Love the fresh pasta here! Service is great and I love the dish with pasta fresh basil and fresh housemade mozzarella. It used to always be on the menu and if you ask they know what it is. So good!!!! read more

My friend had her rehearsal dinner here in the back room. It was a large group and the two servers were amazing. They stayed on top of all the orders, including many drink orders. I would definitely recommend for a private event. read more

Great ambiance, food, and wine. Finally got to try this place after going to its sister restaurant Vino Vino. Slightly larger than Vino Vino, it still provides an intimate experience. There is a small bar along the left side of the restaurant when you walk in. Love the chicken diablo pasta (try it with the fettuccine pasta instead). Their chicken piccata came out beautifully as well. Their house cabernet is a really good one to try if you like full bodied, dry reds. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back. read more

Very slow and frustrating service. From the time we received our entrees, there was about a 30 minute gap when we never heard from our server and couldn't get her attention. We were hoping to buy dessert and coffee, but it took so long just to get her to come to our table that we were already running late for a theatre performance so we just had to ask for the check. Food is great, but be prepared to sit for a long time with no assistance. read more

Figlio's staff lost our reservation (my wife called on Wednesday for 7pm on Saturday night) forcing us to wait 30 minutes by the door on a cold winter evening for a table. The food was quite good and the service (once we were seated) was fine. They would have gotten another star had it not been for the reservation issue. read more

VERY IMPRESSED. Small place big on wood fired pizza flavor. As some others mentioned its a great spot for a date because its like a fine dining restaurant but with the feel of a slightly more casual pizza place. I'm late writing this review as I went during restaurant week so I got to try a few selections from the menu....all EXCELLENT. I had some delicious corn chowder type dish to start off with. The bread with the dipping oil was so good I could have filled up on it myself. I decided to try the chicken pesto pizza and I was very glad I did! Delicious with perfectly cooked crust....the pesto and olives set the whole thing off. Flavor explosion. I wasn't a big fan of the tables being so close to each other but the food and service were so great that I cant wait to go back and try more things on the menu. This place gets my official stamp of approval! read more

a great little shop, hindered only by the smaller space. +1 for participating in columbus restaurant week. gave us a good excuse to visit. +1 for accepting OpenTable reservations. -1 for having to wait 10 minutes past our reservation time -1 for not having a vestibule. cold (or hot, depending on the season) rushes into the restaurant every time someone enters/exits. -1 for not having a large enough waiting area. we were crammed in like sardines next to the door. +1 for super-friendly, professional service. she gave us honest recommendations, and she was right. +0 for overall atmosphere. nice wall decorations. -1 for very tight seating arrangement. tables are very close together. it's intimate, but perhaps not with the people you came with. :) -1 for loud ambient noise. might have to do with the acoustic properties of the ceiling in the small room. -1 for lighting that was a bit too bright for evening. dimming those lights would add a lot to the restaurant's ambiance. +1 for trendy music. +1 for GREAT dipping oil + spices. the spices really make it unique. see pic: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/S2sUj5vsnLt2L6ehGiWAMA?select=D4T29MzJv1MJ5Ft6ZiV9hA +1 for great Pesto Chicken Pizza (grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, tomatoes, pine nuts and basil pesto sauce). see pic: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/S2sUj5vsnLt2L6ehGiWAMA?select=ymFkTmry5ASdqp819We3zw +1 for my date's Beef Tenderloin Medallions (on linguine with a red wine reduction sauce and asparagus). see pic: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/S2sUj5vsnLt2L6ehGiWAMA?select=KRHwxFI887uuAkKkPC01Pw +1 for good Warm Apple Walnut Cake (with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce). see pic: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/S2sUj5vsnLt2L6ehGiWAMA?select=5ZHRATq3SLvWlC3RmfL-kQ +1 for good Chocolate Silk Pie (with a crushed graham/pecan crust and fresh whipped cream). nice presentation. see pic: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/S2sUj5vsnLt2L6ehGiWAMA?select=1zAmuKlBVitnfTN0AB0e_w since we were so close, we could see the plates served to the folks around us. they looked great! i almost asked a stranger if i could try their entree... overall, food = 5 stars. atmosphere = 4 stars. recommended. we will return! read more

Came here on a date a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. The food, wine and atmosphere eased our first date jitters (that was mostly due to the wine though). I'll be honest, I am not a big pizza fan. I never have been. However, I love everything that has to do with pasta. I got the Spicy Tomato Blackened Chicken pasta. I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back read more

This is gupta. This meal was ABSULOTELY SCRUMPTIOUS. I CANNOT believe this place. It was sooooooooo good like ya man very very good

This was the first time we've eaten here and definitely not the last. The bread and oil is great, the pizzas (five cheese and one other one) were very fresh tasting, and the chicken pasta one of the people at our table had was great. The pizza crust was nearly perfect and something I'll Make a trip back for. The place filled up pretty quick after it opened so I wouldn't be surprised if there was a line most nights. read more

Great pizza, about the right size for one person. Loved that the menu had plenty of unique selections to choose from. The chicken and avacado pizza was excellent. The service was good, and our food came out fairly quickly. My only complain is that with tight seating arrangements and low ceiling the place can get fairly noisy. read more

Fresh ,awesome bread, garlicky , olive oil kinda place. Always have a great meal here. Try the chicken piccata and any flat bread.

This review is actually for the Riverside location (sorry, thought I'd try to consolidate reviews). 3.5 stars. Nice decor. Awesome thin crust pizza. My wife's favorite pizza, and my second favorite in Columbus (1st is Whole Food's on 161 and Sawmill - try it out, at $3.50 you can afford a slice!). Other menu items are good but not great, reasonably priced wine list. Waitstaff is attentive but inexperienced. read more

We have been going to Figlio forever. Tonight we went for the Restaurant Week deal. If you are not familiar, during this week (and other times during the year) many local restaurants have three course menus for a set price- $15-$35. You have a choice of one two apps, two entrees, and two desserts. I started with a crab and shrimp chowder, which was stellar. Not too rich-light, flavorful, full of seafood. Next was a pesto chicken pizza that had been in the oven for just a hair too long- luckily, I like it toasty brown. My only complaint was that the chicken had suffered from the heat a bit- several pieces were dried out and stringy. Finally, dessert- chocolate silk pie, which was indeed quite silky, topped with a fluff of whipped cream and a crunchy dense crust as a counterpoint. We have never had a bad meal here- we always count them as solid. read more

I guess I was actually in VinoVino, but I meant to go to Figlio and I ordered off of Figlio's menu, so it's all good. The two are connected by an open doorway. I was here for pizza but sampled a few other items as well. The pizza is very good. We had sausage and caramelized onions. The crust is thin and has a texture quite similar to New York pizza. The sausage was housemade and very good as were the onions. Fresh spices make this worth the trip. The pizza is priced about right. Drinks are expensive, but tasty. Desserts are also good. read more

I no longer live in Columbus, but almost every time I visit I try to hit Figlio for a meal. It has never disappointed me. The service is consistently fantastic, great wine selection, reasonable prices and the food is to die for. There are not a lot of vegetarian options as far as pasta dishes go, but the pizzas make up for that. The salmon risotto and crab ravioli are excellent, and the pizzas are always great (I recommend the mushroom, in particular.) It is a small space, so it can be a little cozy, but I wouldn't say it's uncomfortable. On weekend nights it can get rather crowded, so go early to get a spot. read more

Chain pizza restaurants never quite hit the spot the same way once you've had the perfection of Figlio's wood-fired pizza! Seriously, the taste is second to none and the atmosphere is worthy kudos. There are several options on the pizza menu, from the traditional, to speciality to making your own, as well as a splattering of other menu items -- and though I've yet to sample the entire menu, my selections thus far have proved exceptional in taste and in presentation. Figlio's is a treat that I am always looking for. Many, many, many thumbs up! read more

This time I wanna try a pasta, so I search on yelp and Figlio was the first one appearing on my search result. This restaurant was great. It is an Italian restaurant and there are a lot Italian pasta and pizza. The space was small, I could say just enough. Each table was pretty closed. And the environment was not quilt. In opposite, there was a little noisy. I ordered a Basil Chicken with Feta Pasta. This pasta is linguine in a basil pesto sauce with chicken, roasted red peppers, tomato, pine nuts and feta. It was not bad, and the basil pesto sauce with feta tasted nice. But the dish was too much oil when I was keep eating. By the way, I love their appetizer. They would provide a small dish of bread, and you can dip in some spices with olive oil. But I don't know which spices they used. But I love it. read more

My boyfriend and I were new to the area and wanted a delicious Italian meal. Someone suggested Figlio, so we went and we loved it so much we go at least once a month just the two of us & always insist on taking friends and family when they are in visiting from out of town. Such an intimate ambiance, casual but yet sophisticated, the food is well crafted and so delicious & the service has always been wonderful!! Definitely our favorite place to go on date night! read more

Ate here last night as group of thirteen, most of which were teenagers. The staff was cheerful and welcoming despite such a large group of chatty high schoolers. We split about 13 pizzas which the kitchen cut into slices so we could sample accordingly. My favorite was the goat cheese pistachio but the spring chick came in as a strong second. Overall, this was a great experience! Well done, Figlio! read more

Food was Amazing! Was kinda loud but waiter was so nice. Went for restaurant week! Great food Great Prices!!

I love this place but I've only ever ordered one dish from their menu because it's the reason I go to Figlio's -- the pear and brie pizza!!! Don't knock it until you've tried it, it is SO good. I love the atmosphere here, they play quiet standards and jazzy music which is a nice break from the loud Top 40 music played at so many restaurants. Just a really nice vibe, and that pear pizza is one of my favorite things. read more

I found this place while looking for some wood fired pizza, and I'm glad I did. It's in an adorable neighborhood full of nice shops and restaurants. The atmosphere in here is really nice - warm and inviting, contemporary decor. And the food was fantastic. I actually skipped the pizza and had the Drunken Shrimp Pasta and it was just about perfect. My wife went with a pizza with goat cheese, asparagus, peppers, and mushrooms. The pizza was delicious with a fantastic crust, though the whole thing was the slightest bit on the dry side. They had a nice selection of wines and a great red velvet cake for dessert. Friendly, helpful staff as well. read more

This is a great spot!! Their little patio is perfect for some wine + food with some friends! I went with two friends last night and our server was very polite and speedy!! Not to mention a great wine selection - we had a great time and will definitely be going back! You go figlio! read more

It gets 4-5 stars for the wine bar and wine tasting events. It gets 3 stars for the food. I have had many great times sharing a large table with interesting strangers and thought provoking conversations during the wine tastings. They are educational without being snooty or intimidating. Beginning wine enthusiasts can attend without embarrassment. The tables in the back are lit perfectly for sharing a great new bottle of wine with friends. The atmosphere makes it all the better. read more

While I did like Figlio, I'm not as wild about it as a lot of other people seem to be. The food was not particularly remarkable. I had the basil pesto chicken with feta - it was good, but I've definitely had better Italian (and I love both basil and pesto). The service was... alright. Our waitress seemed to forget about us for a little while towards the end. It's a nice atmosphere - cute little place with outdoor seating. I will agree it is a nice kind of place for a first date (which is why I was there). It may feel a little cramped though with the tables in such close proximity to each other. Overall, I certainly don't regret going there, but it's not at the top of my list to re-visit. 3 or 3.5 stars. read more

What a wonderful night out - my first C-bus restaurant week and I was elated that Figlio was participating for $20/person! We got almost one of everything and were disappointed with nothing. If you see Jonathan E.'s reviews - he posted great pictures. We started with soup and salad. The crab and corn chowder was my favorite - a delicious lightly creamed tomato broth with crab and a bit of peppery zing. I would bathe in it! The salad was a basic salad buffet (mixed greens, peas, eggs, cheese) but was tasty. To the main course! Seafood pasta was Y-U-M! Chunks of salmon, scallops, and shrimp tossed with bowtie pasta in a red pepper cream. Great. A little too intense on the cream sauce, but my date used bread to sop some up for himself so it all worked out! The chicken pesto pizza was awesome - the perfect amount of basil pesto chicken and cheese on a delicious thin crust. Would definitely get this again! Then dessert. I'm not a big dessert fan, I get pretty full on meals and appreciate decadence in my entree's versus a sugary dessert - but I I think that apple cake may have changed my life. Literally. I want it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The chocolate pie was like eating straight sugar, so I only had a nibble - but if chocolate is your thing I'm sure you will enjoy. Our waiter was pleasant with a great smile. I really appreciate a waiter who is able to be attentive but not pushy and always at the table. Honestly, the only downfall of the place is the unfortunate size - its cramped and hard to have a private conversation because its so loud and everyone is all around. read more

The food tasted great. The portions were pretty small for the price. It could also be because there were five of us and we were all trying to try the different dishes. We got the truffle mushroom pizza, shrimp pesto pizza, bistro seafood pasta, chicken diablo pasta and the spinach argula salad! We were here in time for the happy hour so we got the pizzas for 5$ each and each of us were able to enjoy a martini. Its a casual vibe~~ and their tiramisu cake is the perfect dessert!! read more

Figlio - Italian Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

See all

Nothing impressive or noteworthy about Figlio's pasta, pizza, or salad. Food-wise, they're just like any other perfectly average Italian restaurant. It's a tiny place so be prepared to be bump into people when you're awkwardly waiting in the front for your table. There's technically a bar area but it feels super cramped and the people who work there give off the vibe that you're in their way. I was annoyed that even though we had a reservation we had to stand around waiting for 10 minutes and the hostess was not apologetic. They should try to be warmer and more hospitable in the front, especially if they're running behind schedule. pro: they make SUPER strong gin martinis read more

One of my favorite Italian places in Columbus. The service is fantastic and the food is delicious. The owner is also super nice. They are always busy, so don't be surprised with wait time (though it's not horrible). Also, the drunken shrimp pasta is phenomenal! read more

Pretty simple review: great atmosphere, great service, great food. It's a little small, but that makes for a lively environment, without being too close to your neighbor table. Love the wood-fired pizza as an appetizer. We were a table of four and all of us ordered different entrees, and all of us were more than happy. If you're looking for great food that's not over the top, give it a go, you'll enjoy your experience. read more

I really like Figlio! Wood-fired pizza, pasta dishes, and what more do you need? Cocktails and a wine list. Very good service, A warm atmosphere. Good value. I recently saw one of these in Kettering, so it looks like they are expanding. I predict great success, because this place is excellent. read more

Yum. The pizza and wine selection are awesome here. I love that it's an intimate setting and connected to vino vino. The outside patio is small, but it makes me feel like I'm back in France as I sip wine and people watch. Bottom line, though: the food and drink are impeccable. read more

Ive been going here for year, and i have never been let down. the atmosphere is very busy and cosy. The staff is friendly and attentive especially my waitress Kellen. She made my table really comfortable with her bright smile. All the dishes in my group including the flat bread pizza was clear out. Vary rare considering ive seen many doggie bags with the group i was with. Ill know ill i be back. read more

I couldn't hear a damn thing my friends were saying. This place was so MEH. I can't even think of a pro honestly. Here are my cons. Cons: -Overpriced -Next to no parking...bring your walking shoes! -The tables are SO CLOSE. I can hear EVERYTHING YOU ARE SAYING except for the people who I WANT to hear. -No appetizers...what is up with that? I got food, I ate food, we left. The food wasn't horrible. That's it. read more

Definitely a great spot for a date night setting. Came here on a Friday night with reservation in hand, and was seated promptly. It was already packed by then, so a reservation is probably recommended here. The ambience is definitely a plus; intimate atmosphere with a bright setting and the strong smells of wine and aromatic pasta sauce all around gave a very vibrant aura. The food was very good, I had the pasta diablo and it was delicious. Pretty rich but with just the right amount of heat. The mixed drinks were a little disappointing, my 9$ bourbon was small and weak for the price tag. Check this place out if you are looking for a memorable place to have good food and conversation! read more

Great pasta and pizza! Free bread is always a plus and it's in a great spot on Grandview Ave with outdoor seating. I liked the pizza better than the pasta but neither disappointed, and the portion sizes were great! No complaints. read more
