This is hands down one of my favorite sushi spots, and I come here regularly -- not just for the food, but for the experience. First, I have to shout out Carrie, my absolute favorite waiter. He is truly one of a kind. His personality is amazing, he's incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely cares about both customers and staff. He's always doing thoughtful things -- even giving little gifts to coworkers and guests -- which says so much about the kind of person he is. Every visit is better because of him. That said, every single staff member here is wonderful. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Even when the restaurant is super busy and packed, it somehow never feels chaotic or rushed -- which I really appreciate. The seating is another huge plus. The tables are large, the booths are super comfortable, and most of the seating options are booths (which I personally love). There's also a full bar, and the drinks are really good. The food? Always fresh and made to order. The all-you-can-eat deal is amazing and absolutely worth it. Some of my favorites: * Imperial rolls * Dragon roll * Pork gyoza * Cheesy wontons * Fried rice And this might sound silly -- but above all else -- their chicken nuggets are UNMATCHED. Truly. I don't know what they do to them, but they're perfect every time. Another thing I really love is that they never rush you. You can take your time, enjoy conversation, and eat at your own pace. As a slower eater, I appreciate being able to order food gradually so everything still comes out hot and fresh. Lastly, the bathrooms are large and spacious, and I really appreciate that the handicap stall includes a changing table -- that extra thoughtfulness doesn't go unnoticed. Overall, this place consistently delivers amazing food, incredible service, and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend -- especially if you get the chance to be served by Carrie!

We were pleasantly surprised by how great Yoshi Sushi was. We usually have lower expectations for AYCE restaurants but all the food we had was delicious. The service was fast and accommodating. AYCE is $20 Mon-Fri from 11-3, otherwise it's $28. There are some items that aren't included in the AYCE and are noted on the menu. They have purple rice available by request, which they say is a crossbreed rice considered to be a superfood due to its higher nutrient content and digestibility. I liked the texture and preferred it over white rice. Their rolls were a little heavy on the rice. We tried a few teriyaki dishes and were able to ask for just the protein without the side of rice. My favorites were the scallion pancake (comes with curry sauce), chicken/beef teriyaki (very tender), dinosaur roll, sesame balls, and the red bean ice cream.

Went to yoshi sushi with my bf on a Wednesday night and it wasn't too busy. We did the all you can eat option which was around 27.99 each. The sushi was okay - not bad but also nothing to brag home about. We also ordered the pork gyoza which was very good The spring rolls were doughy and not a great crunchy consistency so that was disappointing. Pad Thai was ok My bf got the yellow fin jalapeño was the best in his opinion. He loved it. Service was fast and our waiter was very kind.

Always a great choice, all you can eat and great sized portions. Great service and plenty of seating! If you enjoy sushi, definitely give them a try.

Move over Sushi King, there's a new all-you-can-eat sushi in town! haha. I met up with one of my friends here one afternoon when they first opened up. Plenty of space and were served pretty quickly. The sushi that I've picked turned out amazing! I sadly had to leave behind the rice because it def gets you filled up! Interior is beautiful and we were taken care of. I def recommend and will be coming back for all you can eat!

Came here for the all you can eat($26pp). I got the RockNRoll, Fire In The Hole, Jurassic, RVA, Red Dragon, and Mamba Out roll. Most of the Sushi was really good I personally liked fire in the hole and RVA. I didn't like red dragon or mamba out. Service was very average at best, and can be a lot slower depending how crowded it is. They have a lot of items to try and for the price, there is good value and variety of things to have. I would definitely come back again! Food(50%): 7.6 Staff/service(25%): 6.0 Value(25%): 8.0 Overall: 7.3/10

Yoshi Sushi is an AYCE sushi and hibachi. Their lunch deal is $18.99 on weekdays and $25.99 for weekends or holidays. It's a very lovely interior with beautiful designs. It is very clean, and spacious. I was surprised there wasn't more customers. I made a reservation for lunch but that isn't necessary. It's an order a la carte for AYCE, so it's made fresh to order. I loved a lot of the appetizers, like the crab salad, seaweed salad, wonton with imitation crab meat, salmon. The edamame was a bit saltier, and the calamari was very crispy but ok. The sushi was good, I mainly order and eat on salmon, tuna and eel. It was very good! The hibachi is also so good!! They make their beef medium. It's very tasty and tender with a lot of garlic. The veggies are also made perfectly and so juicy. The beef fried rice has a good wok taste. You can just order the beef without anything else too!! The sushi was so good but overall, I give 4/5 stars for the slow service. We arrived around noon, and there weren't many customers during lunch yet it took the servers a very looong time to get us even just waters, or to bring us small plates, dipping sauce cups, extra chopsticks, etc. It also took a while before the food came out, but once it did, it was all at once. Yoshi Sushi is def my go to sushi place in RVA! I'll be back again!!!

Extremely impressed with this AYCE sushi restaurant. We had an amazing server, I wish I remembered his name. He was so attentive and friendly. We ordered appetizers and a round of sushi all which came out very quickly. The amount of fish on the rolls blew mind compared to other AYCE sushi restaurants. Especially the hand rolls. My partner has an avocado allergy and they accommodated two rolls without the avocado which we really appreciated. The tempura shrimp inside the Jurassic roll was really tasty! We were also very impressed with the quality of the fish used in all of the rolls. We will definitely be coming back when we're craving sushi!

We started off with some fried tofu (not pictured) and followed up with two specialty rolls. For two people, this was plenty to fill us up. The Monster roll is pretty filling with its size, tuna, and a piece of tempura. The roll on the left (forgot the name), was a nice balance to the heavier Monster roll. I thoroughly enjoyed the specialty rolls! Service was great! We were running behind our reservation time and I called to let them know. We still got our table when we arrived! They told us about the happy hour and we got some drinks and an appetizer. Water was always refilled. Ambiance is low key. Great for catching up with friends and families. Bathrooms had cool, neon lighting like you're at the club. Would definitely come back (which I did)!

Yume Roll and Jeff roll on bogo. They were actually a bit smaller than I expected. I ate all 4 rolls in one sitting. Some of the roll pieces were kind of thin but it was worth it with the bogo deal. Still pretty good flavor. I liked the Jeff roll with tuna, it seemed like a pretty thin topping and had a nice little kick from the jalapeño. The Yume roll had good flavor but it felt like the filling with the crunch was a lot of the filling which made it a little bland, nice crunch and simple flavors.

I've made it my personal rule to stop here before I grocery shop, because walking into Lotte on an empty stomach is a financial decision I can no longer afford to make. I got the salmon, tuna, and sukiyaki, and every single one was exactly what a good onigiri should be: generously filled, perfectly textured rice that holds together just right without feeling like a compressed brick, and flavors that are clean and satisfying without trying too hard. It sounds simple because it is simple. That's the whole point, and that's exactly why it's so hard to do well. The owners are warm and genuinely friendly in a way that feels real, not rehearsed. The interior is small and charming, lined with anime figures and collectibles that give it this cozy, personal energy, like eating in someone's lovingly curated living room. Seating is limited, but I usually take mine to go anyway, eating it in the parking lot like a man who has zero regrets. Here's the thing though. O!nigiri used to have a spot in Carytown years ago, and when they closed, I took it harder than I'd like to admit. Something about losing a place that does something specific incredibly well hits different. So when I found out they were back, I felt genuinely victorious. Don't sleep on this place. It's a small, perfect thing in a city that deserves more of them.
