    Shockoe Bottom Roll
    June T.

Wife and I happened to stroll in for dinner. Customer service was good. We ordered the soft shell crab pad Thai and the shockoe bottom roll. Pad Thai was pretty good, same goes with the soft shell crab. I wished the soft shell crab was stir fried in with the pad thai but it was still good. Shockoe bottom roll was pretty good as well, I destroyed majority of it. Pretty big portions for sushi pieces. Definitely looking forward to our return to get something different.

It's so hard for me to choose which location to visit but when I want sushi, I come to this one! The sushi's is freshly made and so good! It's not chewy like I've had at some places, it's almost perfect! Of course the food is amazing as usual, I got the drunken noodles with pork. And the margarita...... yessss!!!

I leave happy and with a full belly every time I come here. This place has held many great memories for me over the years and the service has mostly stayed the same - fast, friendly, and attentive. It's clean and cozy inside with plenty of space for smaller or larger groups. Definitely stop by if you can!

Dined in for a quick weeknight dinner and am very satisfied with the quality of the food and service. My order came out steaming hot and in a sizable portion considering the price. I came in at the tail end of happy hour so decided to indulge in a cocktail. The thai tea tini was a delicious dessert drink!

When walking in I was greeted by two people, the hostess and the man behind the bar. The man smiled and said hello but the hostess just started at my blankly and made me feel stupid for asking questions about the menu. Something in my gut told me to peak at the menu and leave but I unfortunately went against it. I would recommend other Thai spots before this one. I was craving some Thai but I just didn't hit the spot for me. I guess the $17 I spent on the so called "lunch special" was okay. I ordered the Red Curry, it came with a sweet and sour soup. The little cup of soup I had, had the most flavor almost too much so I added it to my flavorless curry but as you can see there's only 3 pieces of tofu in it. As for the red curry, it was in one of those small takeout containers and waaaay more rice than actual food. The food isn't bad it's just not as flavorful and makes me wish I chose a different place for lunch, especially for the price. That's the biggest factor for me. Overall it's a beautiful restaurant. I'm just not happy with my experience but good luck and happy eating!

We came to Mom's Siam 2 after shamrock, and it was so good!!! It was pretty cold by the evening, so a bowl of rice and warm curry was the perfect thing to eat. Our server suggested this curry and it was so yummy - it had potatoes, veggies, and tofu. There were so many vegetarian options so it made me very happy! The food was out pretty quickly despite how crowded it was. We had no wait either, we were seated promptly. My only complaint was the water in the bathroom was really hot so just be careful when using the bathroom sink.

I came here for lunch. The curry was amazing! Everything came out hot and fresh. I enjoyed my Thai tea as well. The salad wasn't great and I usually enjoy the salad with ginger dressings. Would definitely recommend!

Quick | Affordable | Portions Quick - Monica and I, met two of my high school friends for lunch on a Wednesday. We got a seat right away and received service right away. It was relatively busy but not outrageous. Affordable - The prices are all extremely affordable given its location in the city. I had the chicken teriyaki with broccoli and rice. It was $15 with tax a tip. Portions - come prepared with an appetite. I had lunch with my friends at noon and didn't need anything but a few snacks for the rest of the day. Overall, I highly recommend this location. Pro Tip 1 - There is a public parking lot half a block away. It is a very busy part of downtown, so plan for about 5-7 minutes of riding around if you want street parking. I would just bite the bullet and either uber over or use the parking lot.

My server was sooo nice and attentive. It was pretty empty when I went around 5:00pm on Saturday which was interesting because their happy hour is from 4-7 Monday-Saturday. Basil chicken was so yummy and flavorful and my Moscow mule was great.

Everything a five. The atmosphere is so cute and the staff was attentive. We got the Maki rolls, calamari, and sticky rice with mango. All absolutely delicious.

We started off with some fried tofu (not pictured) and followed up with two specialty rolls. For two people, this was plenty to fill us up. The Monster roll is pretty filling with its size, tuna, and a piece of tempura. The roll on the left (forgot the name), was a nice balance to the heavier Monster roll. I thoroughly enjoyed the specialty rolls! Service was great! We were running behind our reservation time and I called to let them know. We still got our table when we arrived! They told us about the happy hour and we got some drinks and an appetizer. Water was always refilled. Ambiance is low key. Great for catching up with friends and families. Bathrooms had cool, neon lighting like you're at the club. Would definitely come back (which I did)!

Yume Roll and Jeff roll on bogo. They were actually a bit smaller than I expected. I ate all 4 rolls in one sitting. Some of the roll pieces were kind of thin but it was worth it with the bogo deal. Still pretty good flavor. I liked the Jeff roll with tuna, it seemed like a pretty thin topping and had a nice little kick from the jalapeño. The Yume roll had good flavor but it felt like the filling with the crunch was a lot of the filling which made it a little bland, nice crunch and simple flavors.

The wings were advertised as double fried so I expected it to be more like a Bon Chon friend chicken wing, but it did not taste battered enough in my opinion. The flavor was still great and they were fresh. I was excited to try the Angry Squid, but the portion was a bit disappointing. The dish was full of flavor; however, it came with two pieces of shrimp and a handful of squid rings. Bulgogi ribeye bibimbap 4/5 - a bit on the saltier side but still had great flavor. I was happy with how fresh everything came out and the ambiance inside was nice. The server was attentive and the food came out quick. Probably wouldn't go back unless I was craving Korean and ran out of new places to try. Although we read they have a decent happy hour ( $1 dumplings ) so I'd definitely roll for that. ---- Food ---- House Bowl served in a clay pot filled with white rice, house-made kimchi, soybean sprouts, carrots, cucumber, and pickled onions. We got ours with bulgogi ribeye. The flavor was good but wish it came with an egg ( $2.50 extra ). ( 3/5 ) Angry Squid - Squid, shrimp, carrots, cabbage, green onions tossed in our sweet & spicy gochujang mix, served with rice. The portion was really small with only about 8 squid rings and 2 shrimp. The flavor was really good with decent spice. ( 4/5 ) Korean Chicken Wings Honey Gochu - These definitely weren't your traditional Korean chicken wings. The menu read they should be twice fried but they didn't end up having a full coat of batter. Having said that...they were still fine ( 3/5 ). ---- Service ---- Essentially one server also acting as hostess and bartender. She did a great job. Never waited for anything and was nice. ---- Ambiance ---- Quiet and only about 70% full. Well decorated, nice warm lighting.
