Came here and signed in and waited. It's my first time. I needed to use the rest room so she told me that if i needed to she'd have to take someone else before me; very valid. I didn't mind, it only made sense. I used the bathroom and sat down and within minutes, i was next. It was very fast, which i liked but worried me a little. I sat in my chair and I specifically asked for cleaning and not thinning them, whatsoever, as i always do anywhere i get my brows done.They offer threading or wax, i went with threading. I did brows, upper lip and sides. She worked very fast; within minutes, i was done. i paid and tipped and went to my car. Still in the parking lot, i look at my brows and notice that one side is thinner than the other. Brows are cousins not sisters, i know, but naturally. You can tell one was threaded thinner, and it looked like a mistake. I used my phone light to look closer and found a white line under my left brow that my right brow didn't have, showing how much of it was threaded off. I also saw hairs still in the middle and under both brows, so i went back in and told her about them. She told me that she didn't use her glasses so she didn't see, which i didn't like because for intricate work like that, you should use ur glasses. No biggie, she cleaned the random hairs. I then told her that she threaded too much on one side. She told me she didn't see it and they looked even to her. I got close to the mirror and used my phone to extend a straight line from one end tip of one brow to the other, and showed her how one is thinner. She told me she could make the other thinner to make them even; which not only confirmed the unevenness but also i didn't appreciate the lack of accountability. I told her i didn't want to do that and instead i'd rather wait for the other to grow out. I was hoping she was quick because she's been doing it for so long, but quick in this case meant rushing and nothing good comes from that. People make mistakes sometimes but i think it's important to take accountability and maybe don't rush. It's not a cheap service and it's important to do it right. I didn't make a big deal of it because with brows and hair, there's not much you can do, the damage has been done. I simply told her about it and showed her and she didn't say anything other than telling me she can make the other side thinner to make it even rather than apologize. read more

Second time here, First time I went and they absolutely messed up my brows, a chunk of my brow was bald, one eyebrow was arched and the other wasn't, I didn't go back for a couple of months due to this. I decided to go back again recently hoping it was better than the first time. Raji worked on me this time, my brow shape was good this time but Raji is absolutely so rough on how she threads your brows, I felt like if I had to sit there any longer than I did I would've gotten up, I left with bleeding cuts under my brows and when I got my tint she didnt listen to what color I wanted to get. Will not be going back. You pay $40 for threading and brow tint just to get cut up and treated roughly. read more

I recently moved to the area and have been waxing my eyebrows. Previously I threaded my eyebrows for many years in New York. Lately I have been unhappy with the shape and thinning areas. I read the positive Google Reviews and decided to visit Purwa at this location. I'm so glad I did. I called to do a walk in and when I arrived I checked in with the Ipad and was taken right away. I spoke with Purwa about the thinning areas and she advised me on what to apply to the eyebrow hairs daily. She was able to clean up the shape and arch my brows without excessively removing hairs. Took my brother who just recently move to Raleigh, and had been LONG overdue to get his eyebrows waxed for his first threading appointment. He was VERY skeptical, but after being serviced by the owner herself he left smiling from ear to ear. She really worked MAGIC on his caterpillar eyebrows, and he plans on returning to get them redone. The establishment is SO clean, gorgeous, and inviting (not to mention it smells PHENOMENAL)! Had a great walk in midday / midweek experience for a brow wax. Walked by on the way to UPS and the beautiful space attracted my eye...namely clean, bright and open! There were a few customers in, but I was able to get seen. I was taken to a private room, lay down and let the hope happen that my aesthetician could figure out my asymmetrical face and one tricky eyebrow tail. We didn't chat much about what I wanted but she saw, she knew, and she cleaned it up (wax, trim, plucks) - which was what I wanted. She expertly followed my brow line and was gentle with pulling. Here's the best part...as she was applying the cooling lotion, there was a brow massage!! As someone who carries a ton other tension in my face, this was a truly unexpected treat. Will keep an eye on them the next few days but super appreciative of the customer service. Thank you! Previous: I was really disappointed in this service of hybrid eyelash extensions. I've gotten lashes many times but needed a new place since moving back to Raleigh. The very first night home I noticed some lashes falling out - less than two hours after the service. Five days later I already need a fill. I don't sleep on one side - I wash my lashes and abide by all the rules. Just seemed like poor technique. I won't be returning. Honestly, this time my experience fell short of expectations. I'm not sure what the aesthetician's name was, but she wasn't very welcoming. After signing in to have my eyebrows threaded, I was led to a chair. I wasn't prompted for what I was looking for, so I started the conversation by asking her to keep my eyebrows as full as possible and maintain the shape - pretty much just cleaning up around the edges. She got to work quickly and the process felt much more painful and abrasive than my previous experience, almost like she was rushing through it. I chalked it up to not having them threaded for a while/different work styles, but upon leaving the salon, I noticed my left eyelid was bruised and flecked with blood. Yikes. Even after giving my brows time to calm down, the next day they still felt tender and scabs started forming. The shaping was decent overall, but the inner corner of one is noticeably thicker than the other. Wasn't like that when I walked in. Disappointing. Guess if I decide to give it a try again at some point, maybe I'll just have to make sure Purwa is available. read more

Courtney did an excellent job, first time getting my eyelashes done was alittle nervous, but The Staff was very welcoming. During the process Courtney checked on me several times the whole experience was very relaxing! I even brought Idolize brow definition powder which last all day without smudging.
