Mullett Arena

I finally saw my first Sun Devil hockey game here and had a blast. I'm a big hockey fan going back to the days when the Coyotes first played in downtown Phoenix in the late 90's. I have never been to a college hockey game and made it happen this year. Mullett Arena is the perfect place for college hockey and allows you to get up and close to the action. Mullett Arena is a multi-purpose arena that opened in 2022. It is located next to Sun Devil Stadium and the basketball arena. It is home to ASU men's and women's hockey, volleyball, wrestling and gymnastics. They occasionally host other events like concerts. Mullett Arena holds close to 5,000 people. The name Mullett comes from the last name of a couple that are big financial donors to ASU. Students like to have fun with it and wear mullet wigs. The mullet haircut has always been popular with both the players and fans in the game of hockey. I am excited to go to more college hockey games in the future. Seeing a game here is a blast. They have a number of food options including Venezia's, Shaq's Big Chicken and Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers. Mullett Arena was once a temporary venue for the Arizona Coyotes from 2022-24. Sadly, this partnership was short-lived because the venue was too small for a professional team. The team eventually relocated to Utah. Hopefully the Coyotes will return in the future when we actually get a decent owner and a new arena for them. For now, I'll be rooting on my Devils at Mullett!

Always thought Hockey was a violent sport but wow I didn't expect it to be his fun!!! My boyfriend got us tickets for date night as we wanted to try something new and honestly we had a BLAST!!! The atmosphere, the people and the food were just immaculate. I would've never thought that I would like it but I loved it! Now the facility itself is brand new, has everything an arena needs and honestly is cozy which makes the games and the audience feel more welcoming. Will be back next season for sure!

This is a nice small arena with good views from most seats. Was there for a Valley Suns game with about 300 others in a 5000 seat arena. They definitely try and price gage you by charging $12 for a slice of a pizza and the usual high liquor prices. Also it was $20 to park and I spent $10 on the ticket.

Our first visit to the Mullet Arena was for an ASU women's volleyball game. The venue is a perfect size for a relatively intimate concert experience but you'd still get the stadium-like feel. The bathrooms were plentiful, which is very important as a woman since we all hate standing in line at busy events. The drinks were insanely expensive. You'd think that at an ASU game, they wouldn't charge through the roof for a drink, but Mullet doesn't really care. You pretty much have to give up your first born for a drink there. It was over $30 for two beers. I mean, come on. Highway robbery. I didn't like how they created the club area/ bar in the center of the walkway so you can't walk all the way around the venue. I'm not a fan of that design choice.

Intimate setting for an NHL game. We all know why it is hilarious that the Arizona coyotes have to play at this stadium. But my wife and I made it a point to go check out a game while they still played here as we wanted to see what an intimate 5000 seat experience would be like for a professional NHL game. It was a blast. We got to see the Oilers walk out from their dressing room, with plexiglass dividing us. We got to try a few food options, no frills/no fuss nachos and dogs. They had a decent local beer selection. The team store was comical, and small, but they had some cool pieces that we picked up. Overall, I had a really fun time. The negatives are that walking around in between periods is a cluster. Especially on the second level. They didn't have the foresight to build wider openings for such a small venue, it's a sardine packed slow walk when you try to walk around. The bathroom situation is also completely packed between periods. Way more than at a larger arena. We got lucky with our food order, but those lines also get insanely long. You also are stopped from making a full circle lap, as they have a VIP section that holds the flow of traffic on the second level, which is very frustrating. We went all the way to one side, thinking we could find the stairs, and they made us walk all the way back. I'm sure this is just growing pains, and the coyotes can't wait till they can get out of this arena, but it's definitely an experience you should try.

We came here for the Impractical Jokers and the arena is very nice. It's an intimate arena, perfect for a show. Clean, easy to navigate and the employees get you in quick. Ample parking.

This was my first visit to Mullett Arena, and I was NOT disappointed. It is a comfortable and modern college hockey barn, perfect for NCAA battles ... though I wish I could have taken in an NHL game in this trip to see how the atmosphere compares. I had access to the Coors Light Club, and the food, beverages and hospitality were terrific (especially like the medium rare tri-tip!). This is definitely an arena to have in your bucket list. Go Sun Devils!

Had such a fun time here watching an ASU game on Saturday night. Parking is close, although I am not sure how much parking cost as we walked. Mullet is easy to get into and concessions are readily available. Not much of a line up for the bathrooms, but for the important things- the seats. It such a good sized arena that most of the seats feel close. We will be back!

Great place for a Coyotes game, especially an OT Shootout win vs the Kings! Parking is $40+, the bathrooms are small, it's ALL cashless, but the atmosphere for Coyotes game is outstanding!

Absolutely hilarious at this is the home of an NHL franchise. I am from the Bay Area and the arena is no bigger than the San Jose barracuda arena which is for an AHL team. At least the parking was pretty easy to get in and out of. 30 bucks is a little steep, but what can you do when this arena seats less than a third of the capacity of a standard NHL rink.

Welcome to The Mullett! Popped in for an ASU game in October. Really nice spot for watching hockey. The arena entrance is at ground level and entry was a breeze. There are portals around the arena with stairs on the corners leading to the mezzanine concourse. It's important to note that neither concourse goes all the way around the perimeter of the arena. The lower concourse is U-shaped with no acccess underneath the student section. The mezzanine is blocked by the club which overlaps the blue lines. Concessions are plentiful around the concourses (hot food on the corners with beer scattered around in close proximity). Water fountains have bottle refill stations. This will be a great place to watch the Coyotes over the next few years and the Sun Devils for years ro come!

Took my girlfriend to her first hockey game. Such a unique experience but in the best ways. Go flames go!

This is a great place to see a hockey game. Most seats are close to the ice and even the upper level isn't anything close to what you'd call "nose bleed" territory. I was in a section with free food and drink and so of course I was 100% happy to be at the event.

No. It takes a lot of will power to drag yourself to the track in the morning and thus we should be able to check in and say, "LOOK AT ME. I AM AT THE TRACK." If you are looking for a place to do speed work, or just enjoy running in circles, this track is pretty nice. It has a little squish to it unlike older tracks. ASU unlocks the gates at 6am (or earlier) and does not enforce parking until 7am. This gives non-students a solid hour of track use. If you are a glutton for punishment, you can also run up the bleachers, plus it is a quarter mile away from A Mountain. There are bathrooms under the bleachers that are unlocked, plus a drinking fountain. There are probably other times the track is accessible and empty, but I am a morning runner so I can only speak about the morning.

It was about the perfect amount of activity for us as we got to try each of the activities once. There's about 8 active games including a batting game, tennis game, QB throw, field goal kick, boxing, skiing, soccer and more. Most of the games have a scoreboard that will display your score and have the top scores of the all time, weekly and daily. It's fun to see your name up on the scoreboard even when your score may be pretty brutal compared to the all-time greats. The staff was very helpful in checking us in and letting us know how each game works. There's a few games that are pretty simple and others that require some setting up (like getting boots and strapped in for the skiing. I enjoyed the QB throw the most but it looked like the bouncy basketball court was the most popular while we were there. We went on the Friday night and it wasn't very crowded...only have to wait maybe 5 minutes for any activity to open up. The place was pretty clean except I did notice they didn't spray down to clean the batting helmets after each person...that was kind of gross to put on the helmet and feel some sogginess. This may be a fun place for holding a birthday party for kids as they have ice cream, cereal and party rooms overlooking the area. For me it's probably a one and done visit, but we need more places like this where kids and families and have some good indoor activities besides bounce parks.

They're laid back and a fun social event. Since moving to Arizona a little over a year ago, I finally got around to checking out my first Diamondbacks Game with a group on a Tuesday evening at Chase Field. One of the downsides of this venue is that it's downtown. Which means parking isn't going to be easy. I pre-purchased parking for a decent price. If you're looking for parking when you arrive close to the stadium, you're going to get gouged by parking lots and garages with their event rates. If you're lucky, and you're willing to walk a little bit, you might be able to find some free street parking. That's what I'm going to try next time around. Now, let's get to the good stuff. Getting into the stadium was a breeze. There wasn't a line and you walk through metal detectors where you don't have to take anything out of your pockets. Always a plus. Once I got in, I was excited to check out another baseball stadium. Even though Chase Field was built a while back, the stadium is well maintained and looks newer than it is. We sat in the Banner Health area which is center field. Fantastic seats with great views of the game. The weather was perfect so they had the retractable roof open. When it's too hot (those Phoenix summers hit), they close the roof. Like most venues, you're going to be paying for overpriced food and drinks. That's no different here. I walked around the entire stadium to check out all of the food options. It's mostly your standard fare, and an assortment of mediocre chain restaurants. I wish the food options were a bit better (Minute Maid Stadium in Houston has better food options hands down). I ended up going with some honey chicken fries (loaded fries with hot honey chicken, bacon, and chives) from Four Point Brewing. While the fries had been pre-made and were lukewarm, they were quite good for stadium food. Good portion size too. Probably one of the star food options at Chase Field. Swing batter batter, swing!

Took awhile to get thru once we passed the security check-in and were filtering down a few levels to get to the floor. Of course there were a ton of people and we were packed like sardines but the flow was smooth and people were patient. Once we got to our seats, we got situated and Leon Thomas was already midway as the opening act. There was a slight mixup as one chair, the "30th" seat was missing on our row and we ended up moving down one seat to our left as the group with the seating issue kept trying to figure it out. Some numbers were missing on our seats but mine was visible and we could verify where we were seated. Luckily, our seat neighbors were nice people and accommodating since there seemed to be an extra seat that was empty. When we first arrived, there were some people who sat near our seats that weren't supposed to be there but you know there's always one of those so they moved. It was fun and festive. The woman in front of us with her daughter was recording the whole time as well as the lone guy next to my cousin who was doing the same and singing to EVERY SONG, LOL!! Thankfully we never had to use the bathroom as we went during dinner right before the concert. There were Porta-Pottys on the floor level inside as your bathroom. Also, you couldn't take an actual canned drink inside. Attendants had you put them in a cup unless they weren't paying attention and you had your drink in your see-thru backpack like the guy in front of me walking in. Speaking of, you need to look at bag dimensions and restrictions prior to going to the events. I looked ahead of time and brought a clear, plastic purse within the allowed guidelines/dimensions. Acoustics were great, there was never a glitch, 2 large screens on the left and right of the stage were great for folks seated far away and were a great visual for close ups even for us. Security was effective and checkpoints at the entrances went smoothly. It was a bit crazy getting out of the stadium but we got out. Getting out of the parking lot was another story. It was a long, log-jam and some vehicles were impatient and nearly hitting other vehicles just to get in the line to get out! I think the parking guides and traffic monitors could've done better in an orderly and streamlined fashion. In any case, we had fun and luckily people inside were nice and courteous. This was my 2nd concert at this stadium and am well-pleased with the ambiance. It was just the parking lot situation that needs to be more efficient. Hopefully they worked it out the next evening since Bruno played 2 nights here.
