I just ordered Takeaway and it was ready upon arrival. Be careful using any of the apps listed to order the food because they will charge a lot more. If you're doing pick up then calling the restaurant directly we only tried two dishes, but they were good and good portion sizes on the pho. We wish there was more more herbs included in the Takeaway order, but we enjoyed the taste when you do take away. There's only one size choice on the soup.

Oh man, I was excited for a new Viet spot in Midlothian but this one was SO DISAPPOINTING. So many things went wrong during our visit. To start, it's super cute on the inside but that's about it. The staff seems really confused, unorganized and just over all, all over the place. They were always very polite though and that's why I remained patient. I order pho which has multiple different types of meat. When it came out, it only had one strange looking meat in it. Low quality meat. The broth was bland, and greasy. Just gross. Then the staff kept delivering food we never ordered. I returned my pho as it wasn't what I ordered. They took it back and charged it to my bill anyway.. My partner got the vermicelli and honestly, that was good. Vegetables were fresh. Meat had good flavor. It was good. We got the bahni as well, which was okay. We waited so long for my new order of pho to come out. Multiple people who came after us, got their food, ate and left. I still never got my pho. Still never got my bubble tea. We finally gave up and said we were going to leave. They brought our bill and they charged me twice for pho, bubble tea, banh mi and the vermicelli. Mind you, my partner was the only one that ordered and actually received his food. I never did. The vermicelli was the only thing we ate. My partner told them that I had returned the pho and never actually received the other. They stated that I can only get a 20% discount off the bill... They brought us a new bill and only $4 came off... mind you, I NEVER GOT THE PHO or the smoothie. I asked for an itemized bill after my partner paid cause the math didn't make sense. All of a sudden, our waiter disappears for another 25-30 minutes. We could see him purposely trying to avoid us. We finally got a "manager" explained the situation and he proceeded to tell us that he couldn't do a refund because the iPad doesn't allow refunds.... It was the most uncomfortable/ sketchy situation. Inappropriate behavior and sketchy business practices. My partner had to show him how to do a refund on the iPad. Mind you, my partner has never worked food service before. Never seen this iPad for payments before and it was an easy return. The "manager" pretended not to know how to do a simple refund... I don't want to feel scammed when looking for a peaceful dining experience. It was the most uncomfortable situation I have ever experienced.

I've been here twice with my family. The interior was pretty. Our server, David, was great. We loved the pho and bun bo hue. The broth was so good. Will definitely return.

Big Banh Mi. Foot long. $9.95 Good Pho. Good service. They do really good. It is really pretty inside too. Probably one of the prettiest Vietnamese restaurant in RVA.

It's very pretty inside. Good location. Wish they had Vietnamese desserts. The food is so good. Servers are really nice. -@TheCopyistCat

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. I ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer and would not get it again because the shrimp was overcooked and there was not enough meat (pork) in the spring rolls. Another thing about their appetizer menu is that it has fries, calamari, and onion rings which is not typical of a Vietnamese restaurant so that threw me off a little bit. The entree was pretty good - I got the sizzling plate with baguette which was flavorful. The restaurant was well decorated but the service is beyond subpar since when we first walked in the waitress spilled the tray of water all over the table and other staff had to come and assist. Lastly, I would say that time in which food comes out is not great. It seems they do food by table and not based on whether you got an appetizer so one table next to me finished their meal when we got to our appetizer even though we were behind the table my a few minutes. Overall, not sure how to feel.

I've tasted many of the Pho spots in the greater Richmond area and I'd list this place on my top 3 list. We've had 2 pho, number 17 and 18 (eye round steak brisket and eye round steak) I'd recommend this spot. Staff were friendly, smiling and fast. Food tasted good, on point aroma and what I'd want from an eye round steak brisket pho. Give them a shot.

I'm very surprised to see such low ratings on here. The restaurant aesthetic, cleanliness, service, & food are all an easy 5 stars for me & I will be coming back & will be recommending Viet Holic to friends/family who are looking for a great place to dine in. My fiancé & I were instantly greeted & seated. Our server was very attentive, helpful, kind, & prompt. Our food came so quick & was so delicious. The entire restaurant was SO clean, and every table was thoughtfully set up with everything you may need. There was so much on the menu that I wanted to try, so I will be back to eventually try everything!

I love the environment! The staff is so friendly and talkative, they made sure my but free request was heard and respected and they took extra precautions with my food! The pho was literally topped to the top and so good! My favorite are there boba selection, so many options and it's actually so good!!! Even if I'm not hungry I'd come by just to get some boba and coffee!!

We were surprised by the size of the restaurant when we walked in. It seems smaller from the outside; not that it was huge, just deceiving. It reminded me of a homey Jason's Deli (IYKYK). The woman at the counter was helpful and kind. We had a few questions about some items on the menu, and she asked the kitchen staff anything that she didn't know offhand. We decided on the fried cauliflower for an appetizer; it was monstrously huge, and much more flavorful than I expected. The spices and textures on the plate added a lot to the dish's overall essence. I ordered the Rachel for an entree, and my partner ordered the Sharona. I subbed the chips for a side salad. The salad was tangy or tart, almost bitter. I didn't mind; I thought it was quite good. It is a lot of acidity if you are not expecting it. The Rachel was fantastic, except that the coleslaw had some onion bits mixed in. We are not onion fans in this household. Ha The Sharona would have been a better choice, as I much prefer pickles to oniony coleslaw. My partner said she really liked hers. We had half a sandwich each for leftovers the next day, and shared the leftover chips, since I finished off my salad the night before. The sandwiches heated up exquisitely in the oven at 325°F for 15 minutes. I felt that Susie's is a definite hidden gem, and I can recommend it to anyone who likes a well-made sandwich. I will be back to sample more of the menu and report back my findings at a future date.

No signage, not detailed on the menu, just an ambush once you've placed your order. It's a bs fee to begin with, but concealing it until the last minute is unethical. I'm guessing it will catch up with y'all as these sorts of sketchy business practices often do.

If they aren't part of the decor, it was a treat nonetheless. We stepped inside from the rain with a parking spot very near the door. I snapped a pic on the way in to capture it's essence. We risked another walk-in with no reservations, and we snagged two prime end seats on the communal table. There were two open seats at the bar as well; might come in handy some other rainy Thursday night. The server, Murphy M., judging by the receipt, who helped my partner and I with our order, was a gracious host and incredibly well-practiced. It was a master class in serving, made effortless by him. He could not have been more accommodating, as we saw him appear inevitably at the exact right moments. Our server offered us bread and oil before the appetizer. The bread here is made fresh daily. It was so soft, I could not tell the difference from store bought. The food was exquisitely well prepared, the chefs and kitchen staff are immensely skilled. The appetizer was presented to us within a relatively short amount of time. We had time for a short discussion before the it arrived. The Tiropita was described as "four pieces of heaven." Accurate. The phyllo was thin and crisp, and the feta was creamy and delicious. I was careful not to bite too hard and ruin my pants. I had the Kotopoulo, which is a feta-brined oven-baked chicken with lemon and herbs served with lemon potatoes. The dish was cooked to perfection. The cooked potatoes were exactly as I like them, soft yet held their shape. It was an excellent meal, if a bit unwieldy (it's like half a rotisserie chicken, basically). My partner had the Hilopites, an egg noodle dish with giant beans, pine nuts, kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, and feta, in a creamy, savory sauce that I couldn't begin to describe with mere words. The meals were both stunning, made unclear by my disastrous photography. All that being said, I did not really enjoy my meal as I was expecting. Maybe it's me, maybe it's today, or maybe the flavors simply weren't what I am accustomed to with the dozens of Greek restaurants from my past. I'm uncertain, and that's okay sometimes. Either way, it was a fantastic experience, and I will dine here again.
