Me and my husband have been wanting to check out this theater for some time. It is definitely unique, from the many collectibles to video games in the front. Love the idea of being able to catch an "older" movie for $3.50. Snacks are decently priced too. I was able to get the Pollack combo for less than $12. It included a hot dog, drink and medium popcorn. The theater was kept clean. I wish the chairs reclined all the way back, but it was nice that they did have a little rock in them. Definitely a great option for the kiddos.

My girlfriend told me about this theater. We came here to see Fly Me to the Moon earlier this afternoon. Seats were super comfortable, concessions more affordable than AMC or Harkins and the staff were very friendly. So cool to see all of the statues and memorabilia

My only regret was not knowing about this movie theater sooner. I love this place! They play movies that are not in chain theaters. They play old movies here. Last week I watched Disney's "The Princess and the Frog" and I enjoyed my experience here. The concession stand was highly affordable and you get a bang for your buck here. The prices are super cheap and the atmosphere is so interactive that I was browsing around for 30 minutes after my movie done. I highly recommended coming here to beat the Arizona heat. Great place for the kids

Initially you walk into a large interior with plenty of tables and a bar and restaurant with gelato and so much more. You can then order any food and drinks in your very comfortable seats in the movie theater itself. I went this past week with a friend to watch the release of the latest Avatar movie. We arrived a bit early to get something to drink and watch the previews and arrange our seats accordingly before the movie started. We pressed the button on the seat and the staff showed up quickly so that we could place our orders in person. I ordered a milkshake with chocolate gelato while my friend ordered a soda. The theaters themselves have large screens where you can see well from any seat. If you visit the RoadHouse Cinemas website (https://www.roadhousecinemas.com), you can see showtimes for upcoming movies, join their newsletter, join their loyalty program (for a free ticket before your birthday), and can even fill out a mystery shopper form after your experience for a chance to win a pair of movie tickets and $40 credit. You can also see upcoming events and a their menu. RoadHouse Cinemas is open 365 days a year and intentionally offers a movie experience combined with a special dining experience. They have an award-winning chef and restaurateur. They also have a creative full bar featuring wine, beers, and specialty drinks. They also have state-of-the-art digital projection and 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound. Needless to say, you're in for something special by visiting this theater!

For those that are unfamiliar with IMAX, the screen is 80ft wide x 60ft tall. 70mm screening are exclusive to this theater so I highly recommend viewing an upcoming film in this format if available. I forgot how immersive and amazing this huge screen is...once the movie starts you are locked in and it's hard to look away. We were 6 rows back near the center of the auditorium so they were pretty close to perfect seats. Two of the only downsides I experienced is 1) The seats don't recline and are pretty close together. I was rubbing elbows and bumping knees with the lady in the seat next to me (accidentally of course). 2) The walkway to the far end of the theater is down in front of the seats but you see people walking by very easily during the movie. Overall, this is a great way to watch a movie!

While we were watching the movie shortly after eating the popcorn, I started to develop stomach pain. After leaving the theater, both of us experienced severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, and significant abdominal pain. Even now, we are both still experiencing stomach pain and it has not stopped. The symptoms have been bad enough that we are scheduling a visit with our primary care doctor. We wanted to share this experience so the theater can review their food handling and so other guests can be cautious. We hope management looks into the freshness and safety of the popcorn and butter stations.

They also have a nice rock to them and the arm rests can be moved up and out of the way. As this is a dine in theatre, there are little tables set up for plates and drinks. Speaking of food - they have a pretty versatile menu! I splurged and went with the sampler - you get to choose three things, and I went with mozzarella sticks, fries, and chicken tenders. Solid food! The service was awesome. My server was attentive and kind, and made sure I was set throughout my visit. 10/10, no notes. This was a really rad lil time and I'm sure I'll be back :)

They also have limited engagements and monthly signatures, along with new releases of course. They always seem to have a good discount going on something, so if you're looking to spend under $10/ticket be sure to check their website or app for the best deals. This location has a full bar in the lobby with many regional beers on tap. You can also order food while in the theater and the friendly servers will bring it to the table between each pair of seats! Wednesdays they have a $5 menu for popcorn, pretzels and more. This is one of few places I can eat popcorn without any digestion issues...not something I can say at the larger rival theaters! The theaters are clean and spacious. While the chairs don't have automated controls to recline, they are large, comfortable and spaced apart so you're not rubbing elbows with the stranger next you. They have a lot of quirky and nostalgic advertisements and videos to watch before the movie starts. You may enjoy these more than your feature film! A few drawbacks are 1) the theaters are smaller than most...so if you're looking to watch a hot new release it may be hard to find seats during prime time. 2) Given the smaller theater, the screen is also on the smaller size. 3) As they deliver food during the movies, you may have workers walking by you often depending your seat choice. Their system isn't foolproof as I had them deliver me food for other people and watch my food go to other people. Overall, if you're looking to avoid the larger theaters and have some older-fashioned fun, this is a great place to visit!

The seats were comfortable, and overall the theater experience was really enjoyable. My only complaint is that I wish the armrests were removable because they take up quite a bit of space with not much space to set purses. I did grab a glass of wine at the bar, and the pricing caught me off guard--$20 for a 5 oz pour of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Since a full bottle was $50, a friend and I split one for $25 each, which was definitely the better deal. Still, $20 for a small pour is more than what a full bottle costs at the grocery store. But I get it--it's like buying water at Costco vs. a gas station vs. the airport. Prices go up depending on where you are. This use to be one of my favorite theaters because of the service and value. But now, the value is gone and the service is REALLY gone. They have no one working here except for a couple of guys handing you your cups and popcorn. There is almost zero human interaction and to be completely honest, it sucks. Then when you get into the theater they are scrolling commercial after commercial, which is fine, because I'm early and it's not even time for the movie to start. But then the previews start and they have a couple, THEN A COMMERCIAL, then they have a few, THEN A COMMERCIAL, and so on. Again, it would be fine except they advertise the movie to start at 8:00 but it doesn't ACTUALLY start until about 8:30 and that might not be something you plan for? Anyway, the seating is ok. Like they are individual but every two has a movable divider in case you're there with a date and want to sit close. They are comfortable enough I guess but they did seem a little worn. Now for the pricing, the ticket prices are out of control here which is probably why there's so few people in the seats (I would say 10% full) and the concessions? C'mon now, this is probably why they can afford to have mostly empty theaters, because the profit margin on these things HAS to be about 1000% and that's not even an exaggeration. $10 for a medium popcorn for example is just stupid. Anyway, at least I enjoyed the movie because WOW, had that been bad, I would feel like I just threw $65 in the trash after buying two tickets, two medium drinks, and one medium popcorn. They aren't MUCH better but I think I'll stick to Harkins since they originally are a local company, have better prices, and still DO have some human interaction.
