarian so I'm not doing anything hard on my hands. I've been getting my nails done for over 20 years and I have never had this happen. The shape could've been better too. They do offer wine but I think that's so you don't notice the terrible job. The chairs are also uncomfortable. It's a barstool and I don't know how anyone can sit in that room get their nails done. read more

This place is disgusting and filthy. It smells like sulphur. They ignore you and neglect you if you're just getting a polish change or regular polish. They don't have a good selection of polishes. I asked to see their OPI gels and they hand me a cardboard box of polish covered in dirt and filth and dust. I don't understand how or why it's still open honestly. I'm going to preface this by saying none of this is an over exaggeration, it's as factual as I can recall. First impression: the place is absolutely gorgeous. When me and my friend sat down for our pedicures, we were offered wine. I am a sober person so I asked if they had a soda or water, but they only had water. They brought my friend a generously full glass of wine and handed me a rocks glass with literally 6 ice cubes and two inches of water...? I asked for a gel pedicure and picked a gel color. While I was getting the pedicure the woman attending to me rushed through the entire process so quickly. My feet were in water for less than 5min, she spent all of 10 seconds on each foot scrubbing the rough parts (which honestly made them rougher and snag when I got in bed), and gave me the quickest and weakest "massage" that was the equivalent of rubbing in lotion on my feet and legs. As I was distracted speaking with my friend, I checked back on my toes as she was polishing them and noticed she was applying the clear coat over regular polish instead of the gel I had requested. I accepted my fate. Once done with the pedicure, I was moved to the bar for a gel-X full set which was going to be done by the same woman. I do my own gel-X at home so I am familiar with the process, but it takes me hours so I wanted a professional to do them for me as a special occasion instead. As she fitted me for the gel-X nails I noticed that she wasn't comfortable with the process because she wasn't pushing them down to measure the proper fit. She started making cuts out of the bottom of them so they would "fit" and when I saw how huge the size of the thumb nail was that she picked out for me, I politely declined getting my nails done. I was anxious about the potential disaster to come and was simply no longer confident with her skills and just wanted to be done. That was the first time I have ever stopped a nail tech from doing a service because I felt uncomfortable and it took a lot of courage. I sat with my friend and talked to her while she finished getting a beautiful new manicure, then I paid for my pedicure and tipped well. read more

Sure there are fancier places and many to choose from, but every single times over the years I have visited, anyone who walks in the door is acknowledged immediately with enthusiasm (often by the owner herself Coco, who is the most friendly and inviting person, or by her husband Donny who is also wonderful). The place is clean, plays fun music, and one of the owners is almost always there with a smile, everyday. If you want an upbeat and enjoyable experience pampering yourself, come see for yourself. I made an appointment for 12 on a Sunday when they opened and got right in. Everyone was very friendly, but I had to pick 4 colors before they actually had one that was in stock. The pedicure was just OK. I'm always looking for somewhere that I like better than Nail Kitchen, but Polished had less colors and wasn't really as clean. It wasn't dirty, just a little outdated I would say. Probably will not go again and it is a little pricey compared to its competitors. read more

Unfortunately, I got a gel manicure here and all but 2 nails have fallen off within 48 hours. The edges were beginning to peel up that night, and even after falling off my nails don't appear to have been buffed at all. I set up a 1pm manicure appointment for a Wednesday 2 weeks in advance. When I arrived, I was instantly confused. There are signs on the door saying please wait until someone assists you and also a sign about masks. However, neither one seemed to be true. Someone doing a pedicure waved at me to come in and the place was a bit crowded. Definitely no social distancing or much mask wearing going on. I told the person at the front about my 1pm appt and he told me to go wash my hands in the back so I did. And then I waited for him to point me in the right direction but that never happened. Eventually someone else asked me what I was doing and once I told them, they sent me back up front where I once again re-iterated I was there for a 1pm appt. He found a seat for me and told me the guy doing my nails would be there shortly. Guy comes over with the mask around his chin. Apparently, me and 2 other ladies were getting their nails done. He asked what we were getting and then stated he was going to do their full sets first. I probably could have told him that I had a 1pm appt. We came on a Saturday and there was thankfully no wait. Color options are displayed on a "floating" table suspended from the ceiling, which is my only complaint as the table swaying while I searched for colors made me dizzy. We were seated together at two of the numerous pedicure chairs and immediately offered a complimentary drink. Options include red and white wines, champagne, mimosas, or beer; all with free refils! We both got the All-Out Pedicure package, because for the competitive price of $35, why not go "All-Out"?! I was very pleased with the service, my pedicure, pricing, and overall experience. I can't wait to return! Quick tip: Be sure to bring cash for tips. They accept credit card payments, but tips are only accepted in cash/check. They said a full set starts at $55 based on length, so i told them to give her the length that was $55. Her nails were not long at all, and they charged $70. Her nail person was meticulous though. Mine wasn't at all. Also, my feet did not feel smooth like they usually do right after pedicure. My daughter was happy with pedicure. I wasn't. They don't have all the bells and whistles that make a pedicure so great. No aromatherapy. Maybe for the one that cost more than $100. Not sure. The chairs aren't massage chairs, they're just still. Polished is a nice looking nail salon and the service there is good. There is a small parking lot next to the salon with convenient access and pay station. They also advertise free parking for customers. The reason for the 2 stars is that (as previous reviewers noted) it does not look super clean. The chairs are worn down and peeling and they have dirt and grime in the corners of the chairs and tables, there are no liners in the tubs, and the mask policies are awful. Masks around the neck, under the nose, no masks at all. The free wine or champagne is really nice and my pedicure looks good but I felt unsettled and uncomfortable there. If that doesn't bother you, the prices are good and the service itself was fine. read more
