Went here per the request of my partner. He absolutely loves it here. I got the Udon Noodle bowl and it was super super tasty ! Granted I did burn tf outta my tongue on how hot it was - but it was so worth it. They weren't too pricey either with how much food you get and how good it is. The service is quick - they can get busy so just keep out for that. I loved the comfy vibes inside- felt like a proper ramen spot ! Had anime playing and everything. Would def recommend and go back to. read more

Customizable spice levels on every ramen( I got the highest spice and it wasn't THAT spicy, once I added in their spicy add ins on the table I was able to get it to the level I wanted. The chicken katsu was SO GOOD, so good that I wish I had more of it. My boyfriend enjoyed the miso soup and we will definitely come back again. Reminded me of our trip to Japan. Quick service. Ambiance was super cute and cozy! read more

The miso ramen was sooooooo good! The waiter was super sweet. I love the hello kitty glow light and the ambiance all together.

Foods good but the last time I was here my waiter was rude ‍ almost like me coming in bothered her. Haven't been back since

The service was good. The ramen was tasty and reasonably priced. We had the pineapple fried rice and the teriyaki chicken with our ramen. The lunch special from 11-3pm seems like the way to go. Unfortunately we missed it by 30 minutes. read more

The Vegetarian Ramen was absolutely delightful! I asked for it without the egg to make it vegan, and it turned out awesome. They offer mild, medium, and super spicy options. I went with medium, which had good flavor but wasn't quite spicy enough for me, so I added a little sriracha from the table. Perfect touch. The ambiance was cozy and inviting. It's a small spot, but that adds to the charm. It made for a great little Monday dinner date. Service was exceptional too; our food came out surprisingly fast after we ordered. I'll definitely be back! read more

Great spot for if you're craving ramen but are a broke college student. My usual go-to is the mild pork tonkatsu ramen which to some might be on the saltier end but to me really hits the spot (and satisfies my moderate sodium addiction lol). Portions are huge and it's hard to find good ramen at this price point nowadays. Interior is compact but cute and the service is always so spot-on and efficient--perfect for a quick lunch break in between classes or before a long dreaded cram sesh at Cabell. Definitely recommend for your next ramen fix! read more

omgg why i have avoiding this spot.. I am not one to bash just because they serve what I don't eat.. They have a lot of pork options but was able to readjust my meal with the Veggie broth.. I was missing the spice but the overall taste was very good... The shrimp tempura CRISPY and fresh.. The noodles were el dente, not too soft or crunchy!! I am very pleased to say this was a little different for me but also satisfying!!! I will be returning read more

Came here on a Monday night. It's a quaint little spot basically on VCU's campus. The vibes were good and the staff were friendly! We both got the vegetarian ramen... one medium and one mild. They let you choose your spice level but there is also some sauces on the table if you're feeling brave! The broth was super flavorful and the noodles were soft but not over cooked, which is crucial. This was my first time at a ramen spot so I'm no expert, but all around lovely experience and food! Would definitely eat again! read more

First time having ramen and I'm thoroughly impressed! This place was easy to miss as it's on the concern and kinda looks like a hole in the wall. It's fairly small on the inside (roughly 8 tables and a bar in the window). I visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was fairly quiet but seemed to have good business. The servers were nice and even recommended me the Miso Ramen. I ended up trying the Spicy Miso Ramen and it actually wasn't that spicy. Both were good tho! The edamame was not as salty as I expected but not bad. I'd definitely visit again! read more

I got a lunch special tonkotsu ramen and it came with tako yaki. The tako yaki was really good, fried to perfection with a sweet , salty taste. The ramen wasn't the best I've had. The egg was slightly overcooked, just one slice of pork, and the noodles seemed a little off. The broth was decent, savory but not the best I've had. Staff was nice and relocated us from a high top to a table when it became available. Overall the lunch special for $13 is an amazing deal , you get some super amazing tako yaki and a decent bowl of ramen. I'd try it again during there lunch special hours. We come after a recommendation from a local at a bar we were at and it did not disappoint. 10/10 everything was so good. The staff was great and really helped us get our order together. Oh man, best miso ramen in RVA! I mean what more can you say. I got the pork buns, they were soggy on the bottom, and weren't the best I've ever had but again, they don't call it the Ramen spot for no reason. Another thing, there's a bubble tea place right next door. Great location! read more

I am always suspicious of places on college campuses but Ramen Spot is and immediately my new fav spot. We got the pork buns, Kimchi pork fried rice, and three different ramens. All were amazing. I had the spicy miso ramen with an extra egg and it was mouthwatering. Can't recommend the kimchi pork fried rice enough either! Service was 12/10 and everything came out quickly even though their (relatively small) space was full. It's also easy to walk in and order/pick up to go. It's not lavishly decorated but who cares; it's cute enough and their food steals the show. This has been my fav Richmond surprise in a long time! Writing this review has made me want this food again tonight lol read more

Service was rushed but not rude. Food was alright. Nothing to ride home about. The dining area is small so it definitely depends on your luck on getting a table. The front door seems to take forever to close and cold air kept getting in. read more

Let me cut to the chase! The fried crispy shrimp was my favorite! It was paired with a slightly sweet and tangy dipping sauce. The Ramen Spot has a pretty large menu but I do believe there is something for everyone! The beef curry was pretty good too. The potato cakes were a bit heavy for my taste personally but they were a nice first try. read more

Had high hopes but from picking up to eating my ramen there was just too many hiccups. First off I arrived from the estimated time they gave me but end up having to wait another 30 mins. Another customer was also frustrated cause they kept Asking him what he ordered. The second hiccup was that they packed the food in a poor way where the containers warped and a lot of the soup spilled out through the bag. Third hiccup, for one of the ramen they gave one piece of cha siu and the other ramen had three pieces of cha siu. The food itself... the char siu bun was alright. The sauce tasted like straight up mayo and it wasn't really appetizing but the meat was good. On to the ramen, this was kinda disappointing, the noodle was very bland as with the soup. read more

This place was cranking out some ramen to go orders all while the small cozy restaurant was full! Fast & efficient service, wait staff was really kind and hardworking. We were in and out despite how busy they were and we didn't feel rushed or pressured to leave. Very impressed with this place. More impressed with the Cha-Shu pork based ramen. Flavor was there and I finished my whole bowl (with some regret when I left only because I was so full!!) Serving sizes are very appropriate for apps and dishes like the fried rice. Fried rice dish came with a side of miso soup as well. Loved this place !! 10/10 recommend to a friend read more

Very tasty! Love that they had anime playing while I ate. Great for the whole thing they got going on. My ramen was delicious. Ate and drank every last drop. The only thing I wish the menu had was karage! I might be spelling that wrong. But Japanese style fried chicken often served with a spicy mayo and a lemon. Other than that. 10/10 read more

Food - 4/5 Service - 5/5 Ambiance - 3/5 Came around for a late lunch. Was greeted immediately and shown to a table. Service was quick given that we were the only table at the time. But still good and attentive nonetheless. Food was pretty good. Could've used a bit more seasoning in my opinion. Broth was rich but still lacking in flavour. But this could be a personal preference. Ambiance was pretty much lacking since there was no music, it wasn't busy etc.. all in all. First experience was good and will be back. read more

I had surgery last week and was craving the chicken katsu ramen from here. It didn't disappoint! They manage to provide the right ratio of broth to noodles to other mix-ins here, which magical! food: fine, very bland but overall not bad service: accidentally got pork broth, i can't eat pork. I asked if i could switch it to veggie broth before i took my to go order and she said no so i offered to buy it and she continued to lecture us for a couple minutes, raising her voice because we forgot to tell her i couldn't eat pork. there was no issue i paid for new broth as soon as she said she couldn't fix it and for the entire time we waited for the veggie broth to come out she lectured us on how it was our fault. the food is not worth the service. read more

The food was great! We had the ramen bowls, one beef with pork broth, and one seafood with veggie broth, both flavorful. The one thing to take note of is their spice level is very lacking, so if you like spicy, go for super (medium didn't even give me a tingle on my tongue). The appetizers we got were sumai and kimchi, both very good, and the kimchi was spicy enough to make up for the ramen. Portions are good, the menu isn't overly complicated. Service was good as well. It's a nice little restaurant on the corner of a busy campus street. If you can find street parking that's great but there is a parking garage on the same block. read more

Decent ramen, but I've definitely had better. This is a small unfussy space that feels cozy and always has VCU students dining in.
