The weeds were coming in fast from all of the rain, they went through and took everything down and relandscaped the front yard around the house with new plants (star Jasmine), watering, and new mulch. Perfect storm of it being near summer time and that post-pandemic everyone is staying home and wanting to maintain/upgrade their yards. Wow! In all my years of shopping around for home services. I have never encounter a company that won't work with you as simple as scheduling. I appreciate the honesty though. Check out the screenshot and here a summary: I was looking around for a lawn service through Yelp. Selvin responded and asked for my availability and told him today between 4-6p. But, warned him that another would be around. Just a courtesy so it won't looked weird. I was open for another day and time but waited for his response. Then I get this instead: "don't worry, thanks but I'm not interested anymore." I'm surprised from a company with good ratings and 50 reviews. Instead to trying to find another day or time, you know typical scheduling process between a business and consumer. I give him credit for honesty, but he needs a reality check that people have lives and his company is not only one out there. I hired Selvin after my previous landscape company did not take care of my property as we discussed (and contracted to perform). Selvin's team immediately began transforming my yard back to the way it originally looked. They take the time to trim my plants correctly (not with hedge trimmers) which allows them to flourish. I moved into a new (to me) house earlier this year that has an automatic sprinkler system in the front yard. Unfortunately I hit one of the sprinkler heads with a lawn mower and it snapped right off of the irrigation line. I contacted Selvin and his team and he offered to come check it out the day of. After fixing the sprinkler head that I broke, Selvin and his crew checked the rest of the system and they discovered two more sprinkler heads that weren't working correctly! They went ahead and replaced those as well in a very quick and efficient manner. I was looking to have my entire front yard redone. Everything was taken out and a new driveway with pathways was put in. Now I needed a landscape company to come in and complete the job. I used Yelp to narrow my choices and had 4 of them come out to discuss the job, my ideas and provide me with an estimate. After receiving those I decided to have Green World do the work. Selvin came back out to discuss the details of the job. I have a tree in the front yard that drops leaves so was concerned how I would get those leaves off if I used mulch as the landscape cover. If I raked the leaves, the mulch would be raked up along with the leaves. If I used a blower, the mulch would be blown up along with the leaves. Taking into conservation my concerns Selvin suggested gravel and advised me to visit the local landscape rock company to look at color and size. I went there and decided on a size and color and the landscape plan was starting to take shape. We then had an extensive discussion on plants based on my ideas of the layout. Selvin provided me with an extensive list of plant suggestions along with their names. Using internet I was able to get a working list of plants and then discussed with Selvin to get down to a final decision. Selvin thought that it would take about 5 days to complete the job. It only took 3 days as he brought out a couple of extra workers to help him out. All material arrived on time and the work done was of high quality. They broke up and graded the existing soil, integrated planting soil into the existing soil, laid out and connected the drip irrigation system, laid out the covering fabric, planted the plants, laid out the gravel and tested the drip system. I was here observing most of the time and the quality of work throughout was excellent. I ordered some boulders from the rock company and Selvin went to there to pick them up. The end product was a beautifully landscaped front yard. The team cleaned everything up and a new front yard was presented. Green World was very competitively priced and their work was excellent - the best of both worlds. I would highly recommend Selvin and his company. read more
