Came for a volleyball tournament & the facility is freezing. They also had buckets hanging from the ceiling & lights hanging off to the point we thought they'd fall down over the girls. Not sure how they are allowed to operate with the roof in this condition while kids are playing. Parking is also terrible.

Courts were laid out so spectators sat on the side instead of the ends, which was a good thing. Parking was horrible.

My family checked this place out and the boys each bought a 35pt package for a sales price of $25…read more Each game and activity costs between 1 and 6 points, with the more popular ones costing 4-6 points. It was about the perfect amount of activity for us as we got to try each of the activities once. There's about 8 active games including a batting game, tennis game, QB throw, field goal kick, boxing, skiing, soccer and more. Most of the games have a scoreboard that will display your score and have the top scores of the all time, weekly and daily. It's fun to see your name up on the scoreboard even when your score may be pretty brutal compared to the all-time greats. The staff was very helpful in checking us in and letting us know how each game works. There's a few games that are pretty simple and others that require some setting up (like getting boots and strapped in for the skiing. I enjoyed the QB throw the most but it looked like the bouncy basketball court was the most popular while we were there. We went on the Friday night and it wasn't very crowded...only have to wait maybe 5 minutes for any activity to open up. The place was pretty clean except I did notice they didn't spray down to clean the batting helmets after each person...that was kind of gross to put on the helmet and feel some sogginess. This may be a fun place for holding a birthday party for kids as they have ice cream, cereal and party rooms overlooking the area. For me it's probably a one and done visit, but we need more places like this where kids and families and have some good indoor activities besides bounce parks.

Celebrated a birthday at Arena 23 and I'm so surprised it hasn't gotten more publicity! This place…read moreis seriously fun! It is geared towards children, however there were plenty of adults living out their pro sports aspirations. We paid $33 for 59 points (per person) with the All Star package. They gave us an hour time slot to use our points, but we ended up leaving 1.5 hours in with about 20 points left each on our accounts. It's pretty hard to spend your points and you have a time factor with waiting in (short) lines. We tried out their different sports activities to include a field goal simulation, batting cage, NFL combine relay, tennis, and even alpine skiing. Certain activities are solo but others you can compete as a team or 1 on 1. Some things to keep in mind: it's an indoor facility full of sweaty kids-so there's definitely an odor. There's a lot of items like baseball bats, baseball gloves, and helmets that everyone uses. I didn't see any hand sanitizer nor did I see employees sanitizing equipment. Some of the technology was malfunctioning and that impacted scoring, I witnessed numerous groups grow frustrated at the quarterback target practice simulation and the tennis game. There's a cafe inside and also tables to view or rest if you need a break. Looking closer at the facility I suspect they have a special area to host children's birthday parties. Overall, this is a fun spot for sports lovers of all ages!

A movie theater where you can get tickets for $3.50 AND snackies for less than $20?! WHAAAAT?!…read moreCount me IN!! I currently have a love/hate relationship with social media, but I'm so glad I came across a post showcasing this glorious theater located in Tempe! I was going to try it out by myself but the Crazy Cat Lady (if you follow me on the gram, you know who that is, lol) decided to come out from the boonies on a whim, so we went. We saw "Weapons" and it had us hooked to the end! No, the seats don't recline (they do lean back a little) or have swingy table tops for your snackies, but they have cup holders and they're not cloth seats, so for $3.50 (and $2.95 every Thursday) you really can't complain! The theater was clean and the nostalgic decor make for a very enJOYable experience. There's also an arcade in the front lobby to the left once you enter. My only little gripe is that the restrooms are on opposite ends, but that's a very minor setback. The concession stand has all the basics: popcorn, nachos, hot dogs, pretzels, candy and drinks. We got the combo deal for $11.95, which includes a medium drink, medium popcorn AND a hot dog (or pretzel). We ordered an additional small drink and the total came out to $15 and some change. I don't know about you, but I know a good deal when I see one and this here is pretty epic in today's economy! Of course the movies shown here are a few months old, but I love that because that means it's not crowded at all. I can't stand a packed theater. This would be a great place for a birthday party, team-building or just a simple no frills kinda date! There's a bunch of pic opps in here, too. Have yourself a blast and don't forget to take a pic with Chewie, like me! Lol!

Summer break in my youth was spent at the movie theater. I have a vivid memory of the ticket prices…read morebeing raised from $3 to $3.50 and being so mad. Fast forward 30+ years and you can imagine my excitement to pay $3.50 for a movie ticket! With cheap seat theaters you make the assumption there's going to be holes in the screens, broken seats, shotty sound and sticky floors however, pollack had none of the above. I caught two flicks today and both theaters were perfectly acceptable. In today's economy any night out comes with the expectation of the price tag going into three digit territory quickly. Pollack takes you back in time both in value and entertainment. You can even stick around and play street fighter 2 in the lobby/arcade. Call me "The Terminator" because "I'll be back"!
