It's a clear bag policy FYI LADIES!! Don't even try to bring any kind of bag in. Same security protocol as professional games now, no bags. They will make you take it back to your car. This arena like all others is oval in shape and the many times I have been there are always several entrances open and you can walk into any regardless of where your seat or section is. I attended the ASU Men's basketball game against Pacific in late December. We were in one the highest sections you could be and could still see very clearly the players and the game. Taking a look around there's really not a bad seat in the house. Being the highest up and not having to squint or ask my guy friends what happened or who is a good thing. Famous lemonade guy comes around with his 'lemonade just like mama made'.

We recently attended my sister-in-law's graduation ceremony. It was busy, insanely busy. It seemed almost impossible to find parking and almost impossible to find seating inside. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and sitting there for 3+ hours was painful. I can't imagine sitting there if you have any sort of back, leg, neck, etc pain. If possible, bring a seat cushion. However, there is a clear back policy, which I was unaware of prior to coming. I had to leave my purse in the car, which was unfortunate. Based on all these items, I definitely wouldn't want to attend a game night here.

It was our daughter' second rodeo there since she had earned a BA and walked into the Wells Fargo Arena at the time. Today she earned her master's degree and walked into the same Wells Fargo arena. It was extremely well organized and high security was in place. Not even a purse was allowed. Signed by proud mom!

After graduating out of this arena and recently watching a historic three point tsunami (record-tying 19 to be exact) against Central Arkansas, I have nothing bad to say about this arena. It's got an intimate feel to it, with the upper level definitely being smaller and more drawn-forward in person. Pretty much any seat is a good view in this place. If you go to ASU wrestling meets you get to sit wherever you want (general admission) so take advantage of that. Never tried the food but I'd imagine it's the expected standard college arena fare. Unless you're a Northern Mexico Wildcat, get your butt in the seats and let's cheer for the Sun Devils!

Great seats. Thanks Steve Kolesar a HOF baseball alumni.

ASU Basketball spends a tremendous amount of money on a very few student-athletes. 2017 I went to a basketball game and they did not allow straws or caps on cups. It was odd. Spend so much money on althletics yet trying to provide an environmental benefit. They have expanded their restaurant and concession stands and the straw ban has changed. This year they gave me a straw an cap. Bobby Hurley makes 1.2 million. He is a teacher of basketball. I want to know what a teacher of business makes. Or a teacher of English makes. They should be equally paid.

Wells Fargo Arena is an older venue in need of a significant facelift. It's a time capsule that hasn't changed much since its ASU Activity Center days. Incremental changes have been made over the years to (barely) maintain its relevancy. Fortunately, it should soon be seeing some money from the newly created ASU Athletic Facilities District to help with some serious upgrades. But do less than up-to-date amenities really matter? I say "no." The arena has a fantastic location at ASU and near light rail. Perfect size, much more intimate than US Airways Center. Great college sports. I highly recommend sports such as women's volleyball or women's basketball, which allow you to get up close and personal at a value price. For the price of one Phoenix Suns game, you can take the kids to half a dozen games at Wells Fargo!

This place is old and needs to be imploded. It looks like it was built in the 1960's or 70's and hasn't had a facelift since. They need to improve the "Ring of Honor" photo displays in the arena....right now, it looks like a high school yearbook from 1965 instead of a modern display to honor the ASU Hall of Fame athletes who deserve to be honored in a better way. It's more hilarious than honorable. They did a good job at the football stadium, some Alumni should step up to make it happen here. The walkways to get to your seat are very narrow so when people are in line at the concession stands it's very difficult to walk around. Same thing if a line forms at the restrooms, it's difficult to walk by. The seats in the arena are very narrow too. I have no idea how anyone who weighs 250+ lbs can sit in them. The video board is not bad and it can get loud when it's full, which is a key to home team advantage. Overall, the game watching experience is the best attribute to this arena. It falls short on everything else. Return Factor - 75%

No. It takes a lot of will power to drag yourself to the track in the morning and thus we should be able to check in and say, "LOOK AT ME. I AM AT THE TRACK." If you are looking for a place to do speed work, or just enjoy running in circles, this track is pretty nice. It has a little squish to it unlike older tracks. ASU unlocks the gates at 6am (or earlier) and does not enforce parking until 7am. This gives non-students a solid hour of track use. If you are a glutton for punishment, you can also run up the bleachers, plus it is a quarter mile away from A Mountain. There are bathrooms under the bleachers that are unlocked, plus a drinking fountain. There are probably other times the track is accessible and empty, but I am a morning runner so I can only speak about the morning.

It was about the perfect amount of activity for us as we got to try each of the activities once. There's about 8 active games including a batting game, tennis game, QB throw, field goal kick, boxing, skiing, soccer and more. Most of the games have a scoreboard that will display your score and have the top scores of the all time, weekly and daily. It's fun to see your name up on the scoreboard even when your score may be pretty brutal compared to the all-time greats. The staff was very helpful in checking us in and letting us know how each game works. There's a few games that are pretty simple and others that require some setting up (like getting boots and strapped in for the skiing. I enjoyed the QB throw the most but it looked like the bouncy basketball court was the most popular while we were there. We went on the Friday night and it wasn't very crowded...only have to wait maybe 5 minutes for any activity to open up. The place was pretty clean except I did notice they didn't spray down to clean the batting helmets after each person...that was kind of gross to put on the helmet and feel some sogginess. This may be a fun place for holding a birthday party for kids as they have ice cream, cereal and party rooms overlooking the area. For me it's probably a one and done visit, but we need more places like this where kids and families and have some good indoor activities besides bounce parks.

They're laid back and a fun social event. Since moving to Arizona a little over a year ago, I finally got around to checking out my first Diamondbacks Game with a group on a Tuesday evening at Chase Field. One of the downsides of this venue is that it's downtown. Which means parking isn't going to be easy. I pre-purchased parking for a decent price. If you're looking for parking when you arrive close to the stadium, you're going to get gouged by parking lots and garages with their event rates. If you're lucky, and you're willing to walk a little bit, you might be able to find some free street parking. That's what I'm going to try next time around. Now, let's get to the good stuff. Getting into the stadium was a breeze. There wasn't a line and you walk through metal detectors where you don't have to take anything out of your pockets. Always a plus. Once I got in, I was excited to check out another baseball stadium. Even though Chase Field was built a while back, the stadium is well maintained and looks newer than it is. We sat in the Banner Health area which is center field. Fantastic seats with great views of the game. The weather was perfect so they had the retractable roof open. When it's too hot (those Phoenix summers hit), they close the roof. Like most venues, you're going to be paying for overpriced food and drinks. That's no different here. I walked around the entire stadium to check out all of the food options. It's mostly your standard fare, and an assortment of mediocre chain restaurants. I wish the food options were a bit better (Minute Maid Stadium in Houston has better food options hands down). I ended up going with some honey chicken fries (loaded fries with hot honey chicken, bacon, and chives) from Four Point Brewing. While the fries had been pre-made and were lukewarm, they were quite good for stadium food. Good portion size too. Probably one of the star food options at Chase Field. Swing batter batter, swing!

Mullett Arena also was a temporary venue for the NHL Arizona Coyotes for several years. I actually stopped by Mullett Arena today for some ASU graduation festivities. It was the Sun Devil Athletics Stole Ceremony. From the comfortable seating and concourse around the inside of the arena, this arena was laid out well and served as a great event space. Some other events taking place over the next few months include the Arizona Juggernauts arena football games, the Stifel Stars on Ice, and the Riot Games LCS Spring Finals (two days). and the World Hip Hop Dance Championship. Clearly, the space can be used for a lot of different purposes. The Mountain America Community Iceplex at ASU is the ice rink on the west side of Mullett Arena. It has a concession stand for hot and cold refreshments and a full hockey pro shop. Temporary locker rooms were also setup for visiting teams when the Coyotes played there. The building also housed all of the on-site NHL training and locker room facilities during the Coyotes' temporary stay at the Mullett Arena. The arena is a great place to be for many different sorts of events, and it's still a rather new complex! I certainly recommend it.

Took awhile to get thru once we passed the security check-in and were filtering down a few levels to get to the floor. Of course there were a ton of people and we were packed like sardines but the flow was smooth and people were patient. Once we got to our seats, we got situated and Leon Thomas was already midway as the opening act. There was a slight mixup as one chair, the "30th" seat was missing on our row and we ended up moving down one seat to our left as the group with the seating issue kept trying to figure it out. Some numbers were missing on our seats but mine was visible and we could verify where we were seated. Luckily, our seat neighbors were nice people and accommodating since there seemed to be an extra seat that was empty. When we first arrived, there were some people who sat near our seats that weren't supposed to be there but you know there's always one of those so they moved. It was fun and festive. The woman in front of us with her daughter was recording the whole time as well as the lone guy next to my cousin who was doing the same and singing to EVERY SONG, LOL!! Thankfully we never had to use the bathroom as we went during dinner right before the concert. There were Porta-Pottys on the floor level inside as your bathroom. Also, you couldn't take an actual canned drink inside. Attendants had you put them in a cup unless they weren't paying attention and you had your drink in your see-thru backpack like the guy in front of me walking in. Speaking of, you need to look at bag dimensions and restrictions prior to going to the events. I looked ahead of time and brought a clear, plastic purse within the allowed guidelines/dimensions. Acoustics were great, there was never a glitch, 2 large screens on the left and right of the stage were great for folks seated far away and were a great visual for close ups even for us. Security was effective and checkpoints at the entrances went smoothly. It was a bit crazy getting out of the stadium but we got out. Getting out of the parking lot was another story. It was a long, log-jam and some vehicles were impatient and nearly hitting other vehicles just to get in the line to get out! I think the parking guides and traffic monitors could've done better in an orderly and streamlined fashion. In any case, we had fun and luckily people inside were nice and courteous. This was my 2nd concert at this stadium and am well-pleased with the ambiance. It was just the parking lot situation that needs to be more efficient. Hopefully they worked it out the next evening since Bruno played 2 nights here.
