    Tonkatsu ramen spicy
    Pam W.

This is just fast food to me. I bet very little of the food is truly made in house. My husband and I wanted to get takeout but wanted to try something new to us. I've been seeing Ginza Soot but haven't tried it. My husband wanted ramen (we usually go to Takara) and we saw Ginza had ramen on the menu so we decided to try it. We ordered takeout: -Korean wings half regular and 1/2 spicy. They were just okay. Better Korean wings are available around town so I'd skip these next time. - Beef gyoza- reminded me of the frozen ones I buy from Lotte or Trader Joe's. They were okay but I didn't get the 'made in house' vibe from these. I've had better. Wouldn't order them again. - Pork tonkatsu ramen spicy. Granted it was takeout, but the package seems like it was assembled and stored in the fridge until someone ordered. The broth had to be heated up. It wasn't great. Wouldn't order it again. - general Tao's chicken spicy. This was way too sweet and not a hint of spiciness. The broccoli was overcooked. This is on par will mall Chinese food. Actually I've had better general Tso's at the mall kiosk. I bet the drinks and teas are good. For food, this one is not for me. This goes in the once and done column for me.

I found this place by chance and decided to try it. When you enter, you can order at the counter or at one of their kiosks which conveniently takes your card too. Then, you sit down and wait for them to take the food to your table. The place was very clean and the cashier was very nice. We decided to order an appetizer called Takoyaki Ball. It comes with 6. This is an acquired taste, but not bad at all.It has a strong fishy smell. Also, we ordered a poke bowl with 2 protein choices, another poke bowl with 3 protein choices. You can pick from a variety of ingredients and everything looked fresh. We also had the General Tso chicken with broccoli and white rice. Let me tell you, it was VERY HOT. Not spicy hot, like blow on your food as you eat hot, so be careful. It was very flavorful though and I took some leftovers and reheated in the air fryer just fine. My husband tried a watermelon drink with a clear ball at the top that made for an interesting conversation. No, he didn't swallow it. Definitely try this place. It had many other things on the menu.

Ramen Noodle - Tonkotsu, Pork, Extra Green Onion, & Extra Spicy Pork Chashu Bowl
    Bethany W.

The portion sizes were big enough and the food was not bad! The tonkotsu ramen wasn't anything special, but it did the job. The chashu rice bowl though....I'd get that again. The chashu was tender and fatty, and the rice was cooked perfectly. Everything included in the rice bowl just made up the perfect meal. We had to wait a while for our food (seemed like only 1 or 2 people were working). And the inside has cute decor, but it looks a little empty and cold because of how big the space is. Overall, the food here is pretty solid if you're looking for a chill Japanese spot.

Saw some reviews about @ginzaspot.henrico and decided to give them a try! The atmosphere was a laid back vibe, with cute decor and very inviting! Customer service was top tier: very pleasant and bought our to go order to the table we sat at while waiting. Food: wings were a good size and tasty, we ordered half and half (the spicy soy garlic is spicy), should have asked to fry them crisp but still good 3.9/5. Fried pork dumplings were a bit tough but ok, the sauce bought the flavor 3.2/5. The chicken lomein was probably our least favorite, plenty of chicken and veggies but the noodles for me were too soft and flavor was just ok. I did add the sauce from the dumplings to add more flavor, a great portion size, 2.5/5. Mimi ordered the Grape Tea and it was good (didn't give the traditional artificial grape flavor) very refreshing 4.5/5. Overall rating is 3.5/5 (Yelp let us add half stars, lol). If in the area give them a try and tell us what you think!

The atmosphere inside is a little dull and awkward. But the self checkout/service is quite quick so it's a bonus to getting good, warm food on a time crunch ! The food was actually really good and tasty! The boba was also amazing !! I love a good spot for boba and nice staff !

Went here on a dreary Monday and ate in. It was pretty empty aside from one other person and they left right as my food arrived. They a build-your-own set up for the poke bowls, as well as the ramen and a decent list of appetizers. I got the spicy soy wings, Tonkatsu base ramen w/ pork chashu and a signature brown sugar boba with the milk cap. The wings blew me away, the absolute start of the show. So crispy and the flavor was on point. I'd get them again and again. I also loved my drink. The boba was sooo soft and bouncy. It was very very sweet though, so beware if that's not your thing. The ramen was just okay to me. The broth was thick and rich, but wasn't my favorite Tonkatsu I've tried. The pork tasted good, but was thinner than I imagined, as were the noodles. They serve you in plastic bowls with plastic utensils, which I've never encountered at a ramen spot, unless I ordered to go. The egg was AMAZING. I'd order an extra one next time. The thing I didn't like about this restaurant is that it stinks. I noticed it a little bit when I walked in and ignored it thinking it may have just been all the food smells mixing. But when I ventured further back to the restroom, I was met with even more stench. I don't know if it's coming out of the drains or the vents, but it smells like there's a serious plumbing issue! The bathroom was clean, but I quite literally was holding my breath as I washed my hands because it smelled so rank.

Single table in the middle of the restaurant

Greeted in the parking lot with a "Recently Opened" banner on their windows, I was immediately feeling optimistic! With reviews poking above 4.0/5.0, the expectations were feeling high. Walking in, it's a pretty open space, it looks like they have not decided the exact layout they want. Booths line the walls with one longer table (seating 8) smack in the middle. I can't imagine anyone would sit there on purpose since you're right in the middle of the restaurant. Service options are self-serving Kiosk and ordering at a counter. There was one woman working the counter who greeted everyone with a smile and a ma'am/sir. For food, I ordered the ramen with a Tonkotsu base, Pork protein, and an Extra Egg. Totaling $15.95 before 10% tax (total: $17.54) Ramen Components: =============== Broth - Super creamy and rich in flavor Noodles - Thin and al dente, not a lot of room to absorb the broth but no real complaints here Pork - (3 round cuts) pretty chewy and taste like they have been grilled rather than slow-cooked, no real soy flavor but more of just your standard meaty flavor Egg - (3 halves) Very soft, nice creamy yolk with a sweet soy flavor. Would LOVE if the pork had a similar texture and flavor Overall, a great experience with very friendly staff and a nice homemade-tasting bowl of ramen. Perfect for a cold December day. I would love to see them invest in some actual bowls and chopsticks/soup spoons instead of going with fully-plastic options as well as do something with the middle of their restaurant outside of just the 1 long table.

This is such a cute spot tucked away in Short Pump! The team is friendly and informative and the food is solid. I wasn't sure what to get, but I knew I wanted ramen so I asked the person behind the desk what her favorite was. I got the tonkotsu (pork broth) based on her recommendation with tofu as the protein. Their to go container is amazing and it prevents all the ingredients from getting mushy during the ride home. There were also detailed reheating instructions. Will definitely be back!

Cute restaurant for ramen, poke and boba teas. I was craving for ramen while I shopped at Short Pump Center. Pulled out Yelp app and saw Ginza Spot. Looks like a new place and pretty good reviews. My friend and I ordered ramen. He had tonkatsu base with beef and onion. I had a miso base with chicken. They both tasted good. The soft-boiled egg was yummy. Vegetables are fresh. Soup was hearty. No wonder everyone praised about it. We also ordered a 2-item poké bowl with everything on it and wasabi sauce. It wasn't pungent like wasabi at sushi restaurants. It was delightful and perfect for salmon poké. Fish was fresh. Everything was nice. Then, the orange interior drew our attention. So cute. I didn't have a lot of time to make social media posts because I have a flight to catch. If I'm in the area, I certainly will stop by again.

Simple delicious Japanese cuisine. Plenty of tables for in person dining and on this occasion I took mine "To Go." If you're in Short Pump and you like freshly prepared Japanese food check them out!

    2 Proteins Poke Bowl

As someone from Hawaii, I am always craving a good poke bowl and this place left a great impression on me! I got the 2 Proteins Poke Bowl with sushi rice, salmon, spicy tuna, cucumbers, green onion, sriracha mayo, and nori sesame. For $15 in total, they put a lot of fish and it's well worth it! The salmon was fresh with big chunks, and the spicy tuna was what you would typically see in a spicy tuna roll (smashed/tinier pieces as compared to big chunks). They have more ingredients that you can choose from as well. I got my bowl to go and the service was really quick! Within a few minutes, they came up to me to give me my food and it also came with a cute tote bag! The building is spacious with a lot of options for seating. I would definitely come back again! (:

I got a Ramen with a tonkatsu base and pork. It's was very savoriness. The pork was good. Egg was great. It was made to order and was done quite quickly. The atmosphere was very nice, there were some cool wall art and decoration. This costed ~$14 which seems on par to other places. Overall an easy place to get quick takeout ramen, poke, or boba. I would come back again! 7.4/10

Seems to be a mom and pop Asian fusion fast casual spot. They have poke, ramen, rice bowls, Korean fried chicken, boba tea, and other apps and desserts so there should be something for everyone. You can order at the counter or the tablets. The tablet was easier since it is 'build your own' type of ordering and there are so many options to choose from. Online ordering is also available. They have a ton of seating, making this is a good spot for large parties. They are generous with the fish in the poke bowls and they don't add too much rice. The soy garlic Korean fried chicken had good flavor and I appreciated the extra sauce at the bottom of the container. It also came with a few fried rice cakes, which was a nice surprise. The chashu pork buns were slightly too saucy for me as it masked the pork. All the boba teas we got were great.

The accoutrement that came with it was "ok" not as fresh as I'd like, but still worked for my needs. But the broth was so very tasty! The chicken was decent as well. Also, their hoisin sauce was a cheap offbrand and fish sauce/vinegar dipping sauce was way too sweet. They were helpful in explaining to me how to modify a dish and they also gave great recommendations, as well as kept up with my liking of the food and experience while I was there. I ordered their red oil wontons and their cumin lamb noodles, but I subbed the lamb for beef. This came out before the wontons and it looked and smelled great! The beef was very tender, so were the amazing noodles! The spices were so tasty and offered a decent kick, but not too hot. I love stir-fried onions in dishes like this and these were so good that I tried to enjoy one piece with each bite of noodle and beef. The red oil wontons were incredible! The flavor of the oil was perfect! Exactly what it should be and it offered a very nice kick of heat too! This was one of the best wontons I've had in a long time! I'd definitely like to go back and try their soup dumplings. Overall this was a great experience into non-American Chinese food, one that everyone who enjoys American Chinese food should try!

This place is consistent and clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is dangerously good. As many have said, you have to know what you're doing in order to make the most of this experience, and it IS an experience. You'll choose a soup base (all of them are good) which the waiters will bring and heat on your table. Then you'll hit the buffet and grab anything you want to add to your soup (they have all sorts of noodles, veggies, seafood and more). You'll also grab any meats you want to cook on your table's little grill. What I especially love is that the KBBQ and hot pot are all one flat rate, you don't have to order anything but your soup base and any drinks. I recommend getting a big plate for all of your soup add ons, and a small plate for your raw meats. They'll give you tongs to cook the meat and a giant pair of scissors to cut everything (wait to cut the meat until it's cooked). Apologies for the novel above, but maybe it will help someone.
