I can't say anything but great things about Filo and his crew. Filo has done multiple projects for my family and me. Whether we need a gate repaired, irrigation fixed, trees trimmed, or a full-blown yard remodel, Filo has us covered. With hundreds of plants planted, we have not had any issues with plants dying or with the irrigation. The same can be said for his weekly service. His crew keeps the yard looking great! read more

We had synthetic grass installed last December of 2024. They did a good job with the grass but broke lots of my landscaping lights. I called him to address the situation, and he wanted to charge me for fixing the broken connections of the lights they caused. We paid 25K for the project and expected a better treatment as a client. The worst part is that when we turned our sprinklers on, we found some broken pipes at the areas they worked on. I called him again to ask if he can fix those and he suddenly hang up on me while I was talking. I will never ever recommend this team to anyone. read more

I DO NOT recommend working with this person AT ALL. We moved new to Bay Area & were looking for a Gardner. He responded pretty quickly when we wanted to start the monthly service. But that's the ONLY time when he responded. Now it's been a year, he was working for us he NEVER EVER responded to any of our text messages or phone calls. But he will be very timely to call you for payment, without checking his bank details. We arranged for direct deposit for his monthly payments. Never returned work related calls. But even when the payment was done through the bank, he still calls & asks my husband why we didn't pay for the month. Now enough of sundry matters(?). His work. He never showed up to monitor what his staff does? For the whole year, we were so busy they we never got time to check out our garden. But due to Covid WOrk from home, I noticed so many things which were never not taken care of! Like these weeds on pavement, trees growing shapeless without any trimming, vines not supported, weeds on lawn etc. These were basic "maintenance" items, which were promised to us in our monthly service maintenance work. When I sent a photo & asked him to fix all this with valid photos, he did not like it. (Please note that this was my very first time in a year, when I asked him to fix something.) He started arguing about how he is busy with big jobs with big corporations and does not like to work on "small" jobs like this. (Please note that he responded & gave us an estimate. we paid him whatever he quoted us. I checked out with my neighbors, and that's the standard rate in my neighborhood.) New landscaping project: He promised me to come-up with detailed plan & estimate on Saturday. I wasted my week waiting for him and he Never showed up with any plan. Never picked up the phone or had the courtesy to return the voice message! New fencing project: which was of time Essential. He never returned our calls & voice messages even for an estimate. We absolutely love the landscape work! We had a big ground cover area as a fire break installed as well as a rock wall and new planter boxes. They fixed broken irrigation, planted a bunch of new plants and ran drip to them all. He and his crew weren't the cheapest but they did go above and beyond. They showed up early, worked all day every day and got it done fast. I'd hire him again. My only complaint, he's really busy and doesn't want to prioritize little jobs like mine so I'm having a hard time getting him back to do some work in the back yard. read more

Our yard was barely getting mowed and weeds growing taller than some of the bushes and shrubs. They were also filling our green waste can with other people's waste. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Hired Filo's company for bi-monthly gardening services. Filo talks a good talk without following through on his commitments. At first, he was extremely responsive and our yard was looking great --we have approximately 1/4 acre of maintenance--then, like another reviewer stated, his work became spotty. I was basically paying a monthly fee for his crew to mow and blow which is NOT what we had discussed. I notified Filo that we will no longer be using his services and paid for 1/2 of that month since we severed ties with Filo during the middle of the month. We continue to receive monthly billing statements (every month) since July 2017--hello...it is now 2018! Of course, I have left numerous voicemails--and text messages--stating to remove our address from their database and distribution mailing list. Again, no response! I have since notified the Better Business Bureau! Horrible experience and non-reputable company! Filo needs to spend less time BSing his clients and more attention to detail. read more

He has been very good up until 2 weeks ago. Gardeners came on Thursday (scheduled day is Friday) so our pool floaties were not put away. They ended up burning one of them (on accident of course) with the lawnmower. When we called him on it he said it wasn't his guys and that he would call us back and/or come visit. 1 week later still no call but him and his gardeners were doing our neighbors house and passed us right up. 1 week later (today) still no texts or calls and we have been contacting him everyday. I questioned his guys and showed him the floatie as well as the piece of wood that they chipped and explained the whole thing all over again. He said he was going to go call call Filo and figure it out. Not sure if he did or not as they left without even talking to us. UNREAL! Simple routine maintenance like pulling some weeds on pavement, trees growing shapeless without any trimming, weeds in the lawn that we were told we needed to take care of ourselves, you would think these are simple weekly or bi-weekly items but unless you ask them to do it they don't.. We have also been asking to have some tree supports redone for 3 months as they are now tilting (he planted these 3 years ago for us) and still nothing. His team, when we ask about Filo is always the same response "He is very busy". This is horrible customer service for something so simple. We do not ask for a lot of extra stuff to be done just the normal mow and blow. But if you see weeds, pull them! Don't blow mulch to the fence and not rack it back to it's normal ground cover. We put mulch in 1 month ago around some trees and today it looks as if we didn't put any mulch there as it is all behind the trees. So now I rack it back into place. Again their quality of service is horrible and I would not recommend them to anyone. CASE CLOSED- I would have given a 0 if I could! read more

We just used Filo's for several big projects in our yard and could not be more pleased. The whole yard, front and back looks like a new installation. They repaired bender board, trimmed shrubs and plants, refreshed the bark and hauled all of the trimmings away. They left our property in immaculate condition! We were using Filo's landscaping but not sure what happened in the last six months. Are phone calls are ignored. He is unresponsive and the crew comes out and mows the lawn even if it doesn't need it. The blow the leaves and don't trim or check the sprinklers. Looks to me like they are getting a lot of business and have decided to do the minimum .. We can do this ourselves and don't need to just be auto billed for nothing.. Save your money call someone else! read more

Im a new home owner and I wanted a simple front yard with mulch and few plants. After the work is done, At first it looked everything is fine but within weeks the irrigation started leaking everywhere, need to fix every-time. The bark they used has bugs and I think they are of least quality. The weeds came back within a month. He took me to devil mountain nursery for buying plants which I believe they are working together. Those plants are much cheaper in Home Depot or Costco. As I said I'm a new home owner and Filo took advantage. I think I need to do front yard work again next year. read more
