This charming theater is located in the thick of the heart of downtown Gilbert. As far as I could tell, they don't have a parking lot but there is plenty of free street and surface lots close by. Just a few minutes away by foot. All theaters have their pros and cons and Hale is no different. It's a intimate theater that probably can seat a few hundred people tops. Which means there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Well, let's talk about the seats. The space between seats is pretty cramped if you're tall (I'm 6'2"). Let's switch gears again. Concessions consists of snacks (no hot food) and beverages. During intermission, they bring a cart out to the stage so you don't have to go to the lobby. Nicely done! Reasonable prices too for a venue. The lobby area gets pretty packed right before the show. Rather than messing with the traffic jam, I went to the other side of the theater and went to the restroom there. It's a one person restroom (not ideal for a venue) but the restrooms by the lobby are larger. I saw Catch Me If you Can at Hale. Looking forward to my next visit!

I've been going and bringing visitors there for years. This place is majorly fun, and home to the largest Wurlitzer theater organ in the world. The Mighty Wurlitzer has more than 6,000 pipes, 82 ranks and 17 tuned percussion instruments, plus drums, xylophones, glockenspiels and all sorts of musical bells and whistles (there may literally be bells and whistles, I wouldn't be surprised.) The whole thing is powered by 4 giant turbine blowers, and the organist's console rises dramatically from the floor on a rotating platform like the pure magic that this place is. Throw in flashing lights, a disco ball, blowing bubbles and even dancing cat puppets, and you've got a mesmerizing performance that is pure joy to witness. You can request songs to be played (drop in your request card as soon as you arrive for a better chance to hear your requested songs). As a regular, I will say that it's often times the same songs that get played every time, but over the years I've heard everything from classical music, musicals, Disney songs, movie tracks, rock, etc. The organist will go from playing The Phantom of the Opera to The Little Mermaid to the U.S. Marines song, to some Led Zeppelin, Queen or Usher. It's amazing. I like the dining hall-style sitting. You can interact with the people at your table, or not, and there is plenty of seating for large parties. While it's not the reason why I go there, I personally think the food is good. They have pizza, a salad bar, ice cream and more. There's also an arcade room at the entrance. If you read this review in August 2026 - they currently have a special where you can get an appetizer (garlic bread), a large pizza and a pitcher of soda for $26. Dinner for two (with leftovers!) and entertainment for $26 nowadays is a great deal.

Reagan was very easy to work with during the planning stages, quick to respond to emails and was down for any ideas and suggestion that I thought of. We also chose the specialty "Paint Your Pet's Portrait" Class and each painter sent in a photo of their pet to have Tawny, our teacher, draw an outline of the animal so that we had an easier place to start when we began painting. Because we had so many painters, we were able to have a second teacher and that was very beneficial as there was a ton of activity as we all began painting. The teachers arrived early and brought Everything with them that we would possibly need - easels, paint brushes, paint, aprons, canvas. Everything. Everyone involved was super friendly and very helpful. The prices were VERY affordable too. We had a great time and I would definitely do this again, and our paintings turned out Awesome!!!

It was hosted by My Wine Cellar, who supplied one drink and offered up their happy hour menu for further indulgent. The pace of the class was good and the assignment was plenty challenging. We all learned a lot, being novice painters. One or two in our group ended up with paintings that I would actually hang in my house. We all walked out fulfilled and with a better understanding of why we should stick to our day jobs.

We were told to reach out when we were ready to leave so she could unlock the gates. When the party ended, I texted her as instructed, but she refused to open the gates. She claimed no such arrangement had been made and told us we would have to walk all the way to the front entrance and then back to our vehicles, instead of simply unlocking the gates. This situation was frustrating and unnecessary, especially after being given different instructions earlier. While the location itself is nice, the lack of professionalism and poor communication significantly impacted our overall experience.

It costs $6 for adults. My personal favorite part of the museum was the train room. There's also a small art gallery where you can buy pictures as well. Most of the gallery is reading. There is also a room dedicated to a small quilting club. It isn't mind blowing, but note that you can get a free 2 person pass from one of Phoenix libraries so I suggest doing that.
