We wanted our upper level large exposed aggregate concrete patio removed and replaced with pavers. We checked with several contractors for ideas and bids. Oscar landscaping provided the lowest bid along with a designer for the project. Speaking with Oscar was very easy, knowledgeable, and had great ideas. It was an easy decision to go with him! Our fence contractor used our front yard picture to promote his fencing company on the cover of Home & Garden insert in the Brentwood Press. Oscar Landscaping Inc was referred to us by an old friend who was quite satisfied with the extensive work he had done in his backyard. We have now used his services twice. Oscar and his team did a fantastic job on our back yard. This was a complete rebuild involving demolition, grading to correct water flow issues, installation of a French drain, adding a river rock bed, installing a new paver patio and pergola. He also installed new gardens featuring drought tolerant plants. The new gardens immediately caught the attention of pollinators, including hummingbirds, butterflies and honey bees. We contacted a couple of landscapers and Oscar gave us the most complete vision for our backyard. Our project required removing a large amount of soil and leveling out the entire 4000 sqft yard. His team only took 4 days to complete the job. Removing soil, leveling the yard, installing a brick patio roughly 20' x 20', and filling in the rest if the yard with mulch. Everything was done well, but it was missing a piece of the pathway. We asked Oscar to fix it and it was fixed during the 4th day of work. Contacted Oscar to have an estimate done for some landscaping and landscape design work. He came and immediately provided some good ideas. That is where the good ended. He emailed an estimate for $14,500 to install trees, flowers, plants, mulch, put in a drip system and get rid of an invasive weed taking over our junipers. He was not going to put in weed barrier nor put the standard 2 to 3" of mulch. All in all about 500 sq. ft. job site. He came in 3x what a previous contractor quoted and 2x what a diamond certified landscaper quoted. read more
