Came here to watch Bruno Mars last month and the show was phenomenal…read more If you don't have the height, though, do NOT get the floor seats because you will spend a lot of time looking at the screen. It would have been helpful if there were traffic attendants at the light because this was what took us the longest. Make sure you arrive 1 hr early so you can get food and find your seats.

Took awhile to get thru once we passed the security check-in and were filtering down a few levels to get to the floor. Of course there were a ton of people and we were packed like sardines but the flow was smooth and people were patient. Once we got to our seats, we got situated and Leon Thomas was already midway as the opening act. There was a slight mixup as one chair, the "30th" seat was missing on our row and we ended up moving down one seat to our left as the group with the seating issue kept trying to figure it out. Some numbers were missing on our seats but mine was visible and we could verify where we were seated. Luckily, our seat neighbors were nice people and accommodating since there seemed to be an extra seat that was empty. When we first arrived, there were some people who sat near our seats that weren't supposed to be there but you know there's always one of those so they moved. It was fun and festive. The woman in front of us with her daughter was recording the whole time as well as the lone guy next to my cousin who was doing the same and singing to EVERY SONG, LOL!! Thankfully we never had to use the bathroom as we went during dinner right before the concert. There were Porta-Pottys on the floor level inside as your bathroom. Also, you couldn't take an actual canned drink inside. Attendants had you put them in a cup unless they weren't paying attention and you had your drink in your see-thru backpack like the guy in front of me walking in. Speaking of, you need to look at bag dimensions and restrictions prior to going to the events. I looked ahead of time and brought a clear, plastic purse within the allowed guidelines/dimensions. Acoustics were great, there was never a glitch, 2 large screens on the left and right of the stage were great for folks seated far away and were a great visual for close ups even for us. Security was effective and checkpoints at the entrances went smoothly. It was a bit crazy getting out of the stadium but we got out. Getting out of the parking lot was another story. It was a long, log-jam and some vehicles were impatient and nearly hitting other vehicles just to get in the line to get out! I think the parking guides and traffic monitors could've done better in an orderly and streamlined fashion. In any case, we had fun and luckily people inside were nice and courteous. This was my 2nd concert at this stadium and am well-pleased with the ambiance. It was just the parking lot situation that needs to be more efficient. Hopefully they worked it out the next evening since Bruno played 2 nights here.

My seat was also good even though it was far back with all of the projections you could see everything. I got a last minute ticket to see Florence & the Machine. My friend and I wanted to grab a bite and a drink prior to the show so we showed up super early but despite a million restaurants around almost every spot had a super long wait. When we finally got in to the arena they had very limited food selections -- quite disappointing actually -- and WAAAAAY over priced!! For a titos and soda (double so I didn't have to keep going back) it was almost $40!!! I spent more $$ on food and drink then I did on the tickets -- that really seems wrong. We ended up with seats on a special club level which was super nice because the seats were very comfy and the bathrooms were so nice and clean and close by -- so that was a major plus. The place was a madhouse (the whole Westgate area) we ended up leaving before encore because we took a Lyft and wanted to make sure we didn't have to wait a million years to get one out of there. Plus that part was really confusing where to drop and pick one up for Lyft/Uber -- but we finally made it out. Next time I will drive as parking seems a plenty (for a price but still less than I paid for a lyft there and back)

There's quite a few tenants in the Westgate center that have disappeared. The arena itself is getting quite antiquated. It's a typical oval/hexagonal shape so there's a lot of walking if you don't enter near your seating section. The worst part is there's not many options to get to the 2nd level (which is really about the 4th level). I took the stairs (no escalator or elevator in sight) just after injuring my knee and it was a painful climb of about 75 stairs. The upper seating section is also quite small and cramped. For seats near the ceiling the sound and was still good...but it's probably hard to watch other types of events in here.

They're laid back and a fun social event. Since moving to Arizona a little over a year ago, I finally got around to checking out my first Diamondbacks Game with a group on a Tuesday evening at Chase Field. One of the downsides of this venue is that it's downtown. Which means parking isn't going to be easy. I pre-purchased parking for a decent price. If you're looking for parking when you arrive close to the stadium, you're going to get gouged by parking lots and garages with their event rates. If you're lucky, and you're willing to walk a little bit, you might be able to find some free street parking. That's what I'm going to try next time around. Now, let's get to the good stuff. Getting into the stadium was a breeze. There wasn't a line and you walk through metal detectors where you don't have to take anything out of your pockets. Always a plus. Once I got in, I was excited to check out another baseball stadium. Even though Chase Field was built a while back, the stadium is well maintained and looks newer than it is. We sat in the Banner Health area which is center field. Fantastic seats with great views of the game. The weather was perfect so they had the retractable roof open. When it's too hot (those Phoenix summers hit), they close the roof. Like most venues, you're going to be paying for overpriced food and drinks. That's no different here. I walked around the entire stadium to check out all of the food options. It's mostly your standard fare, and an assortment of mediocre chain restaurants. I wish the food options were a bit better (Minute Maid Stadium in Houston has better food options hands down). I ended up going with some honey chicken fries (loaded fries with hot honey chicken, bacon, and chives) from Four Point Brewing. While the fries had been pre-made and were lukewarm, they were quite good for stadium food. Good portion size too. Probably one of the star food options at Chase Field. Swing batter batter, swing!

I went to this complex to attend the AZ Reggae fest. For a music festival venue, this complex is actually not a bad spot! There is enough grass to help cool things off during the day, yet the ground/dirt is compact enough that women like myself can comfortably walk in wedges without sinking into the ground. This is also goof for sports, as you dont want players tripping over holes in the ground. I imagine that many many different athletic events can be held on these fields. With the musical festival I attended here, a soccer tourny was taking place on the other end of the complex. It is large. Parking is good, but with no one directing and no real clear delineation, I can see it getting chaotic quickly. I would come back to events here. They should fix the road (northside of complex) around to parking. I would not want to drive my nice car on that road!
