The good: the food and prices. My parter and I shared an order of grilled dumplings that were fabulous. My parter had the Sauce Yaki Soba that was fantastic with crunchy vegetables and tender noodles. My Mano Tofu Don had a wonderful flavor unfortunately for me the tofu was very silky and I prefer extra form. The taste was very good but the texture didn't work for me. The neutral: ambience- nit much to say here. The not do good: services. We had to request water after being served and not ordering beverages. My tofu had a numbing sauce - water was not optional. Our server also did not remove their ear pods which was a big off putting. read more

I would marry Grace Noodle and have its babies. The depth of flavor is another level. I feel healed every time I have this broth. The noodles are PERFECT. Comfort in a bowl. The service is always quick and the woman that takes orders is always pleasant. This is not the place to go if you want a fine dining experience. It's cozy and casual and it works. The space Isn't huge but it has a good amount of seating options and never feels overcrowded. They do play gospel/christian music (quietly) the entire time but honestly I think the comfort I get from the ramen cancels out any childhood trauma this may conjure up. I wish this place wasn't nearly 30 minutes from where I live but for $12 I will be going every chance that I have. read more

Easy take out. The dumplings are my favorite. However, the noodles to go aren't as good as dining in.

Great food and atmosphere, laid back environment. Staff super nice. Been coming for years and never disappointed. read more

Took the family out tonight, this place is a decent ramen spot, so much potential. Not trying be too critical because for starters it was only 2 people running the house (kitchen and dining). I think once that is addressed maybe the experience will be better. Almost 30 bowls for one Chef. We sat ourselves, don't really get greeted, never got water until we asked, and also didn't order from the table. I believe adding waitresses and atleast 2-3ppl in the kitchen will help tremendously read more

Came in on a Saturday afternoon. We sat right away and our order was taken pretty quickly. The food came out quick and nice and hot. Got the shrimp fried rice. It was good. Also got 2 different ramen dishes. They were both hot and tasted great. The dishes were either $10 and $11 and were a great size. The soda machine wasn't working so we were served cans of soda. read more

Apparently the "it" place to try so we came here for the noodles on a cold day and we were pleased. I got the Tonkatsu ramen while Hubby had the Tan Tan one. His was a spicy one and when I tried the broth all I tasted was heat. He tasted mine and liked mine more. Mine had more depth of flavor as if it had sat on the stove for hours vs. his which was more of a let's just add as much spice to it so that you can't taste anything else. Mine had the requisite pork but it did melt in my mouth. Also had the fish balls cut into fine slices that had the pretty pink on the inside, the seaweed, half a boiled egg, and veggies but somehow my camera malfunctioned so my photos disappeared but thankfully hubby's didn't. His was pure spice. I did have to ask for a glass of water because none is provided. read more

we were actually going to Ethiopian restaurant when we discovered it was not open for lunch. quick change of plans and we discovered this place (based on Yelp reviews); so we came here for the noodles on a cold day and we were pleased. I had the Tan Tan ramen, wife ordered I got the Tonkatsu ramen. Mine was a spicy as was indicated on menu (I like spicy food!). I tasted wife's and actually liked it more as it had more depth of flavor. Mine, while good, was more spice-forward so that you couldn't appreciate the broth. Tonkatsu had the requisite pork and had the fish balls cut into fine slices that had the pretty pink on the inside, the seaweed, half a boiled egg, etc. A positive note: restroo were spacious and well maintained (often not the case). overall decor was very appealing in a relaxed fashion. read more

Been looking for good veggie ramen in Richmond and I think we found a decent pick with Grace Noodle! There are a few vegetarian / vegan options, so we shared two bowls of ramen (one Miso Ramen, one spicy whose name I forgot) and both were slurpable and satisfying. Service was pretty good and not overly attentive. We would come back to Grace Noodle for a cozy bowl of noodley goodness! read more

After watching the movie Tampopo, my friends and I were craving some ramen. ***LOCATION*** Located on Main st in Shockoe Bottom. There is free street parking out front and nearby or pay parking lot not too far. You can also take the 14 or pulse bus here. ***EXPERIENCE*** We came on a Monday night. It's always lovely finding spots open on Mondays in Richmond. We were a group of four. There are a lot of seating options available. There was one person working at the front/as our server. She was kind and always came at the right moment. On this visit I got Tonkotsu ramen and a lychee ramune. My friends ordered the shoyu ramen. They loved the ramen they ordered. I find that every place prepares their ramen differently and has dishes that are better than others. I wished the tonkotsu's broth was a bit thicker and more flavorful, beside that, it was fine. I really enjoyed my lychee ramune. My friend's melon ramune was reminiscent of bubble gum. They were really sweet about splitting the bill here. ***PRICE*** My ramen and drink cost about $19 (this includes tip). ***BATHROOM*** There are two gender neutral bathrooms. ***CONCLUSION*** I was excited to try a new place! Although I found my tonkotsu to just be ok, my friends seemed to really like their shoyu ramen. If I'm ever in the area, I'd be excited to try other things from their menu. read more

Our go to place for ramen in Richmond! The soba noodles and the veggie fried rice are pretty good too.

Me and my friend came from out of town and I was craving ramen big time and were going to see a concert by the canal. So we found Grace Noodle and darn was it delicious. This place is such a gem! I had some time to kill before catching a train at the Main Street station, and took a chance since this was so close by. Grace noodle is my favorite hole in the wall for ramen. It is authentic, fresh, and flavorful. I have been here probably about 10 times overall but didn't want to submit a review until I tried their carry out. Usually my order is Wanton Ramen with chicken and an order of grilled dumplings. I also really enjoy their shrimp and veggie cold noodles. I'd say after trying the take out I'd still give them 5 stars but definitely prefer dining in. I appreciate how they packaged my take out to avoid the noodles getting soggy and the broth was still just as hot when I got home. The chicken felt a bit dry so maybe if I get takeout again I'll try pork (have never had that issue before). Dining in to me is a bit better only because you can customize your broth and spice level with the sauces and chili oil on the tables. Prices and portions are reasonable too. read more

I stopped by for lunch before leaving Richmond. Let me say this right now, the BEST NOODLES in RVA!! Service was good and food came out fast. I had the "Spicy Kimchi Ramen with chicken" it was the right amount of spicy and the noodles were so good, I also had the "Octopus tako Yaki" the sauces on top of it were tangy and so tasty. The Strawberry Smoothie was good as well. I recommend. read more

The soups were delicious and the service was superb. I would gladly recommend Grace Noodle to anyone and of course I shall return.

Excellent food and portions. Fast service during lunch. Soup was as delicious as the best pho.

This is a place I have been meaning to go to for some time. My son invited me out to lunch and chose. Grace Noodle, and I was thrilled to be able to finally get a chance to see what all the fuss was about. This is a small family run business in Shokoe Bottom. I always like exploring this area because of its rich history, and the fact that there are many little small restaurants along Main Street. This is a classic Ramen house with a variety of takes on the ubiquitous Asian dish. I had the seafood Ramen, and my son had a pork Ramen. I can't remember the exact name of his but the broth was absolutely fantastic! There is something very comfortable about a nice big bowl of Ramen on a winter day. I've gobbled up my food too quickly to post a picture, but there seems to be many on this page that look exactly like what I had. The prices are reasonable, the service is friendly, and you need to get down here and get yourself a big bowl of Ramen! read more

The food was good. There was a fairly large selection. The service was good but a bit slow. The restaurant was clean and cute. It wasn't too busy so it was nice to be able to chat in a quieter setting. read more

I know I am an oddball for eating dishes at a noodle place w/o noodles. But it's worth it to try other delicious foods, and it proves the quality of such a restaurant. The curry chicken and stamina don (ground pork and leeks with spicy garlic sauce) are tongue tinglers but full of flavor, plus I still get a cup of their warm, satisfying broth. Also, my teenage daughter devours their wantan ramen. read more

Tonkotsu ramen was amazing, came out super fast and staff is very friendly! Would definitely recommend

Super good quality yakisoba. The gomoku yakisoba is basically crispy noodles drenched in thick gravy that's full of yummy ingredients such as quail egg, shrimp, veggies, etc. The pork yakisoba is dry fried noodles with lots of toppings. I'd say a good yakisoba would have that charred flavor to it because it's cooked with high heat (hopefully in a wok). And I think this yakisoba delivers. We also got the seafood ramen, which has broth that tastes similar to the gomoku but without that layer of charred/fried flavor. My husband loves seafood but I think next time I would try the other kinds of broths to mix it up if I end up ordering gomoku yakisoba again. read more

What up Yelp! We popped into Grace Noodle about an hour ago and I'm already writing the review. I was rolling with two ladies and we started off with apps - the Turkey Bacon Roll and the Spicy Wanton Shrimp. I liked the texture of the turkey bacon roll, the crunch of the cucumber with the warmth of the turkey bacon make for a neat combination. The ladies weren't feelin' it but I was. The Spicy Wanton Shrimp was just OK for me. Before you knew it the Ramen bowls had arrived. I mailed it in and ordered the quintessential Shoyu Ramen which is a soy sauce based broth. Wifey Pooh had the Gomoku ramen which is a fish or seaweed stock and she felt hers was the best. Lastly The Jameson drinking champion of 2019 had a miso based ramen bowl. I don't think she cared for it all that much. Wifey Pooh and I enjoyed our hot bowls of Ramen on such a cloudy bleh day in Richmond. I'm fairly sure we will go back during these cold months in Virginia. Especially since that other ramen place can't be bothered to open until 12. Thanks for saving Monday's soup lunch Grace Noodle! read more

A solid three star location in Richmond Virginia for Ramen . We had tried to locate a Ramen shop however a lot of places currently due to coronavirus are only allowing takeout. This place allowed for dine in. The ambience was a little odd as there was no music whatsoever. However the service was great. The appetizers left a lot to be desired specifically the fried octopus balls were actually very soggy and seemed like they were microwaved. However the Ramen soup was delicious and not too salty and came out piping hot. The price can't be beat. read more
