Great food to go with your drinks! I recommend the Brewmaster and Lamburgini burgers. The sidewinder fries were delicious, served crispy and hot. The service is friendly and helpful. They have a great cider from Humboldt Cider company on tap. Final draft is located in an area of town where there are a lot of transients and homeless camped near by. There was a 30 minute wait for a table but no sitting area (probably due to COVID). If you come on a day where the food truck park (right behind the restaurant) is open, you can go there to pass some time while you wait for your table. Otherwise, it's probably not a good idea to walk around the area especially if you have small children. read more

Came here on the suggestion of the hotel I was staying at. Parking took a little bit of effort circling the block and such. Parked a few blocks away. Grabbed a high top table and ordered the double IPA, pickle fries and a salad. Beer good. Pickle fries ok. Filet salad was meh. Not a filet cut of beef. It was a tri tip. I would have ordered the salad if it said tri tip. Waiter and all the staff were super cool. If I lived in the area I would probably hit it up once a month. read more

This is a go to stop for me in Redding. Especially late night. They have great specials and the food is above average. Actually, the burgers are quite good. Ask for the daily specials since they have things like taco night which works for most people budget. The icing on the cake is the beer. We went in Sunday around 4-430 for a burger. I think this may be our new hidden gem! Our server was really nice & attentive until he took his break & we needed him for another beer ;) We both ordered burgers; The California (no lettuce) which they held, med-rare, done to perfection & The Cowboy w/mashed potatoes. Gravy was salty but the burger was on point! Onion rings were probably the best we've ever had. Not over or under done. The onion still had a little crispness & the beer batter (which I'm not normally a fan of) was really tasty but not too salty. We shared a Miso Blonde Ale beer which turned into a second share. Very crisp, light, & tasty. Great selection of both food & beers. We'll definitely be back! The music wasn't too loud as it was in another new-to-us restaurant & the ambiance was really relaxed. Not rushed at all. We've been trying new (to us) local restaurants & so far, this one takes the cake. In the past month, we've tried 2. Both were a flop due to poor service, food, & or ambiance. This was a 5 star in all categories. If you haven't been in, take a drive downtown & venture in. I think you'll be pleased. I'm hard to impressed, but this one impressed me. We came here on our lunch stop on our road trip. We were excited since they had some good food and great sounding beer. We sat outside and it was nice, but our waiter must have been the only one working outside (sucks being spread thin) but we got our food super late and we ordered beers but only got one and canceled the rest since they still didn't show up after we finished our food. A lot of the other outside tables started getting frustrated and that totally changes the atmosphere right? Anyways we ordered: *steak salad...I always ask for dressing on the side because you never know and this time I was glad I did. The dressing was just meh. *beet salad A steak and fries. Since my wife is a writer the name of this place immediately piqued my interest. I was staying nearby and looking to hit up a couple local breweries within walking distance. I had the street taco appetizer (four tacos) and four tasters of their beers. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. They do the tacos in chicken or carne asada but they will not do a split, you have to get all four as chicken or carne asada. I'm not sure why as the cost is the same. The service was good but harried throughout the experience. I arrived and asked about a table and they said they had none available. I looked around and there were 10-15 empty tables marked "reserved". I was able to find a single seat at the bar and had my food and beer at the bar. I spent around an hour there and when I left there were still easily a dozen empty tables marked "reserved". Who are they for? The whole thing seemed odd and paired with the unwillingness to mix up the tacos the place comes across as a bit rigid but overall a good spot. As a long time operations guy I also noted that the staff was all kind of running around as if they were short handed...even though the staff to patron ratio was very high. At one point I asked for more water from someone passing behind the bar and she blurted "I can't help you back here" and kept going...but up to that point I had been served by 3 different people. I don't get it - that was the overall impression- the place has an odd system or hasn't settled in yet - a fair amount of disorganization and arbitrary silliness. This was potentially a great find for a stop on our trips up and down between the Bay Area and Portland, but it was unfortunate because no one was wearing a mask. There wasn't any signage, and we definitely got strange looks for coming in with a mask on. Luckily we were able to sit outside, practically alone until another masked group also came outside, but the staff serving us were unmasked. I'm sure the kitchen staff were as well. The beer was good, the food service was a bit slow (understandably so, it was very busy inside), and the staff were very friendly, but I just don't see us going back to a place that doesn't think something as simple as wearing a mask durning a pandemic is worth the effort. read more

If you find yourself in Redding and it's a hot day (it was 105 when we landed at 3 in the afternoon) I highly recommend visiting Final Draft. They have a great selection of craft beers, most of which I believe are made in-house. The Blackberry lager is a solid refreshing choice if you're looking for something out of the norm. No matter what your pallet, there's something for every taste from ciders to sours...lagers to ales...stouts to porters. Their menus is also very Americana with burgers, sandwiches salads and wraps to fit every taste. They also have great main dishes, but their burgers and wraps are what we all settled on...as far as sides their Sidewinder fries are AMAZEBALLS (just get them...you won't be disappointed)!! The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a pub/bar-style restaurant, with plenty of bar, high top and regular seating. Their staff is helpful, friendly and work hard to make sure you enjoy your experience! Oh, and the A/C is on point! All told, it's a great little place at the outer edge of downtown (If you're staying at Thunderbird Lodge, it's a 6 minute walk). I highly recommend supporting this local establishment and making an evening out of it! read more

I love that Redding has more spots like this now. I really liked the atmosphere of Final Draft. I don't know if it is different on the weekends but I came after work on a Wednesday and it was pretty mellow there. Not the typical rowdy crowd I think of when going to a place like this, especially considering they are downtown. They had a good selection of brews and their menu is the typical pub food which fits the nature of the brewery. My only complaint was that I ordered dinner and paid extra for some chicken in my salad, but they forgot to put it in. Not a fan of an owner that treats his employees like trash. I saw with my own eyes this guy pulled his employee to the side and began yelling at him for messing up at our own table. He looked and walked like the owner. I doubt a manager would even do that. It's disgusting. I get you own the place, and you run a tight ship, but there's a thin line between being a leader and a shitty boss. The food was mediocre, and it was definitely rushed. My wife and I came in for a sandwich on Sunday more than half of the restaurant was empty had to wait for 15 min to get a seat at a table which again more than half were empty. Had a very nice waiter who confirmed with the kitchen the only vegan option was a salad. Or when I asked there is also a beyond burger and request no cheese, Mayo or butter on the bun. Which was ok, just wish there was the extra step to get vegan Mayo or not use egg in the vegetarian options. The V on the menu is only for vegetarian. Service was great but no one wore a mask, I guess I should assume that is a given in the Redding area. I will excuse the cold tots because of door dash. But I will comment on the burger. I ordered a peanut butter jellytime burger. Great premise, poor execution. The burger was cooked great and the meat was tasty however if you are going to use a GIANT bun it needs to be dressed appropriately. My burger was so lightly dressed the whole thing was dry! As you see from the photo it lacked. Further, while the "jelly" part was yummy we could taste no "peanutbutter" at all. Also using old dried out hard bacon is not ok. I could barely chew it so I just took it off. My partner liked the red white and blue burger but felt it was under-dressed as well and, by extention, dry. We were visiting so maybe we're simply used to more caution but while the staff was friendly and the food was excellent we were a bit surprised that both the staff and most customers were casual about mask usage. Most customers didn't really bother with them and while the staff did have them there were not always fully on. That was the only glitch. A solid brew pub, especially for the area. Some of the beers were great others were just OK, the food was great for pub good. A bit expensive but borderline worth it.
