Notice little beef and lots of liquid.

Got the $15 Teriyaki NY Strip Steak. They give you very little beef that is way over done and tasted like chewy roast beef that is sitting in soup. The rice is ok and the sushi is decent. If I want soup, I will go get a can of progressive beef stew which is what this was. Plenty of similar places around with better hibachi and Teriyaki for only $10 that also give you a salad with ginger dressing. This is one mistake I will not make again

    Shrimp hibachi take out

Was slightly hesitant to try this place due to several mixed reviews, but I had a taste for hibachi and wasn't in the mood to go to a fancy spot for the show. Bottom line- this was good and certainly good enough to cure the hibachi crave. Prices are reasonable and you get a decent amount of food. I tried the hibachi shrimp and also a danger roll. Sushi was pretty good, which may have been my shock factor. The hibachi had great taste and came with a side of ginger and yum yum sauce. I have to agree with other reviewers saying the yum yum is sweet. Honestly, it reminded me of a mix of yum yum + white sauce from a Mexican restaurant. It wasn't bad though when mixed in with the rice and veggies, but I probably used only half just to not overwhelm it. So, why take away a star? Simple-miso soup and salad not included. I know the prices are low, but there are some express places like this in RVA that do give you the standard for similar prices. I wouldn't even be mad paying a couple bucks more to have it included. Just my personal preference and feeling. Overall, this is a cheap and quick spot to grab some sushi or hibachi for lunch or dinner. They do have a few tables to dine in, but seems more like a take-out spot IMO.

Raw salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, and California roll.

This may look like a bit of a hole in the wall restaurant, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the food. Everything was fresh and well made and the prices are extremely reasonable. Three classic sushi rolls costs $12 (normally $4.50-5.00 each), and I ordered a raw salmon roll, spicy crunchy tuna, and a California roll. The California roll was very basic, nothing to write home about, but the tuna and salmon were fantastic! Everything was perfectly proportioned for a single bite, the seaweed and rice were high quality and held together, and the fish was delicious. I've also ordered their chicken fried rice, which comes as an enormous portion for under $8.00. It's not at all like fried rice I've had elsewhere: just rice, soy sauce, and onions, but nonetheless it was very tasty and reheated well.

We tried this cozy place out while our daughter was testing at a facility nearby. The area is nice and quiet! The food was on par with the sit down hibachi Restaurants! Portions are a good size. Everything tastes fresh! They serve Sushi if your down for it as well!

If you're looking to skim yourself of a true hibachi experience and want to have the food delivered ( third party delivery via grub hub) then this is acceptable. It's not great food, it's just the kind that fills a void when you're craving the real thing. It's cheaper than your normal hibachi, but not quite worth what they charge in my opinion. We ordered salmon with steak (no filet). It comes with fried rice (small portion) and veggies. I also ordered a California roll. It's a 3 star experience.

Solid energy, good drinks, and a menu that makes it hard to choose just one thing. But if I had to pick one must-order item -- and trust me, that's not easy -- it's the Malaysian curry ramen. I have heard good things from colleagues, some of them state that this is their favorite ramen in Richmond, though I have to say, I'm not convinced this place deserves their high praise. When we arrived, we ordered a drink at the bar, but were quickly seated thereafter, and our drinks that we ordered at the bar simply never arrived. When we spoke to the server about this, she seemed confused, and appeared to be somewhat new, and ultimately did not honor that happy hour prices of our drinks that ended up showing up 30 minutes later. Furthermore, one drink that I ordered was regular price, but the price listed on the menu was incorrect, and again the server would not the lower price that was printed on the menu. I was not informed of this error until the receipt was printed. The ramen itself was fine. I've had better, I've had worse. I felt like the broth itself was overall way too salty, and lacked the depth the flavor that I was seeking in a ramen broth. The noodles were well cooked and al dente, and the toppings were a nice addition. All in all, my experience here was rather disappointing, and I really hope that there's better ramen in Richmond.

I've been seeing Ginza Soot but haven't tried it. My husband wanted ramen (we usually go to Takara) and we saw Ginza had ramen on the menu so we decided to try it. We ordered takeout: -Korean wings half regular and 1/2 spicy. They were just okay. Better Korean wings are available around town so I'd skip these next time. - Beef gyoza- reminded me of the frozen ones I buy from Lotte or Trader Joe's. They were okay but I didn't get the 'made in house' vibe from these. I've had better. Wouldn't order them again. - Pork tonkatsu ramen spicy. Granted it was takeout, but the package seems like it was assembled and stored in the fridge until someone ordered. The broth had to be heated up. It wasn't great. Wouldn't order it again. - general Tao's chicken spicy. This was way too sweet and not a hint of spiciness. The broccoli was overcooked. This is on par will mall Chinese food. Actually I've had better general Tso's at the mall kiosk. I bet the drinks and teas are good. For food, this one is not for me. This goes in the once and done column for me.

You can pick from a variety of ingredients and everything looked fresh. We also had the General Tso chicken with broccoli and white rice. Let me tell you, it was VERY HOT. Not spicy hot, like blow on your food as you eat hot, so be careful. It was very flavorful though and I took some leftovers and reheated in the air fryer just fine. My husband tried a watermelon drink with a clear ball at the top that made for an interesting conversation. No, he didn't swallow it. Definitely try this place. It had many other things on the menu.
