Such a little gem. We stopped in for a snack. Delicious yummy Sushi. Wonderful bartender made us Gun and Tonics with an Hibiscus and Orange Peels called Kali. A local Gin. Just a wonderful experience all around

Went here on a whim and it was kind of disappointing. There was no one at the hostess stand so we had to wait a while to be acknowledged. Once seated, our waitress took a while to come over. Place is cute and currently decorated for Christmas. Wasn't a fan of their water. Ordered a lemon drop and it took a while to arrive despite them not being busy. Lemon drop was pretty good. Food also took a while to come out. Shrimp tempura roll was tasty. The crab feast (?) was also tasty according to hubby. Ordered an app of the fries and they came out with the rolls, not the best but still good! Happy to have them or would still be hungry. Food is a 4 but slow service drops the experience to a 3.

We've been here for both takeout and dining in. Most recently we ordered poke bowls and sushi- everyone was very pleased with the take out and the flavors were seriously amazing. Every time we go here or do takeout it's consistently yummy. I'd say if you're dining in, get a reservation for sure.

Tiger Tempura Roll and Sweet potato roll

So I ordered takeout from Fighting Fish and didn't get the full dine in kind of experience but everything else left a great impression. From the moment I hit the order button, the food was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. The inside vibe seemed really casual and chill from that brief moment I was in there it was calm. I went with the Tiger Tempura and the Sweet Potato Roll, and honestly, I wish I had doubled my order. Both were really good and fresh. I was curious about the sweet potato roll, that was new to me and was different than what im used to seeing on a menu but I was excited and I'm so glad I tried it. It was simple and just enough to stand out. If you're in the area and craving sushi, I recommend giving this place a shot. You really can't go wrong with fresh, well-made sushi. I'll be back to explore more of the menu for sure.

Miso soup and ginger tossed salad

Monday 7/7/25 5pm Had a taste for some sushi stop by to fighting fish cause it was close to me at that moment. I stopped here one time before before whatever reason they weren't open so why not? Upon entering, it's not very appealing, but once you're inside the restaurant It's very nice. This is not a big restaurant but appears to be Family friendly, good for a date or just eating by yourself. There were about 6 to 8 people already in there. I was seated immediately, and my order was taken shortly thereafter. I ordered Tobiko roll, California roll and shrimp tempura roll. I also ordered a ginger salad and miso soup. This is the first time I order the tobiko roll and it came with different colored tobiko. I addressed that with the waiter he assured me that it was the same thing. I'm used to the orange Tobiko, but I decided to try it anyway. The different colors were very appealing to the eye. There was a slight fishy taste but Still good. I also ordered a California roll which was good and a shrimp tempura roll which was good. I did ask for some more eel sauce. Ginger salad- VERY good! I like that they had avocado and the salad and tomatoes. The salad was very very fresh. Miso soup - that miso soup was lacking something. It tasted very bland and I'm a big fan of miso soup. I didn't even drink it. This restaurant was a bit more expensive than what I'm used to paying for the same order by about $10 - $12. The service was good I would return.

Fighting Fish serves some of the best quality sushi in town -- and at prices that seriously can't be beat! Every piece l is fresh, beautifully made, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the difference in the quality of their ingredients. The staff is just as impressive -- super friendly, attentive, and always make you feel right at home. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, the service is consistently fast and welcoming. If you're a sushi lover looking for top-notch food without the high price tag, Fighting Fish is the spot. Delicious, affordable, and always a great experience!

Fighting Fish had good reviews so I decided to walk in on a Tuesday night. Got seated right away. They have a relatively big space. 4/5 They serve complimentary miso soup. Had roasted corn guacamole, salmon crab bake roll, rainbow roll, and California roll. Overall the food was alright, nothing out of ordinary. 3/5 Service was good. 4/5 Overall, the food didn't quite excite my palate. Would give this Americanized sushi spot 4/5

This restaurant has street parking available. Well decorated and seating is decent. They have lots of tables as well as bar seating. The staff were nice. The sushi was good and decently priced. The miso came after we got our sushi and was average. They had a lot of shellfish options (if you have allergies be aware).

Fighting Fish Poke Don
Connie T.

My sushi lover friends love Fighting Fish and say it's one of the best options in town. We went during lunch on a weekday and it wasn't too packed. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side so I'd recommend a reservation to be safe. There is only street parking as well. My friend enjoyed the poke don and wished it came with more fish. I got the keep it classic lunch combo where you can choose three classic rolls. I got the sweet potato roll, shrimp tempura roll, and California roll and really liked all of them. I usually can't finish three rolls but they were petite enough that I could. I've also never seen Japanese purple sweet potato used in a roll.

Calamari
Caroline D.

This place is great! Got the gyoza and calamari apps and some umeshu (Japanese Plum Wine). The gyoza were perfectly crispy and seasoned! The calamari was so good and the fried jalapeños mixed in were perfect. The sauces were really well done too. I forgot to take a picture of the rolls but I got a spicy salmon and sweet potato roll and they were really good! The ambiance at night is perfect it's pretty dim with candles and it's very cozy. Make sure to have a reservation on weekends or be prepared to wait! Staff is great.

House Salad
Maya O.

Fighting fish has such a clean and fashionable interior with excellent, attentive service. The Matcha Mocktail I had was so good and mixed well, along with a fresh house salad. The firecracker roll tasted fresh and balanced as no one flavor was overpowering. I enjoyed the tuna nachos, which I would never normally get so I'm glad i got to try, but one of my friends thought there were too many flavors happening. Overall, great and fun experience!

SO GOOD. A SUSHI BURRITO IS QUITE A CONCEPT. I also had the tower. Left feeling light but full ! I will definitely be returning.

Great sushi. Used to order them on Uber eats all of the time. My go-tos were the tiger tempura and last samurai along with the edamame.

They are reasonably-priced and the portions are perfect. I also almost always get a boba with my poke bowl. One of my favorites is the taro milk tea. I've never actually sat down in the restaurant to eat; I always get takeaway. I've been seeing Ginza Soot but haven't tried it. My husband wanted ramen (we usually go to Takara) and we saw Ginza had ramen on the menu so we decided to try it. We ordered takeout: -Korean wings half regular and 1/2 spicy. They were just okay. Better Korean wings are available around town so I'd skip these next time. - Beef gyoza- reminded me of the frozen ones I buy from Lotte or Trader Joe's. They were okay but I didn't get the 'made in house' vibe from these. I've had better. Wouldn't order them again. - Pork tonkatsu ramen spicy. Granted it was takeout, but the package seems like it was assembled and stored in the fridge until someone ordered. The broth had to be heated up. It wasn't great. Wouldn't order it again. - general Tao's chicken spicy. This was way too sweet and not a hint of spiciness. The broccoli was overcooked. This is on par will mall Chinese food. Actually I've had better general Tso's at the mall kiosk. I bet the drinks and teas are good. For food, this one is not for me. This goes in the once and done column for me.

This is an acquired taste, but not bad at all.It has a strong fishy smell. Also, we ordered a poke bowl with 2 protein choices, another poke bowl with 3 protein choices. You can pick from a variety of ingredients and everything looked fresh. We also had the General Tso chicken with broccoli and white rice. Let me tell you, it was VERY HOT. Not spicy hot, like blow on your food as you eat hot, so be careful. It was very flavorful though and I took some leftovers and reheated in the air fryer just fine. My husband tried a watermelon drink with a clear ball at the top that made for an interesting conversation. No, he didn't swallow it. Definitely try this place. It had many other things on the menu.

Everything sounded good and everything I tried had excellent flavors. Prices are about what you'd expect. Tons of variety in sushi alone, but the menu is so huge that it can definitely be overwhelming. I'd recommend choosing one section and committing to choose from within it because it's very overwhelming otherwise. It's quite small inside, so you'll be very close to the table next to you. It's definitely not the place if you're bothered by close proximity to others or if you are uncomfortable conversing in close proximity to the strangers next to you. If you have any issues with strange people being near you, you may not be able to tolerate this place. I really loved the ceviche with the soy sauce, green onion, jalapeno and sesame seeds. It was very flavorful! This particular ceviche was in a different place on the menu. Just a heads-up, I had a great waiter who informed me that the tamago has gluten in the binder, so definitely bear that in mind if you have gluten issues, as opposed to simply reading the menu and judging by that. The Tina roll made gluten-free was delicious. Somehow, there's gluten in the spicy sauce so, unfortunately, that's part of the dish. I really would've enjoyed the spicy sauce on the sushi, but appreciated the waiter's forewarning that the spicy sauce has gluten so that I didn't get sick. As for service, it was exceptionally warm and welcoming staff, very genuine. The waiter was excellent, and he even gave a recommendation without waiting to be asked, which I love, and his recommendation for the soy-based ceviche was wonderful. It had a surprising and very much-appreciated bite from jalapenos. The more traditional ceviche had a clear sauce with sliced jalapenos, and that was good too. I love that this place isn't afraid of punchy spice. There are a number of spicy options, and they're never dumbed down to please everyone. The fish didn't taste quite as clean and fresh as I'm used to, but the flavors in all of the dishes were amazing! No one got sick or anything like that, but the flavor of the fish itself could've been better in that sense.

It isn't an exaggeration to say our whole family LOVED it! We went back today to find that they no longer served poke bowls and only had boring Chinese food. We were hungry so we stayed anyway. The General Tao Chicken and fried rice was some of the worst I have ever had. Rice is flavorless. Chicken was too sweet and not good quality meat. The Beef with mixed vegetables was terrible. Only thing decent was the egg drop soup. Service Don't have any complaints. They are nice and helpful. Ambiance Nothing special has a few tables to sit at. Decor is boring. Place is clean enough.
