The best wings and my last shrimp tempura
Harry P.

This is probably my 4th review of this place and I'm sorry to say the quality has declined. Spicy ramen wasn't as tasty or as spicy as I remember and the fried chicken was way overcooked. It was closer to burnt. I loved this place but, I'm sorry to say, it has changed. The service is still good and I don't have complaints about it. Ambiance; I will say try to remember when the westchester complex has their Thursday night summer concerts, parking is hard to find. Their interior hasn't changed and no real complaints about it.

Classic ramen and Takara Gyoza apps.

Came in for lunch with my boyfriend and though the heat was out that day, the staff was still accommodating and had heaters at the table. Personally, the cold weather was perfect for the ramen. The classic ramen was SO good! The broth was amazing and the pork was nice and tender, I even asked for more pork because it was so city. The Takara Gyoza apps were good as well. Definitely will be returning.

House wine at happy hour

This place has become our go-to ramen spot in Midlo. Excellent flavor, never very crowded, servers are attentive, and happy hour is great! Do yourself a favor and try them out. They have a pretty big menu and I think it's worth trying the full spectrum, but honestly I ordered the spicy ramen on our first visit and I've never felt like deviating. It is really just too good, and I don't say that lightly. We've never had a long wait on weeknights or Fridays. Everyone who comes here is generally pretty calm and quiet. Decor is sleek and clean. They also generally have specials, and you can tell that the restaurant is well cared for. Just a very pleasant experience overall!

Spicy miso ramen with salmon avocado roll

First of all, I love that there is a secondary location right off the highway for easy access. Second, I love that they have a few sushi rolls. Third, I love their foods! This one is a bit different from the original - the original location on Broad has the whole crew greeting you when you walk in. They also used to allow guests to sit where the ramen was being prepared, behind a partition of course, but I don't know if that changed after covid because this location definitely doesn't seem to offer that option. This location has a more extended bar and it seems like it could have been a great bar spot but I have to admit that their marketing on that is probably not promoted enough and they don't seem to have a regular bartender anyway. Other than that, the place is always nice and quiet and makes for a nice dinner spot. This visit, I had the spicy miso ramen and the salmon avocado roll. Both were super good but I do wish they offered a few more rolls under $10. It's a great complement to the ramen, which can be rich. The service here is always wonderful and I really have no complaints except I do wish they played some music outside and maybe allowed the windows to be less tinted. It can look a bit unwelcoming, even to folks like me who have been here a few times. Definitely recommend on any day with friends!

I'm a big fan of ramen. It's one of the foods I live for. My good friends live close to this place and every time I visit, I make them come here with me. It's the second best ramen I've had. The eggs are soaked in soy. You get all of the more unique furnishings most ramen joints don't put in. The broth has a wonderful, deep flavor with plenty of fat. The pork has additional flavor (this is what will typically separate mid ramen from high-end). Noodles from top to bottom with a good texture. I believe their classic ramen is a Tonkotsu. I've had their Miso as well awhile back. All of it is sure to please. They have a wonderful selection of Sake for those who enjoy. Highly recommend the sampler. The spring roll wasn't anything to write home about.

Spicy Miso Ramen

Nice little place, great ambiance, very good Ramen. I had the Spicy Miso w/pork. Great flavor, quick and friendly service. I had the beef gyoza for an appetizer. Perfect size for an appetizer and very tasty. It came to the table in just a few min after ordering. I will definitely be back.

Spicy miso ramen and Philly Mountain
Paris J.

Spicy miso ramen was great. We had to order a second bowl. Philly mountain was good came on top of crab and seaweed salad. Our waitress was nice and quick. It's a cute little spacious spot in westchester.

Took two grandkids here and wish I hadn't. No kid's menu but after the meal ended, than the server explained how parents order an extra bowl of just noodles and share their broth, instead I wasted $16.00 on broth for my Five year old. I ordered what the server suggested. It was cold and flavorless. After adding some of other grandchild's spicy broth it was better. $61.00 for grandma and two kids lunch is ridiculous!!! Not returning any time soon. There are much better ramen restaurants.

Oh my goodness I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place! It was 2:00 on a Sunday and we were sat right away. We got the pork belly buns which were okay usually I like more pickled veggies in them and the spicy soy wings were crispy juicy yummy goodness. THIS RAMEN IS SOOOOOOOO GOOD. So much flavor and you can tell the broth was cooking for a while and the pork in the miso ramen was super crispy on the ends. Yum yum yum go here bye

Spicy Ramen with pork
Rena G.

I love their ramen as always. The spicy ramen with pork is the most flavorful IMO. We went here as a group for lunch and service was great. We got our food quick enough. We have 2 kids with us. The place is busy enough for lunch but we were able to get serve quickly. This is a place to go for ramen in Midlothian .

Been here twice, the food is delicious. Their ramen is the best and has great flavor, however the bowls are big. I'm able to share them with someone else or take them home for a second meal. Well worth the money. The decor around the place is very cute, kind of modern/city style Asian. Staff has always been nice.

We started off with some fried tofu (not pictured) and followed up with two specialty rolls. For two people, this was plenty to fill us up. The Monster roll is pretty filling with its size, tuna, and a piece of tempura. The roll on the left (forgot the name), was a nice balance to the heavier Monster roll. I thoroughly enjoyed the specialty rolls! Service was great! We were running behind our reservation time and I called to let them know. We still got our table when we arrived! They told us about the happy hour and we got some drinks and an appetizer. Water was always refilled. Ambiance is low key. Great for catching up with friends and families. Bathrooms had cool, neon lighting like you're at the club. Would definitely come back (which I did)!

Yume Roll and Jeff roll on bogo. They were actually a bit smaller than I expected. I ate all 4 rolls in one sitting. Some of the roll pieces were kind of thin but it was worth it with the bogo deal. Still pretty good flavor. I liked the Jeff roll with tuna, it seemed like a pretty thin topping and had a nice little kick from the jalapeño. The Yume roll had good flavor but it felt like the filling with the crunch was a lot of the filling which made it a little bland, nice crunch and simple flavors.

I do wish I could add more, but when you eat regular dishes, there's nothing more to say. Thank you again Tanpopo Ramen for making Sophia and myself satisfied. Keep it up :)

I've been seeing Ginza Soot but haven't tried it. My husband wanted ramen (we usually go to Takara) and we saw Ginza had ramen on the menu so we decided to try it. We ordered takeout: -Korean wings half regular and 1/2 spicy. They were just okay. Better Korean wings are available around town so I'd skip these next time. - Beef gyoza- reminded me of the frozen ones I buy from Lotte or Trader Joe's. They were okay but I didn't get the 'made in house' vibe from these. I've had better. Wouldn't order them again. - Pork tonkatsu ramen spicy. Granted it was takeout, but the package seems like it was assembled and stored in the fridge until someone ordered. The broth had to be heated up. It wasn't great. Wouldn't order it again. - general Tao's chicken spicy. This was way too sweet and not a hint of spiciness. The broccoli was overcooked. This is on par will mall Chinese food. Actually I've had better general Tso's at the mall kiosk. I bet the drinks and teas are good. For food, this one is not for me. This goes in the once and done column for me.

You can pick from a variety of ingredients and everything looked fresh. We also had the General Tso chicken with broccoli and white rice. Let me tell you, it was VERY HOT. Not spicy hot, like blow on your food as you eat hot, so be careful. It was very flavorful though and I took some leftovers and reheated in the air fryer just fine. My husband tried a watermelon drink with a clear ball at the top that made for an interesting conversation. No, he didn't swallow it. Definitely try this place. It had many other things on the menu.
