I always come out happy with my eyebrows. I am picking when it comes to finding a new eyebrow lady but Christina is good. She doesn't make them too thin like others and gives them good shape. This was my first time at this business. The spa is located in a shopping plaza with a shared parking lot in front. Several signs about wearing masks & CDC warnings were on the front of the business and inside. There were several chairs that were spaced out inside of the spa. There was a display under the front counter with several items inside. I observed a bottle of hand sanitizer and a thermometer on the front counter. However the employee did not use the thermometer on me when I entered or require me to sanitize my hands. I did chose to use it prior to sitting down to be serviced. The employee that threaded my eyebrows was not very hospitable. She did put on a face mask and had on gloves when she threaded my eyebrows. I was happy with how she threaded my eyebrows. When I checked in a deal for $6 eyebrow threading displayed in the Yelp app but she would not honor the deal. She said that it was old. I was charged $9 for my eyebrows which was one dollar more than what is listed on their Facebook page. read more

Came here because of the mixed reviews figured I'd give it a shot. Walk in nobody was there. Lady was at the front desk is the one who did my brows. She seemed friendly at first. As she did my brows she was telling me to hold them further down constantly and hold them tighter and moving my head around which I wasn't too fond of. Felt rushed even tho nobody was in there and she wasn't friendly in her work. Prob won't come back here. Could go else where with friendlier service. Quick and easy. This place reminded me of my old threading spot in Brooklyn. You know it's legit because the front salon is full of threading chairs. Walked in on a Wednesday. No wait Christina did a great job on my shape and offered witch hazel or aloe to treat the skin afterward. Brows were $9. Tips in cash are always appreciated. After talking to Christina & explaining to her that the fact my skin was never properly healing, shows that my skin didn't break out due to "acne" but due to the fact that Christina re-used the same thread, over & OVER again. My skin is really sensitive and after I left her salon, my skin started to ITCH TREMENDOUSLY. I called to express my concerns, maybe 2-3 weeks after and this is what I was left with "Well, didn't you say you worked/managed a salon before? I walked in to an empty salon and was greeted right away. I asked if they would be able to thread my eyebrows; the sole esthetician said yes and rushed me to a chair, asking what I'd like. I explained that my eyebrows are naturally pretty thick, so I'd like to keep them that way, and only clean up the stray hairs without messing with the shape. She said okay and quickly got to work. I could feel that she was taking way too much off, but by that point, it was too late. At the end, my eyebrows were noticeably thinner, especially in the corners and arches - which I explicitly did NOT want. When I mentioned this, she said the "point would look sharper" and match the other side (it doesn't by the way, and now one inner corner is also thinner than the other). I'm super particular about my eyebrows, so was thoroughly unhappy. I hated that the whole thing not only felt rushed, when there was no one else in there, but that she also didn't respect my wishes at all. Now I have to wait for them to grow out again. Bummer. This place is taking every possible precaution with Covid and it really sets guests at peace. The staff wears those big face shields while they are servicing customers, they sanitize everything and still manage to do a beautiful job on eyebrows and other services. I was concerned about how they would adapt because eyebrow threading is normally a very up-close-and-personal service but they have done everything possible to limit any spread of Covid while delivering the quality that I've come to expect from Christina's after having come here for the past 2 years. read more

As a makeup artist and a business owner, appearance is important to me. And I don't trust my brows to just anyone. However, Christina is a brow wiz--and has been consistent in her treading since I began going to her more than a year ago. She takes her time, and makes sure that I'm happy with my brows before I leave. She is also great at LISTENING--whether I want to reshape, or just touch up, she makes her customers wants a priority. I have always gotten my eyebrows waxed but this place had great reviews so I figured I would give it a shot. Threading was super quick. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I went on a Thursday after work around 6:30pm and there was no wait. Christina was very friendly and explained how threading is different than waxing. Pain felt to be about the same as waxing to me. And it was only $6 if you have cash ($7 if you need to use a card). Location is pretty convenient too... right in the Walmart shopping center to the right. I've been going to Threading & Spa by Christina for eyebrow threading for several years, but went for my first facial today. Priyanka, my aesthetician, was incredibly knowledgeable about skincare and made a lot of great recommendations. I opted for the European facial, which includes extractions and steaming, as well as a mask, scrub and several other treatments. Priyanka was gentle during extractions and made the whole experience overall very relaxing. This facial is such a great value and my skin looks amazing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced spa treatment. I hope I can make this a regular part of my routine. read more

This place deserves all the stars. They have a bare bones setup, but the customer service and quality of your experience is wonderful. They have a clear system down for how they operate and they are clean and communicative through the whole process. It's easy to see why they retain customers. I will definitely be back to try a full facial. I got threading and a mini facial on a whim and enjoyed them both. The previous place messed up my eyebrows and she fixed them very well consider I didnt have alot of new growth. They look thicker and healthy now. Dont be put off by the shopping center vibe, stop in and treat yourself! The more you get threading the less it hurts. I got my last one in February and this time it barely bothered me at all. This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded by anyone than my typical lady. It was kind of hard to find because it's in the corner. Pros: they take walk-ins, very fast, not as painful as previous experience, cheaper Cons: not very clean, there were cotton balls and thread all over the floor, the lady wasn't that friendly, only one person working. Excellent service and my eyebrows look amazing. I didn't have an appointment but Ms. B, who is also the owner took me right away. The salon is exceptionally clean, which is critical for me. I choose to have my eyebrows threaded and tinted brown. I don't have a lot of eyebrow hair but I was pleasantly surprised that they offered this service along with a variety of facial, waxing, and threading services. Ms. B took her time to explain what she was doing each step of the process. I think it took around 15mn for everything and my eyebrows look amazing! She also gave me a tour of the private rooms for facials and waxing...extremely clean! The prices are unbelievable. All of the services offered here are reasonable for any budget. I am always so skeptical about who does my brows. I was so pleased with the results. The salon was very clean.

Since I moved to Raleigh from Durham, I've been a frequent visitor to Christina's. It's located in a strip mall and while not much to look at from the outside, they always do a great job. I pay $6 (plus tip) to get my eyebrows threaded, it takes maybe five minutes and the staff are always pleasant and conversational. It's walk-in service so sometimes I'm first and other times I'll have to wait behind 3-4 people. They ask for my preference back before starting and always let me check with a mirror at the end. Finishing off they apply some witch hazel to reduce the redness and voilà! Make sure to note that they do apply a $1 fee for credit card charges under $10, so much sure to bring cash! read more

I gave this place a try because of the other reviews and I was NOT disappointed. I've never had my brows threaded before and hadn't even gotten them done at all in a while (too long honestly hah). I was worried about going to a place and having my already not very thick brows razed down to pencils. But this place was excellent! It took me less time in the store than it did to drive there, my brows looked fantastic, and the woman who did them for me was super informative and answered my first timer questions. The employees here are very nice and make sure that you have your eyebrows done the way that you want them. Went here for the first time yesterday - it was a Wednesday evening at 6, so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of a wait. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Soni and she pulled me right back to thread my eyebrows and lip. I told her I'd never threaded before, only plucked and waxed, and she explained the whole procedure with me and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. It hardly hurt at all and I absolutely LOVE the results!!! Best part of all - ONLY COST ME $9! I'm giving 3 stars, because I've been here twice and I had two VERY different experiences. First visit, I had Christina. My eyebrows looked great, and it was SO inexpensive. Well, fast forward to my second visit where I had an, albeit sweet, likely very inexperienced young lady "thread" my eyebrows. It was a disaster. It's been close to 6 weeks, and my brows are still not back to normal. I tipped her $10 on $8, but looking back they should have paid me for allowing her to practice on my eyebrows. I don't care what anyone says, eyebrows matter. Learn from my mistake, and either only let Christina do your brows, or go somewhere else. I think I understand why the shop was completely empty on my return visit now. :-/ I'll pay a little more for quality, and you should too. It's your face, after all. read more

5 stars and I'm bummed because I don't even live here! My friend and I had a few hours to spend before attending a wedding. We're from SF, where threading regularly costs upwards of $12 so we were pleased to not only find a 5-star (quality wise) place, but also one at half the price of what we're used to! Might I add, I brought a friend who got HIS brows done for the first time. We left with clean eyebrows and a new shaping pencil. Highly recommend this place. Don't believe me?
