Sushi was great! Wonderful staff and fresh sushi! This is my new spot for sure. I love the wide selection in f rolls. Also they have a menu that has pictures of all the rolls. I love to see what it looks like before I order.

Tokyo Sushi is a decent place for a quick meal when you have a sushi craving Located off Staples mill in a strip mall with Publx and a few other restaurants, they are pretty convenient for us. Nothing fancy, though very consistent and reliable. They are always spot on where it counts most: fresh food, friendly staff, and quick & efficient service They have all the basics for sushi and rolls and a nice selection of bigger "fancy" rolls. They also offer warm dishes like teriyaki, tappenyaki, and udon. Last night, we just went with the basics. What we ate: Aged tofu Crunchy spicy tuna White tuna Alaska room Sweet potato roll My rating rationale  +1 Service +1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +0.5 Presentation +0.5 Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

Great sushi and always friendly service. Restaurant is not very big but it's nicely decorated and not table overcrowded! It is tucked in shopping center next to Publix. This is our go to sushi spot! Sushi is always very fresh and super tasty

This is our favorite sushi restaurant in town. It is reasonably priced, bold flavored and very low-key. Everything is well prepared. We came here the past Saturday. It is in a strip mall on route 33. We ordered pan fried dumplings, 5 rolls, and chicken fried rice. Everything was super delicious. People working there were extremely nice. If you crave sushi, give it a try!!

One of my favorites for sushi. They never miss and you get the best service! Even when they are busy, they remember you. I don't just go for the food, I go for the experience. Even when it's busy, it's calm. The place just feels like home in a way. Sushi rolls never miss!

7:30pm ish 12/6/22 Tuesday I really wanted some hibachi. Something I haven't had in a while. Went to Tokyo, sushi and ordered a shrimp and scallop hibachi, a California roll, avocado, a mango roll, and a miso soup and salad came with it. The rolls were average. Miso soup was average. Salad is a salad. But what I really want to talk about is the hibachi. I spent $45 at this restaurant tonight. And I'm very disappointed.. I ordered shrimp and scallop hibachi, and I have never in my 58 years on this earth ordered hibachi and it came smothered in a brown "sauce". Every time I have ordered hibachi, at many different restaurants, it's always the same . Fried rice, vegetables and the meat of your choice. Not smothered in a sauce. The sauce totally took away the taste from the seafood. Because yes, I did taste it. For me it was not very tasty at all. Definitely not what I expected. Oh, the fried rice.... This isn't fried rice. I did call back up there and the lady was very very nice but I told her this is something I've never had before it's not your typical hibachi. She said this is how they cook hibachi all the time and it is teriyaki sauce on it. But my thing is it's not teriyaki sauce just on it, it's smothered, look at the picture. And why would you put teriyaki sauce on shrimp and scallops? Man. I did tell her I wouldn't be returning. She was nice but I don't have money to throw away.

This place is a hidden gem! I'm always craving sushi, and I haven't been to Tokyo Sushi in years. The parking is super convenient, and it is located in a little strip mall. The interior is smaller than I remembered, but it was pretty busy for a Sunday night. There were only a few workers due to it being a Holiday weekend, but the service was still exceptional! The business owners were both working - one as a server, the other as the sushi chef. We started out with a house salad, edamame, and pepper tuna tataki. The pepper tuna taki wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it was still good. My mom ordered a seafood udon. The broth was very clean, it wasn't too flavorful but I like that. I ordered the sashimi dinner (16 pcs) and the fish tasted extremely fresh. I will definitely be back to try more of their dishes!

A favorite spot! My kids and I come here all the time and always have a wonderful meal. The woman that works there (maybe the owner?) is always SO sweet to my kids! We love getting the ikura (salmon eggs) sushi, but always order the live scallop and uni if they have it. My kids love the bento boxes, shrimp tempura, California rolls, miso soup and shrimp fried rice.

Live scallop, freshest fish, amazing sushi! i eat alot of sushi, Tokyo Sushi is the best in Richmond area - family owned and staffed, they always greet us after a hard day, feels very homey. wide selection of typical American sushi, with seasonal specialties (like the live scallop, eel and uni for us who want more), love this place and thankful to have them in Glen Allen.

Very rarely will I write such a praising review but this location deserves it. Let's start with the staff. They all seemed super professional and friendly. There was one man behind the counter preparing the food and one woman on the floor serving. She handled it like a champ! The room was almost full and we didn't have to wait for anything. Despite the smaller staff the food came out super quick. The food... My only complaint was that I felt the menu was a little large and confusing. Other than that everything tasted so fresh -especially for sushi- and delicious. Don't sleep on the place. The ambiance is soothing and fun and everything was perfect. So why not give a try.

Best example of Japanese food the ramen + sushi is the best I've had. The bento box is massive.

If you know, you know. And if you don't know yet, let me be the one to introduce you…read more O!nigiri is one of those places that feels like a little secret, tucked right next to Lotte Plaza Market, which is honestly the perfect location. I've made it my personal rule to stop here before I grocery shop, because walking into Lotte on an empty stomach is a financial decision I can no longer afford to make. I got the salmon, tuna, and sukiyaki, and every single one was exactly what a good onigiri should be: generously filled, perfectly textured rice that holds together just right without feeling like a compressed brick, and flavors that are clean and satisfying without trying too hard. It sounds simple because it is simple. That's the whole point, and that's exactly why it's so hard to do well. The owners are warm and genuinely friendly in a way that feels real, not rehearsed. The interior is small and charming, lined with anime figures and collectibles that give it this cozy, personal energy, like eating in someone's lovingly curated living room. Seating is limited, but I usually take mine to go anyway, eating it in the parking lot like a man who has zero regrets. Here's the thing though. O!nigiri used to have a spot in Carytown years ago, and when they closed, I took it harder than I'd like to admit. Something about losing a place that does something specific incredibly well hits different. So when I found out they were back, I felt genuinely victorious. Don't sleep on this place. It's a small, perfect thing in a city that deserves more of them.
