Wow--this meal was amazing! I'm visiting the area for a conference and staying at the Hilton. Pho 1 Grill was just a short walk away and I was pretty hungry after a full day so I placed an order online and headed right over. My food was ready for me as soon as I arrived and they made my taro bubble tea smoothie when I got there. I briefly chatted with one of the very friendly employees while my smoothie was being made. When I got back I dug into my meal. The shrimp goi cuon (summer rolls) were perfect and I love that the online ordering let me easily sub for fish sauce. I also ordered the vermicelli noodles with chicken and that seriously hit the spot! The chicken was marinated and grilled perfectly, the veggies were super fresh, and it was just the right portion. My bubble tea smoothie was great too. Highly recomend for visitors to the area.

Honeydew Bubble Tea Smoothie, Vietnamese Iced Coffee

We went on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant wasn't too busy. We started with a Vietnamese iced coffee and honeydew bubble tea smoothie. Both were good although the bubbles didn't seem fresh. We also got an order of pork cha gio which were fried perfectly. The roll size is a bit inconsistent as you can see in the photo. We both got an order of pho tai. The broth was great and was served super hot. Overall the food and drinks were pretty good. The staff accommodated all our requests. We would go back if we're ever craving pho while we're in Short Pump.

What can I say, years later and this is still a neighborhood spot. Many of the same employees and always consistent food. Prices have increased over the years and service is never the primary feature here, but the pho is delicious, as well as some of their rice dishes. When I think of pho this is easily in my top three spots to go. Try it out and you won't be disappointed.

The location is convenient as it's in a large shopping center. There is plenty of parking. The place is pretty spacious but a little dark. I came here for dinner and there were a few tables so service was pretty fast. C2. Broken Rice Grilled Pork - the broken rice was mushy sadly. The pork was flavorful but it didn't have the char flavor from the grill. The cucumbers and carrots were fresh.

I got the combination pho. My wife got the grill pork vermicelli. We also got the shrimp summer rolls as appetizer. The summer rolls is different than others in that it is just only shrimp. Usually there are some other meat along with shrimp. The pho tasted good but a bit too sweet for me and also looking for a bit more meat. The grill pork for the vermicelli is really tender. One of the best grill pork I've eaten. Overall the food tasted authentic and the service was excellent. I would say it was a bit overpriced.

I did a Yelp search and found this gem close to where I was located. My daughter is not a Pho fan but tagged along with me. I got the Pho with brisket and round steak and order her two fried rolls. She loved her rolls. After I put the razzle dazzle on my Pho, she decided to taste it. Now who's a fan...SHE IS!!! Service was on point, as we were checked on several times. I love how roomy the restaurant is and noticed as we were leaving how busy it had gotten in the time we were there (I was so focused on my food that I didn't notice the dinner crowd coming in). I will definitely be returning!!!

BEST pho in richmond!! ive tried a good number of places, but this one is by far the best in terms of quality, taste, flavor, and variety. the inside is clean and nice. service was good. would 100% recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. I have a favorite pho place in Richmond so I was a tad hesitant to go out of my comfort zone and "cheat" on my favorite, but Pho 1 Grill did a pretty decent job. We started with the pork soft rolls, which I thought were going to be more like a bao bun but instead were spring roll-esque with a small piece of pork, rice noodles, and lettuce, with a side of peanut dipping sauce. The pork was tough and lacking flavor but the dish overall was good, especially dipped in the peanut sauce. The pho I ordered was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the meat was cooked a bit too long but the overall flavor was tasty. They had the traditional toppings including bean sprouts, jalapeños, and basil. My husband got the banh mi sandwich which was the favorite of the night. The roll was a bit hard but the fillings were delicious. The pickled carrots were perfectly crisp and the pork was juicy, tender, and flavorful. And for $9 it was worth it! The service was okay, not anything to write home about, although we did have to wait quite a while for the check after we had finished eating. It started out very quiet but as it got later it got more and more boisterous. My only real complaint is that we were seated I guess on the wall connected with the kitchen, and the entire second half of our dinner was bombarded with banging and crashing sounds that shook the wall. Overall this place was pretty nice and the prices were delightful. I'd say we would definitely visit again.

The restaurant has a cozy and casual atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff. The menu offers a wide range of Vietnamese dishes, including pho, banh mi, and various rice dishes. Another dish worth trying at Pho 1 Grill is the banh mi. The baguette is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with savory meat, fresh vegetables, and herbs. The sandwich is not too heavy, making it a great option for a quick lunch or snack. The noodles were also really good, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of chewiness. If you're a fan of pork chop, you definitely need to try the one It's seasoned to perfection and has a nice char on the outside while remaining juicy and tender on the inside. The dish comes with a side of rice and vegetables, making it a satisfying and complete meal. I highly recommend giving it a try

This popular restaurant claims to be "Richmond's top rated Vietnamese restaurant," and based upon our first visit there we certainly cannot dispute this claim. For lunch we started with then Crispy Shrimp "Spring Roll" (K6) and it was very nice. For our main course I had the Banh Mi (S8) and my wife had the Pho (P1). We thoroughly enjoyed the meal though not really the very best Vietnamese food we've had. This is a very good restaurant and the ambiance and service were just right. The banh mi is the best i've had in Richmond so far, mostly because that bread is top tier and the pork is the lemongrass char grilled kind.

And it's not dumbed down American Chinese at all. My husband and I both work from home so we get to go have lunch at area restaurants from time to time. We have our regular places and we order Peter Chang's for takeout sometimes, but when we were deciding where to eat and knowing we were short on time, I suggested Peter Chang. For our meal we ordered dumplings, which were amazing. The dipping sauce was to die for...I need to research it and try to make it. We also got the scallion pancake, which came with a curry dipping sauce. Also very good. For lunch there is a menu that is typical of Chinese restaurants where you get a choice of soup (I chose hot and sour) and rice (I chose white rice). For my main I selected hot and numbing chicken from the lunch menu. My husband got three pepper steak. We also got jasmine tea, although if you prefer an adult beverage they have a bar. The food was excellent, service was attentive but not overbearing. It was a great meal and we both have lots of leftovers. The restaurant can be a bit noisy because it's just a big open room, but it's okay. The table next to use was loud talkers with no inside voice, so I got to hear all about their trip to Charlottesville for a concert. Sounds like they had a good time. I wish people were more self-aware about the volume of their voices in public but maybe his ears were wrecked from the concert. P.S. Peter Chang was the chef to a Chinese dignitary like an ambassador so he's the real deal.

It had too much soy sauce and you couldn't taste anything else. The white rice was dry and undercooked. I feel like this is an utter travesty. I was at least expecting good rice. The golden mountain had great flavor but I think it was a mistake to eat it at home. It was mushy by the time we ate it. You can taste the spite in general Tso's chicken. It's like they don't want you to order it. The flavor is just sweet without any complexity. I've had better flavored general Tso sauce from grocery store brands. It was also mushy by the time we ate it. I would never order this again from them.

I am so glad my fiancé talked me into staying because this place absolutely knocked me off my feet. -I highly recommend the Nuclear Hawaiian and the Hello Kitty!!!! When we mentioned we weren't sure about the food, the bartenders jumped right in with recommendations and suggested the calamari and crab rangoon and they were spot on! When the food arrived, everything was perfectly cooked. The calamari was tender with a great texture, and the crab rangoon was crisp with amazing flavor. I went from I am not hungry to I could eat multiple plates of the same thing. We ended up staying for hours watching college football and mingling with some of the regulars. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and we genuinely had such fun conversation with people around us. We even heard from several folks that this place really comes alive during karaoke nights. At one point an older heavyset lady who we later found out was one of the cooks came out to chat with people. She was checking in to make sure everyone liked their food and catching up with the regulars like family. it really showed how much the staff cares about the people that walk through the door.
