I took my daughter here for the first time and she's now a fan also!! They were kinda busy but service was still pretty fast. I got the Bun Bo Hue and she just got an appetizer because my bowl was so big. Even though we shared my bowl, I still left with an almost full to go container full!!! It was so delicious and meaty! Had a delicious and comforting meal here! The menu is extensive with plenty of vegetarian options, and the portion sizes were generous. Most entrées also come with a side of soup. I especially enjoyed the Mì Xào Giòn Đồ Biển, featuring crispy pan-fried noodles topped with seafood and vegetables. It was light, flavorful, and had a great balance of seafood and veggies. I also ordered the Cơm Đậu Hũ Chiên Giòn, which comes with crispy fried tofu over rice. I wasn't expecting the tofu to be marinated, but it added a delicious savory flavor that I really enjoyed. I wont be able to rate the facility based on their foodd their service is too slow for me to wait for them to even seat me. Walked in.. saw 1 server/host. Very slow. We waited. After about 5 minutes he walks over and instead of asking us first who was walking he somehow decides to ask another party who just walked in to seat them first. Okay understandable? I think Sat down.. waited over 5 minutes. No menu no nothing. Server walking around to other table to take their order. The facility is WAY to big to have only 1 old man serving and hosting at the same time. Especially on a weekend. Not worth the wait and once i saw there was literally 4 tables who just had menus on their tables waiting to order.. i knew i had to get out before i realize that i waited over 40minutes to order. We were greeted by a super kind and friendly woman who sat us immediately in a booth. Lots of tables were seated and many empty with dishes which was a sign for us that this place must be popular. I got pho dac biet($16) and it was served pretty quickly in about 7 minutes. Broth is on the savory/salty side which I like in my pho. The meat was pretty good and the staff are always friendly. All around a great Vietnamese restaurant! Stopped in at 3pm on a Saturday so after the lunch rush and before dinner. Seated right away and brought nice cold ice waters and menus. Food: Loved the crispy egg rolls, nice and large and good flavor. Fresh spring rolls with only shrimp were great, just wish they had a little bit more fresh herbs but that is just my personal preference. The peanut sauce that came with it was really tasty! Within walking distance from the Courtyard and not many non chain places to dine, this is a comfortable place with mediocre food. I couldn't figure out what the building was in it's prior life. Bbq maybe due to the number of wooden booths perhaps? My pho was ok , chicken broth was meh, not many noodles, typical fresh veggie and condiments provided. They were accommodating with adding the tofu for me though. Did not like that the chopsticks are not packaged either. Ordered a banh mi to go. Has to be the worst banh mi. In fact the bread was so soggy that I asked them to remake it. Inedible and so disappointing. I have a teenage daughter who finds all the Tik Tok trends and is quite the foodie! So when she mentioned wanting to try Pho I was all game! I asked around for everyone's favorite Pho in the area and decided to avoid all of those and find a hidden gem. Well.... Pho Que Huong is it! Parking was super easy and the lot was quiet. You walk into such beautiful cultural decor and was greeted by the sweetest older gentleman. He was the only one serving at the quiet lunch time hour. He bought over waters and the menus and asked if we had questions. He introduced all the sauces that was neatly placed on a lazy Susan on your table for easy access. I ordered the shrimp pho which only came in a large and my daughter had chicken pho and egg rolls. About 4 min later he was back with our food hot and fresh. Our Pho was accompanied by fresh cilantro, jalapeño and limes. My first time having Pho and the first bite was heavenly. Such a simple pleasure that you get to spice up and make your own at the table. The restaurant was clean, the service was amazing and the Pho was even better. They provided the best containers for you to take your food home that kept the broth fresh and sealed. I would go over and over! I can't wait until a cold day to grab some Pho from Pho Que Huong. This might be the best pho place in Richmond. It's my go to! Service is always quick, accurate and the food is delicious. Once you walk in you're quickly greeted and seated. It's the type of quick and casual atmosphere that makes your meal easy. Everything comes out so fast. It's a great atmosphere for solo dining or dinner with friends and family. The spring roll was very dense and bland, and it tasted like the oil they used was old, giving it a heavy, almost burnt flavor where most Vietnamese spring rolls I 've had elsewhere were light and tasty. The pork wasn't chunky like mini kabobs but we're the same thinly sliced meat you'd find in pho. Another disappointment. In the end the food was just okay. One of my favorite places for pho! It's doesn't get too busy and never really a wait so you can come in starving and bet on your food coming in quick! They also give you a hefty portion compared to other pho places. I always get a spring roll while I'm here too and it's delicious! We ordered takeout from Pho Que Huong because it is only a couple of minutes from Henrico Sports Center. The grilled pork Bánh Mì was fantastic. The grilled pork was tender and flavorful, and the bread was crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I forgot to take a picture of the Bánh Mì. WOW! If you're looking for incredible pho, this is the place for you. I decided to stop by Pho Que Huong after it placed #19 on best places to eat in Richmond. I was not disappointed. It's a very cute restaurant. Both the facade and interior are quite homey. I will say the server we had kept rushing us and was kinda short with us when we want to order just one large pho to share, however, the incredible food made up for this. We got the #8 pho chin and nam and the #51A hoanh thanh chien (wontons). The wontons had a great crunch. The pho was the main star here, absolutely delicious. The rich flavorful broth was the perfect remedy for a cold night. The meat was juicy and fatty, just the way I like it. And the noodles were just right (the noodles are my favorite part about pho). Me and my friend from Ashland were craving for something Asian after the Tropical Storm 16 passed. I pulled out Yelp app and searching for pho because soup noodles are perfect for rainy days. The closest pho restaurant was Pho Que Phuong at the corner of Brook Road (US Route 1) and Jeb Stuart Parkway. Instead of going down on I-95 in a dark rainy night, I took the local route from Washington Highway and turned into Brook Road. According to the restaurant employee, Pho Que Phuong took over a country BBQ place 6 years ago. This was why the wood planked wall throughout the restaurant and kept the "Modern Restroom" sign. Everything is kept to a down-to-earth atmosphere. Food was fantastic. I'm from Houston Asiatown. I want something close to home. So, I ordered Bun Bo Hue and it tasted authentic to my taste buds. My friend is allergic to shrimps. To avoid problem, he ordered Oxtail Pho. Because there is shrimp paste in Bun Bo Hue. Our appetizer was Grilled Pork Roll aka Goi Cun Thit Nuong. They were tightly wrapped and freshly made as the rice paper still moist. We also ordered fried rice to go for our midnight snack. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience. We visited pho que huong on a cold gloomy day and what we found was comfort in a bowl. I ordered skirt steak and beef meatballs while my husband ordered just skirt steak. Unfortunately, my meatballs were still cold in the center :/ but overall my pho was good. I would stick with the skirt steak! The service was great! Probably the most garlicky flavored BBH broth I've had and a lot of lemongrass as well. Not quite as red-dish or spicy as other BBH broths but I enjoyed it alot. The meat was plenty, just wish it had a few more chả lụa pieces, but the meat was super tender and fall off the bone. The banh mi bread was 9.5/10. Fluffy, warm, and enough crunch without being too brittle. The spring rolls were eh...passable. I knew I was in for a good meal when I saw the condiment tray (has fish sauce!) and not your basic Asian condiments. Service was real good, food came out quick. Went out here while in the area and decided on this location solely based on Yelp reviews. I have to admit, this is where Yelp can be extremely handy. I had no idea what was good in the area. Yelp proved to be correct all over again. The service - is awesome. They were extremely polite, conscientious, and eager to ensure we were served. I genuinely appreciated their care. It's something that has been lost in the service industry and this place still cares. The food is truly authentic. There are many different Pho places I've been to and this is about as close to authentic as I've tasted. Many other places have a different style that you can tell is not of the original style. I can say that when we were here, it was not busy at all and it was extremely clean, quiet, and peaceful. The bathrooms were crazy clean and is always a good sign of any establishment.
