I'm not a regular of breweries, but this was a pleasant first experience for me. It probably helped that I came in a group, which made the experience more enjoyable, as this place is made for social gatherings. The atmosphere is very trendy in a hipster kind of way. While I didn't have a drink, they have veeery good apps, particularly their pickle fries and fried artichoke hearts. Highly recommend those if you like trying new things. For my main, I was in the mood for something healthy, so I opted for an Unbeetable Peach salad. This one had an amazing combination of flavors that oddly worked together. If you're in the mood for lighter fare, get this one. I also tried a little bit of burger from my companions, and in particular the Peanut Butter Jelly Time burger was a great concoction that somehow had all the ingredients (onion jam, peanut sauce) work together well. I also enjoyed their cooked-to-perfection sidewinders. The prices are a bit up-there for burger fare, so this is probably best for those special occasions or weekends with your friends. The beer is good but for me I was impressed with the wine selection. Not bad for a brew pub. Most of all, the BEST Beyond Burgers ever. so many restaurants put their heart and soul into real meat, but this place made the best beyond burger that I've ever had in a restaurant. The Jefferson burger is fantastic. Well, technically the Jefferson burger without bbq sauce is fantastic. The bbq is just too sweet for me. But basically it's a big hearty burger with a couple onion rings on it, probably some bacon, and a big slice of cheese. It's a burger you would eat before you go wrestle a bear or ... make something out of metal with fire. A proper substantial meal. Trust me, it's worth it. Speaking of onion rings! That's the only side I've had from there, but they are pretty good. The flavor is excellent but they maybe go a little heavier on the batter than I would. They are delicious. Uhhhhh.... can't comment on the dining experience as I've only had this stuff delivered - but I'll just assume it's great, aside from parking. This was my 2nd time. I'll be honest, my 1st would have been a 2 star, completely forgettable event. This time was phenomenal! Our serve was Isaiah, and he is GREAT! I had the beer battered cod, it was great. The sidewinder fries are crispy AND fluffy and soft. The beer selection is really good, especially if you like IPAs. The ambiance is really good too. When I started eating them, I bit into a small piece of plastic, then noticed there were several in my dish. We enjoyed being able to bring our dog in the patio area. The service for both the 2 legged and 4 was great especially with it being so hot. I had the Chicken Kabob with the mushroom risotto, the chicken was tender and could have used a little more seasoning but tasty. I paired it with a watermelon Heflin wising pint. I've been in on multiple occasions, and the menu & location have brought me back, though I think my last visit will remain my last, thanks to my inept, churlish server... I came in during happy hour for brunch. (I'm an accomplished tattoo artist who makes $200/hour, is booked 3 months in advance and who waitresses her way through college 20 years ago ~ point being that while coming from working class socioeconomic status, my career is lucrative and I generally spend money freely ...and I always tip generously. When tips are warranted. I survived an independently funded college degree in Marin County almost entirely based upon my waitressing & bartending tips. One good turn deserves another, and I'm happy to find excuses to spoil my servers.) I arrived well before the overtly affluent couple who entered and sat to my right at the bar. However, I was wearing just a casual tshirt & jeans - while the couple was dripping with the usual ostentatious indications of prosperity. Graff diamonds; William Westmancott; Louis Vuitton; Christian Louboutins and a shiny anklet an aging, though wealthy, ankle. My order was not even taken prior to the couple's order being delivered to them. Suffice it to say that my young server ignored me. Naïveté at its height! To think that the rich will be generous with their riches, to hope that the wealthy will display compassion for the working class simply because they have more to give. My husband and I stopped by Final Draft Brewing on a Saturday afternoon while we were up in Redding. We had come up to Redding to meet and potentially adopt two dogs, but decided to stop for a bite to eat before meeting them. It was fairly crowded so we put our name in for a table. They are doing socially distanced, limited seating both indoors and outdoors. While we waited for our table we enjoyed a pint from the bar. I tried their blackberry blonde and it was tasty. Once we were seated, we didn't have much time before having to leave to go meet the dogs, so we decided to share two appetizers. We split an order of the chicken nuggets and the adult mac & cheese. The Buffalo chicken nuggets were very tasty and satisfied a craving I had had for Buffalo wings for a while. The mac & cheese was super disappointing end it was extremely watered down and runny. It was almost like noodle soup as opposed to mac & cheese. All in all, they serve up a good beer and what seems like average food. If you have time for just one meal while passing through Redding this is where you need to go. An exhaustive beer list (seriously there's one for even the snobbiest among you), a cool and spacious red brick, industrial vibe (with excellent A/C) and outside seating if desired. The food is excellent and covers a range that should satisfy the whole crew. I recommend the fish tacos, the street tacos (with carne asada) and the pb&j burger (sounds wrong but tastes so right). If you have picky kids in tow there are staples like chicken fingers and fries that can't miss. The beer list is almost overwhelming but the servers are all expert guides as needed. Don't love beer? They have an imperial blurberry cider that is amazing (and strong at 10.8%) and several wines. Speaking of servers they're all long-timers who know everything about the beers and menu and they work HARD. They are what put this place over the top for me. I have had their "Thanksgiving" special (6 oz or turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, vegetables, and cranberry, and it was very good. I have also had their peanut butter burger, which I like very much. There is plenty of seating so even with COVID restrictions, there is always an available table. They have a patio which is heated, so as long as it's not raining, it is pleasant to sit outside. NOTE: There is construction, so parking is a bit limited. Have been going here at least three times a month since they opened. Servers John and Isiah are fantastic. Beer is great. Food is good. Now the problem; on recent visit, the onion rings were over cooked and greasy I Asked to send them back for new ones. Upon their return, it was the same onion rings. I asked the server to bring some fries instead, which had obviously been sitting around for quite a while. Upon leaving, I asked t o speak to the manage named Andy (sp?) who approached the table with an attitude. After explaining the situation to her, she said she directly saw to the cooking of new onion rings herself. (Pretty good trick when you are standing behind the bar for the one minute it took for the onion rings to return to the table.) Andy's demeanor continued to deteriorate after I explained that we received a $62.00 bill for a $42.00 meal. She blamed the server, telling us he billed it under appetizers. This was not so. I told Andy it did not appear to me she cared about customer service and she became upset further after I told her I did not believe what she was telling me the truth about the onion rings or the bill. There was no offer to comp the beer or food items, not that I was looking for that. She ended the conversation saying that if I wished to not return to the restaurant, that was my choice. This is the second like encounter with Andy and her argumentative and disrespect for customers. I am very disappointed as I really liked the food, beer, and servers but I will not return. Final Draft is the kind of brewery experience I wish we had more of in Sacramento. I wasn't expecting much from a brewery I'd heard little about in Redding, but our sit-down patio meal was very satisfying, from the food to the service to the beer to the atmosphere. As far as I'm concerned, the draft stage is over and they are ready for print. It's a super spacious restaurant, so it was initially sad to see it completely empty (written during the time of COVID-19). The patio, however, was one of the better I've seen. It overlooked a cool industrial type building and included a spacious back grass area with games and a food truck that were closed on our visit but I assume would be open in normal times. Everything they brought us was a taste bud homerun. The dirty fries, which were generously piled high with feta and succulent steak, were my favorite appetizer. A very close second was the pretzels with an addictive house-made beer cheese. Since I needed something somewhat healthy, my main dish choice was the steak salad. It was a perfect balance of ingredients and paired well with the blackberry infused house beer I ordered. Final Draft isn't reinventing the wheel in terms of what breweries do. They're just doing it right. I look forward to another visit to Redding so I can sit on their patio, sip a beer or three and much on those amazing fries! read more

Several establishments have blocked off public parking spaces for their use. We parked about two blocks away. We picked this restaurant because I wanted something like pub food. My wife ordered a California Burger and Potato Salad. I ordered Beer Battered Fish and Super Colossal Onion Rings. My wife liked the California Burger even though it was a bit messy; but, a messy burger is a good burger. Potato Salad was gray in color and had a strange herb taste (dill?). We both had a forkful, agreed that we did not like it, and pushed it aside. Beer Battered Fish was ok. I was expecting a flavorful tartare sauce to go with the fish; but, the two sauces, delivered with the food, were thin and seemed like variations on ranch dressing. I tried them on both the fish and onion rings. They did not add to the eating experience. When the onion rings were delivered, my first impression was: Wow, these are Super Colossal Onion Rings; however, they were greasy and, when they cooled, were limp. I expect that with very little adjustments in the kitchen, these onion rings will live up to their Super Colossal name. The restaurant ambiance was destroyed by the too loud, annoying music. On the other hand our waitress was excellent. Very cool atmosphere, as well as delicious food and tasty beer. All of the staff was wearing masks and enforcing social distancing as well, which was comforting. They had the AC going so it was nice and cool inside, and good tunes playing the entire time. I had a the Tart Berry Sour and a Haley's Comet Blonde Ale, both fantastic brews. For food, I split the Beyond Burger with my mom and we shared the Cowboy Corn Poppers and Crispy Fried Green Beans which were all awesome. HH and I split an order of fish and chips that were really tasty, but the highlight of the evening was the onion rings. They were so very good, and I am about the world's pickiest judge of onion rings.
