We wanted to switch up our Giants game and attend a non Scottsdale game. We saw the Giants play the Reds! It was quite a drive from Scottsdale and the area in Goodyear didn't seem that exciting haha. There was plenty of parking and it was on a grassy dirt area in front of the stadium. Surprisingly there were a lot of Reds fans too. The stadium did feel like a new, clean and cementy stadium. Plenty of vendors lined up for food, drinks and snacks around the park. The actual concessions were not the best at all though. It was cool seeing a little baseball field that little kids can enjoy and hangout. We sat super close to the field which made it a fun experience to enjoy. Overall the stadium didn't have any character and felt like a college stadium or something. I guess I'm bias with Giants having their own stadium. read more

Fun little ballpark with friendly staff and a comfortable feel. Food and beer selection has gone down in quality over the past couple of years; they shut down their great craft beer corner in left field, and pushed the other craft beer options to right field. Clearly trying to focus on the big box alcohol, making this stadium not as great an option for craft lovers. They also ran out of white wine the two games we were at which is completely absurd. Will still continue to come to games here but not as much the delightful experience it once was. Update: dropped this down to three stars because towards the end of the game they start to run out of everything, so you either don't get what you want or you spend your time walking all around. Lots of people don't sit in their seats, so just crowds of people everywhere. Definitely not a great experience for a craft beer lover. read more

I've been to the Goodyear Ballpark area a few different times--once to take my daughter's senior pictures, other times to enjoy the restaurants, dessert spots, and the beautiful scenery. There's plenty of parking available, including garage parking and lots located close to the nearby establishments. The area has lovely scenery, flowers, and great photo spots. Plus, there's a movie theater and additional shopping options within about 10 minutes, making it a convenient and enjoyable place to visit. read more

Came here for Spring Training and had a great experience! The Stadium was overall pretty cleanly, including the bathrooms. The setup of the stadium is great, they have kids areas, food areas and more clearly marked. I would definitely visit again! read more

This was on the bucket list of things to do before I expire.... So glad I visited. my buddy lives in Phoenix and drove us out!!! Parking easy, close by and some fans were tailgating. Stadium experience is awesome! So much food to choose from the variety is waht I was impressed with..... Bathrooms are easy to get in and out. Fan shops all over the stadium. All the workers had smiles on their faces and were happy to help with anything! The temperature was fantastic and the overall experience was superb! This is a great place to watch baseball. Not too many parks still have free parking but Goodyear does. The park has great seats, some in the shade. So many food options and real cocktails, albeit expensive. The bathrooms are super clean and very large. We have never encountered one grumpy usher. They are all so kind and accommodating. Came for two games and both were not only easy to get to, but also easy to park (free parking !) and walking in to your see or walking around is a breeze with maybe 6-7k a game attending ? Pricing for drinks and food are maybe a downside to it - $13 for a skyline cheese coney ? $6 for a powerade ? MLB ballpark pricing doesnt sound right but very fan friendly . Nice clean ballpark. Parking was free and close to entrance. Ushers were all so friendly and helpful. Good alcoholic drink selection, not just beer but cocktails too. My favorite is that they had a small Handle's ice cream booth. Seats were great. We sat behind home plate in row M so had shade the entire game. The seats at the top of the sections behind home plate have a table in front of them. They also have some other table seating out in right field and behind center field. Fun experience. read more

I went here for The West Valley Mavericks Food Truck Round Up. We lucked into some VIP tickets so we got to attend the VIP PAVILION with free drinks and some free food. We don't drink so we couldn't take advantage of that and most of the free food was just ok. To be honest, none of the food trucks seemed that appetizing so we only got a drink. There was some live music but not my favorite genre so the entire thing was just ok. I gave it 3 stars for the effort and the production as I'm sure a lot went into it. Based on the prices I seen for the VIP tickets, if you're not a drinker, definitely not worth the money. read more

With one exception (I will address at the end) we had a superb visit to Goodyear. We entered at the right field entrance and the 3 employees there couldn't have been nicer. Helpful, cheerful, and kind. The concessions were amazing. On the high side of reasonably priced. One usher did get after two kids who were hanging on top of the dugout, as is her job. They were blocking the view. They aren't very strict about sitting in your purchased seat, which I wish they were. (Fans were doing their thing, not watching the game, but what do you do?) Now leaving, the right field entrance employee told us where to go to meet our Lyft driver. Our Lyft driver entered where she was supposed to (she actually works at the park) and some old dude (employee) on a power trip jumped in front of her car and slammed his hand on her hood and then told her to stop, he was going to call the cops on her. We tried to say that was our ride and then he told us "stop! Get back! This woman is breaking the law!" She realized we were there for her so she turned around and picked us up, this old dude on a power trip screaming the whole time. Totally uncalled for. Every other employee there was very nice, kind and helpful and he was totally hateful. It won't stop us from returning to the park another year, but man, somebody get your grandpa out of the heat. read more

The Guardians and the Reds play at this ballpark! This ballpark does not charge for parking! This ballpark is a very nice lot to visit! Great choices in refreshments, especially for non beer drinkers! In the outfield they have a bar where cocktails can be stirred and great views from outfield in! Plenty of lawn room available if you like to sit in the outfield rather than in a seat! Always one of our favorites to visit! Great staff at this park! It has been several years since I have come to the park as I moved to Surprise. The experience has certainly gone downhill. The service at the concessions takes FOREVER. We got here 30 min before the game, we are now in the second inning and still in line and the park isn't even very full. The burger place ran out of burgers, the nacho place ran out of chips. They removed the ketchup stations. The pricing is ball park level pricing, 14$ burgers, 7$ hot dogs, etc. Park is well maintained, but the service has certainly not lived up to pricing. They force you to text the tickets for the game, they wouldn't scan, the lady asked the box office to print the tickets, the box office lady said no, she had to scan them, so it took like 3 different people with scanners to make them work. It has taken me too long to post this from Spring Training. It was very easy to find good parking. Great seating, I do not think that there is a bad seat in the stadium. On the downside, I really dislike missing the game because the concessions were very, very slow. The Polish Sausage the I purchased was very poor quality. Come on, ballpark hot dogs and sausages should be the very, very best. One last complaint, the stall in the men's room was missing the lock. read more

I've gone here about 5 times over the past 10 years and I absolutely love it, but I'm starting to think it might be more "basic" than the other Spring Training ballparks? But after reading reviews of the other fancier ballparks (I've only been to the one in Peoria and it seemed similar to this one), I'm kind of itching to explore them as well. But I'm reading all these horror stories about other ballparks that charge for parking and have long lines to get in; so I think it's making me appreciate the simplicity of Goodyear even more! I took my kids here 10 years ago and they were closed - doh - but somehow we were still allowed to walk around the stands? Probably can't do that now, but this place is just SO CHILL. I mean you can park in the parking lot and somewhat see the game. It reminds me of a high school or college field - and that's a compliment. Everything is just so easy. You can hang out down the first or third baseline, towards the outfield, and throw a ball with your kids and it's like being at a park. And oh by the way your favorite baseball players are over your shoulder playing a game. It's the best. I've splurged and gotten seats above the dugout, but literally every seat is super close. I personally wouldn't do the outfield seats because they seem further - at a MLB stadium outfield seats are great but why not be as close as possible for around the same price? Going back in 2 weeks. Gonna check out Camelback and compare, and 2 Reds games here at Goodyear. Only criticism is they COULD update that Barry Larkin mural and dress the stadium up a little more; more Cincinnati and Cleveland history would be great! read more

This is a great field to watch a baseball game at. We came to watch some spring training and had front row seats. If you're sitting in the outfield I highly suggest you have your head on a swivel because those balls come at you really quick! There is one gift shop with only their teams merch and one or two things of the other team. They had food trucks for various eating options and a grassy area to hangout or let the kids run around in. Bring a hat and sunblock if you're sitting in the open area because that sun will hit you hard. read more

Note to MLB...schedule more evening games! The Goodyear Ballpark has high marks for free parking, ease of parking and exiting the parking lot! The only low point that I can list is there is only one shaded area in the park. The spring of 2022 was a beast with higher than normal temps. When I found some evening games at the Goodyear Ballpark, my family and I pounced! Unless you know the weather will be mild, I would grab the shaded area for day games. Just like most of the other stadiums in the Cactus League, buyer beware on day games. Most stadiums have very limited shaded seats. See my other reviews to see which stadium has excellent shaded seats. Even if you are escaping hash weather to spring in AZ, the sun will punish you as it would a native. Drink plenty of water, over hydrate yourself if you are partaking in alcohol. Grab sun screen, a big hat and sunglasses. If you do not heed my warning, an EMT at the stadium will take care of you when you had to much sun, enough with my PSA for our visitors! If you have to eat at the stadium , they seem to have all the standard fare! I have not personally partook in any food, but have seen folks walking to their seats with everything you would want. The West Side is gaining so many eating options, so I would have a better meal outside then enjoy the game. Make sure you visit the ballpark's website for the dos and don'ts. You are able to bring in your own water and snacks. I would pack water for sure, save yourself some money! For my perfect ballpark experience, more grilled onion scent and more evening games! One more thing, the security scanners that you walk through when entering the ballpark. Insist that MLB provide you with the more modern scanners that do not require you to empty out your pockets. This is a bit of a weak point in the entire experience. Some of the other parks have the newer scanners. All ballparks should have a uniformed security process. For what is in the direct control of the Goodyear Ballpark, they are a well oiled machine! Bravo!!! read more

A little out of the way, this is actually one of my favorite ballparks to visit. Smaller than others with only one seating level, it's quaint and intimate. I've seen both day and night games here and enjoyed them both. Cool baseball statue out front, it's easy to walk around, and you can enjoy some local Ohio fare when you're here. Eat some Skyline hot dogs on a nice night and get up close with baseball. You feel like you're watching in a high school or maybe low-A minor league ballpark. Goodyear doesn't suck. read more

While Rome burns... Not unlike yelpers, lots of professional journalists also rank Cactus League ballparks. Looking at an article from 2018, I saw that some journalist had ranked Goodyear Ballpark #5 on the list of 10, placing the Spring Training home of the Indians and the Reds squarely in the middle of the pack. They rated it low in concessions which they said was offset by family friendliness, ample play areas for kids, and large mascots. Having now been to 5 of the 10 Cactus League parks I'm not sure I could assign rank the same way as this journalist did. To date, I've found each ballpark to be absolutely fine with some being a bit more fine than others. All I've been to are clean, with enthusiastic workers (often volunteers), and provide a worthwhile experience within which to consume baseball. It is true that Goodyear Ballpark doesn't think far outside traditional concessions; my Hot Link might've been the most exotic thing to be found in the park. About kid's play areas I care little, but I did notice a nice big lawn when I was en route to my seat. About large mascots I hold no opinion. Parking here was $5. My excellent seat a few rows behind home plate was $30. All reasonable and in line with costs at other Cactus League parks, maybe even on the lower end. As I've found at all 5 of the Cactus League ballparks I've been to, there's nothing about the this one that would cause me to purchase or not purchase a ticket here for any game I might wish to see. Well, maybe if I sought more exotic food than a Hot Link, but that's not generally my deciding factor. Goodyear Ballpark is good enough in every way. read more

What a pleasant surprise to find the stadium where the Cleveland Yahoo team plays, also the Cincinnati Reds. It looks like a beautiful stadium and I can't wait to go back to watch a game. Not time for spring season but we traveled out there to watch the hot air balloon event which didn't happen because it was too windy. My first time to an MLB spring training game! I was really impressed with Goodyear Ballpark! I arrived about 30 minutes before game time and was easily in my seat prior to the first pitch. Parking is efficient. If you come at game time you may have to park in the grass, but not really a big deal. There are no bad seats in this place. I sat in the first row in the outfield, was not crowded at all. Seats cost about $30. I'm from Chicago, used to Wrigley Field prices! This was a very reasonable way to take in a game. Not to mention the opening bid on both balls was more than just buying it off their website. After researching I found the the exact same ball on the mlb website $70 less plus comes authenticated in a nice case. I was stupid to just assume this was a good deal and legit! Buyer beware! My buddies were in town (A couple of them are Dodger fans) so we decided to check out an evening game here on 3/8/18. South of the 10, off the Estrella exit about 3 miles down on the left. Did not know that there was a Goodyear Airport! (Right behind the stadium!) Parking was $5.00. This stadium is shared by the Indians and Reds. We saw the Indians vs Dodgers. Decent food options (Skyline Chili) and beers were around $9.00 for a tall can. We spent the first few innings of the game posted up down the third base line, and the sight lines were very good. No upper deck here, standing room is above all the seats in the "bowl" below. Nothing super spectacular or cool about this stadium (I did like that it was smaller and more intimate), but it wasn't horrible like a few of the other ones (Looking at you Angels and Giants!) I've been to. Tickets were $16.00 (Lawn tickets are less $$, but they were sold out.) which is ok, I guess. Seems to get more and more expensive every single year. The day of the $8-10 SRO ticket is going by the wayside. Anyways......... Would I come back here to see another game? Probably. 3 stars. A-OK! read more

One of my favorite Cactus League parks. Multiple visits on prior years and again this year - happy to see how well they are handling the COVID policies to make game day safe for all. Great views from all seats. Average food options, but it's a ballpark. I recommend the taco salad for a nice deviation from hot dogs. Easy parking makes for good in and out without getting trapped in the lot. Nice place to take on a game. Worth the easy drive down I-10 for a day or night game. read more
