The quotes printed, music playing, and smell tell you to relax and enjoy a wonderful experience! Previously, my waxing experience has been - get in and get out- quickly walking in, drop your pants, and get on with your day. The biggest thing for me was the precision, time, and heat of the wax. I have been burned before at a bug box waxer, and being a brown skinned beauty my skin is a bit more sensitive to burns and does not always heal nicely. Christine made my experience pleasant and relaxing. She took her time, there was no rush and no burns! Not only was my service a bit cheaper then the big box waxer the customer service was immaculate AND I left with a goody bag filled with loofah to exfoliate, a pen, snd even a mini ingrown hair serum. Michelle is Ms. Awesome! I was very apprehensive before my first visit. I mean, come on, I gotta take my clothes off in front of a total stranger? And add to that, she is going to perform a procedure that is going to cause pain? Yeah, that sounds fun. I have received "sugaring " services before, and it was quite painful. Michelle used a product that is described as "hard wax". The video on her website indicates this process is relatively pain free. Nothing could be farther from the truth. This process was painful. But Michelle actually warns you when the pain is about to happen, and actually reacts with soothing words, she knows it hurts. Bottom line is the pain is worth it if you hate shaving the pelvic area. Michelle is very easy-going to chat with as well as very professional. I just had my first wax a few days ago and had full leg and bikini line done. She makes sure that it's not overly painful and done with super fast! The wax did tear a little bit during the process but it was no big. Today she emailed me saying that with the wax tearing like it was that she may have missed a few spots and that it wouldn't be an issue to get back in for a touch up, free of charge. Who does that?! Michelle, you're a liar, a coward, a shiesty professional, and ignorant. I greeted you and Ivy when walked in, was ending my call and had my car keys in my hand. Additionally, for something to be continuous it MUST occur often in a certain period of time. The period of time between waxing is too great for anything to be continuous. I was a long time customer. I made 2 appointments that were spaced out over a 2 to 3 month period after not being there for over a year. If you were clocking my time so hard you would have remembered that the 1st appointment I did arrive late, but was a DAY EARLY. You asked did I need to reschedule, I replied, "No" because it conflicted with my work schedule. You negated that part because you were too busy slandering me. I was on time today (I was In the parking lot at 11:54 AM for a 12:30 PM appointment) and have 2 witnesses, that I was on the phone with, on my way to Waxologie, when I arrived to Waxologie, and when I entered Waxologie to receive services because we can't enter until we receive a text saying the Esthetician is ready. Yes, these people will attest to this in a court of law. You don't dictate whether or not customers can be on their phones. As long as the customer agrees to the guidelines they are sent prior to their appointment, they are good. If you had a problem with me, you should have addressed me when you were checking me out and taking my payment. But the so-called "problem" was irrelevant because you didn't have problem taking money and letting me leave a $10 tip for Ivy. As the owner, if I was so "disrespectful" you should have asked me to leave, but you didn't. You're not best or the only Esthetician business in town dear. So, lose the ego. You could have called me instead of sending me a vague accusatory email hours later. That's called customer service, especially for a long time customer, and being an adult. You are clearly trying to slander me because you NEVER stated exactly what the so-called "problem" was in the initial email you sent nor in the response to my email. You intentionally waited to state the alleged issue on Social Media via a Yelp review response. Pathetic. Lastly, being married to a Black man doesn't mean that you are not a racist. Saying that is equivalent to saying, "I'm not a racist because I have a Black friend". Clearly, your husband nor did the events in this country over the past 5 years taught you anything. The terms you used and your behavior is what has been used and still is used to label a Black woman angry. I have the right to be when I'm falsely accused of something that I didn't do let alone was aware that there was a so-called "problem" until I receive an email filled with vitriol. Saying that my hands were in Ivy's face is subjective especially when I was stowing away belongings (keys and phone) because of my appointment. I cautioned you in my email response that I will it's harassment if you send any type of correspondence after the time of the last email I sent. You have the right to defend your business just like I have the right to defend myself against libel. I don't tolerate disrespect and being lied on period. And if you don't want to be in sued for libel, you better think before you write. read more

Michelle is amazing!!! I've been seeing her 1-2 times a month the past 2 years for bikini extended and eyebrow waxes and I highly recommend her. I was pretty scared for my first hard wax appointment after several bad regular waxing experiences, but was surprised to find out how much better hard wax is. Michelle was very straight forward with what it would be like and it was exactly how she described. She knows exactly what she's doing and is very efficient. Very clean and cute establishment, unsatisfactory waxing outcome. When I expressed that the wax was uncomfortably warm I was informed "it is hot wax". Areas up near the knee appear not to have been waxed. No attempt to clean up stray hairs (not referring to ingrown hairs) missed by initial waxing. I got my very first brazilian from Michelle in 2013. I was a young, nervous college student, but she was soothing and assured me that she would be as quick and painless as possible. She did a fabulous job, and I went there for several months until I graduated and moved out of the area. I had no idea (thanks to her) how truly awful brazilians can be until I started seeing someone else in my hometown. When I moved back to Raleigh about six months ago, I began to see Michelle again, and I am so thankful to be back in her hands!!! I'll never see someone else as long as she and I are both in the same area. She's truly skilled at her profession and genuinely cares about your wellbeing. Also, it's worth mentioning that she is a hard wax only salon, which I love. I honestly wish I could give Michelle a five star review because she is very good at what she does. I made my first appointment with her back when she was still with Oasis about a month in advance. In that month, she transitioned to the new downtown Raleigh location, unbeknownst to me. The email confirmation I received when I initially made the appointment indicated she was at Oasis near Creedmoor Rd. The text confirmation I received the day prior to my appointment didn't indicate where it was at all, so I just naturally assumed it was still at Oasis. I arrived on time at Oasis and found the door locked. I didn't see Michelle's card out with the rest in front of the door and then began to worry I might be in the wrong place...even though the door said "Oasis". Called Michelle, left a message and she called me back a few minutes later and explained she had moved locations. I had driven all the way to Creedmoor Rd from Clayton for my appointment, so I was a little annoyed. All would've been forgotten if Michelle had been a little nicer on the phone. Instead she basically told me that it was my fault I didn't know she had moved locations because I didn't sign up for her email newsletters and therefore didn't get the message. She said something really condescending like "I'm sorry my communication efforts didn't reach you." She also acted like she was doing me a huge favor waiting at the new location for me. Again, I would've overlooked the whole thing if she had handled it better or even apologized for the inconvenience. It's too bad because I would've gone back to her because she gave me an excellent wax and the hard wax she uses is really great. She was nice enough once I got downtown to the new location, but I wasn't inspired to give her my business after everything that happened. read more
