Have been here many times as a couple and with groups and they have never disappointed us. They try to do their best and usually use a frequent tag team to serve you and check with you after being seated. They respond well to a simple wave. We have tried a good deal of the menu and the fajitas are the best I've had. There is some room for improvement with the menu. The food could use a little more flavor. The clean washroom facilities aren't the most desirable. Overall they deserve a better rating than most other Mexican style restaurants in this price range. read more

We have eaten here about ten times and they are consistently good. I had to write today because I tried there chili relleno and it was really good, I just order the one and it was huge. The cheese and beef and chili cooked perfectly. My husband ordered a combination platter and he devoured it before I could get a bite. I live about 15 minutes from this restaurant and eat there often. Prices range from $8-$15 per person, but my wife always gets side items (without beans and rice) and so her dinner is about $4 for a chicken burrito. The food is great. I wouldn't call it authentic mexican. It is Americanized Mexican food like Chevy's or something similar. You won't find soft corn tacos or Horchatta here, unfortunately. Wonderful food, family-style restaurant. In other words, focus is on sharing good food, not on fancy presentation. This is a family-owned business and one of the best in this area. Owners and workers are all related and truly from Mexico. Ask for the hot salsa from the back - really great, lots of cilantro, and it differs somewhat depending on who's making it. I mix it with the regular salsa and the cheese dip. Shredded beef is very good, but the real standout is the Mole Cajete Caliente, a wonderful dish that is kind of like a stew and eaten with flour tortillas. YUM. read more

Very disappointed in the service! We ordered drinks and we were brought chips and salsa and when we received the bill, we were charged for $3.00 for the chips and salsa that we never ordered. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant, where I was charged for chips/salsa after ordering $30 worth in drinks. And when we asked about the charge, we were blown off. I ask to speak to a manager and I was told they had none. To me this was very shady and unprofessional. So I went ahead and paid for our the drinks and the non-ordered chips/salsa. First time here and order the most expensive thing on the menu. The chips were good. The salsa was very bland and needed a lot of doctoring. The main meal was disgusting. The ground "Beef" was most likely horse. My wife also agreed is did not taste like beef. The cheese was fake and greasy. The red sauce was probably from a can and very bland. I had to use both hot sauces to make this meal edible. When I complained about the food I was ignored, like they could not understand me. I know Mexican food well... The food was mediocre, Sangria was very good (actually the best thing in the menu)...but the service was POOR. My server, was more worried about the tables that he could cash out than servicing the customers he had... I can go to Taco Bell and get the same for less... Service poor, food even worse! Ordered a vegetarian burrito, asked for beans and rice with onions and green peppers. It arrived on a plate covered with cheese, couldn't even see it. Once I scraped all of the cheese off, there was my 'burrito' with carrots and broccoli??? I tried a bite in hopes of it being amazing but NOPE. Sent it back and asked if they could make a burrito with just beans and rice. My remade burrito had chicken in it, which I didn't find until AFTER biting into it. Authentic Mexican food for a great price! Just don't fill up on the homemade chips and salsa, because you are going to want room for your entree. Great place to take groups, as there is something for everyone, including friends on vegetarian diets. My kids love this restaurant for the tortillia rolled hot dog and pineapple juice.
