Like all other spring training stadiums, this stadium has great ballpark aesthetics. Plus the parking is free at this park vs other stadiums which charge 20 plus dollars. Of course parking cost is probably roped into the ticket price! What this stadium lacks in comparison to others is solid drink and food selection: stadium seems limited in variety of drinks. Stadium does not have a cocktail bar to kick back in. Despite the lack of variety, there are plenty of vendors. Stadium home teams are KC and Texas Rangers.

Beautiful stadium... Went to Spring Training this year, and caught a game at Surprise Stadium. The facility is beautiful, and well kept for almost 20 years old. The team of Sundancers working on the night of my game were all super friendly. The food choices though.,,YES PLEASE and THANK YOU! Boy are there a lot of options. And let me not forget about the ease of parking and cleanliness of the bathrooms...WOW! We will definitely be going to another game here when we comeback next year.

We are fortunate here in Arizona to be one of two states that hosts Spring Training baseball. Even though the games are not official, there is nothing like laying in the grassy outfield with a hot dog and a beer and watching a ballgame. Surprise Stadium is the Spring Training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers. Coming here was a drive for me because I come from the East Valley. But I went with a large group of friends and this is the stadium that they chose to go to. Surprise Stadium is a beautiful stadium. Even though it opened back in 2002, they have done a good job of maintaining it over the years. I will admit it was hard to walk into the stadium and pass by the Texas Rangers World Series championship sign. The Rangers recently beat the Diamondbacks in the 2023 World Series. But I got over it and enjoyed watching the game with friends. Our group had a blast as we got to see the Rangers play the White Sox. They have a nice variety of food options here. They have both Kansas City and Texas inspired cuisine. I tried my first Texas Dog and loved all the onions and peppers that they put on it.

My home team park, so it's hard to count off for much. It's a little smaller than a few others, so it's rather intimate. Free parking is nice. There's not a lot of choices for concessions, but the nachos are good. Separate team stores for the Rangers and Royals, and they kind of look like popups, which is a bit surprising. Know where the sun is so you can sit in the shade rather than bake in the sun. Like most of the other parks, great place to see a game:

Beautiful stadium. Very clean and the aesthetics were amazing. I love the hills out in the outfield. This is a great place to catch a game!

A great place to watch a Spring Training game. All seats are good. Parking is easy and free. Tickets for reserved seats were $20 and you can bring in unopened water and food in clear bags. The games go fast, 2 ish hours, and it makes for a great afternoon.

Finally checked out a spring training game. Plenty of concession stands to choose from normal stadium prices lol. I like that they donate their tips to a local school.

Cool stadium. Loved the Arizona influence aka cactuses !! Came for a Spring Training Game, flew into Phoenix and rented a car, easy drive to stadium and free parking. You can take snacks and water into the stadium as well. Craft beer to enjoy. Don't bothered with the food, the hotdog and pretzel we had was terrible. Enjoyed the nice April weather in the sun.

Most infield seats at Surprise Stadium are in the shade

Surprise Stadium, home of surprises: Surprise number 1: Fee free parking. Nice. Surprise number 2: Despite having won the World Series fairly recently, the KC Royals Spring Training stadium is not new or snazzy like the stadiums of other recent winners (e.g. Giants, Cubs). In fact, it's simple, clean, functional, a bit old-fashioned, and shared with another team, the Rangers. Surprise number 3: Owing to field placement and trajectory of the sun, infield seats here are in the shade despite what the person selling you the tickets might say. Looking for sun? Sit in the outfield, anywhere beyond 1st or 3rd base. Surprise number 4: Those shady seats along the first base line, a few rows above the visiting team's dugout? $35. What they don't get in parking fees they do get in ticket charges. Surprise number 5: Oh wait, they didn't get my whole wallet yet. The food and drink here is astronomically pricey. $19 for Saigon Noodles. $5.75 for a Coke. I spend less than this at a regular season A's game. Surprise number 6: The two craft beer booths each have one lone person working at them meaning that the line to purchase is long both in length and wait time. Two in my group gave up altogether lest they miss half the game waiting to purchase craft beer. Surprise number 7: That A's grand slam and subsequent win. Go team. Learning that a game is being played at Surprise Stadium would do nothing to incent me to stay home nor to purchase a ticket. Everything here is perfectly a-ok.

    Iced coffee was delicious!

A nice, well maintained ballpark that still looks almost brand new; I was "surprised" to learn it opened in 2002; very nice for a nearly 20 year old facility. Parking was convenient and very close to the gate. I appreciated the parking staff (volunteers?) except they forced us to park right next to all the other cars and that's not good when multiple doors are opening, people getting out of the car right next to you; not that safe, generally and certainly not in 2021. The stadium was clean with a wide concourse, and the seats were nicely distanced in "pods" of 2 or 4 seats. The ushers were helpful, and friendly, but lacked any authority, both as to some possibly intoxicated hecklers and when a girl got hit on the head with a foul ball, she was not helped or checked on. Food and drink in the stadium concessions was ballpark standard boring, but the vendors had some much better offerings including corn dogs, elephant ears, funnel cakes, ice cream, bbq and the best iced coffee I've ever had in a ballpark.

While not a Royals or Rangers fan, I appreciate going to a game for the sake of going to a game. A friend told me about their Minor League teams playing a 4th of July game (on the 2nd,) with fireworks. Game was fun to watch. It was much like watching a school game. As the game went into an extra inning, KC began heckling Texas. In the end, their heckling was for not, Texas won. The game ended three minutes before the fireworks. The fireworks show lasted over 20 minutes, and was set to patriotic music. Stadium lights were dimmed. It was nice to watch the fireworks from the seats. Policies for what one can bring in were not as strict as a Major League game. People were bringing in non clear bags. The gate we entered from allowed reusable water bottles, with liquid inside. The gate our friends entered from made them dump out their water. No weapons and bats were allowed in. Also, no glass bottles and alcohol. They do check bags. Concession stands were open for the game. Mostly old-school baseball staples; hotdogs, popcorn, nachos... Alcohol, water and sodas were also available. Seat were first come, first serve, for the game we attended. In the late afternoon, seats along the third base line were in the shade. Parking is free. It is a bit of a pickle to get out of.

We enjoy the annual Christmas decorations at the stadium. Due to covid we are missing all the family friendly events they used to have.
    Jessica S.

So many good memories here before covid. Texas Ranger training games, movie nights with the family on the big screen, Easter egg hunts, and sitting in the grass under the stars waiting for the annual fireworks show to start. It is always decorated for Christmas with a giant Christmas Tree and lights. I get a kick out of the die hard baseball fans standing with their glove outside the fences waiting for the balls to fly over during practice. I hope they intentionally let some go after seeing all the time they spend waiting in the Arizona heat. A lot of retired gentleman volunteer to direct traffic and keep things safe on Bullard when it's busy during practice season. Connected is our City of Surprise Recreation Center for social and sport activities for the family. Across the street they built a Texas Rangers office and across from that they are adding (The Fountains) which will be housing for the Kansas City Royals to rest after their long 10 hour days of training. We have leased a rental home a lot to players and their families in the past. It will be nice the new team will have a place to go. Looking forward to social events opening up again. This facility really brings a sense of community to our small town.

Mariners fans, here's your guide to a great day at the park…read more Head to the stadium early to watch the guys at the practice fields. It's free, and gates open at 9:30. See dozens of players on the various fields throwing pitches, fielding balls, and taking batting practice. On game day, the guys wrapped up practice around 11:50, so I recommend getting there at least by 11. Don't miss doing this--it's just as entertaining, if not more entertaining than the game. Where else can you see players this up close? Then, walk on over to In-N-Out or Raising Cane's for lunch before the game. They're about a 15 minute walk away. I feel odd recommending fast food, but you gotta try what you can't get back in Seattle! There is food at the stadium, but it's not discount prices. Expect to pay just as much (or more) for a drink than you would at T-Mobile Park. After lunch, head to the park for the 1:10 game. The stadium is very intimate, and there really isn't a bad seat. It does get hot tho--the seats themselves are very toasty. Fortunately, we brought some towels from the hotel to sit on. The couple in front of us had to go buy some towels in order to sit comfortably. Also, pack a small portable fan. As someone who doesn't like hot weather, the fan made a huge difference and made sitting in the seats tolerable. Lastly, bring a water bottle and some sunscreen. There are cooling stations throughout the stadium, and some shaded spots. Parking is right in front of the stadium, free, and plentiful. You do not need to worry about not getting a spot--especiailly if you come early to watch practice.

There's even a kids mini baseball field! We sat in Section 120. There's a good amount of space between the rows of seats and the section is right along the first base line. The bathrooms are close by. The only downside is there is NO SHADE whatsoever (this goes for most of the stadium). However, the weather was perfect today! If you're a baseball fan, make sure to come to a Spring Training game here at Peoria Sports Complex!

Took awhile to get thru once we passed the security check-in and were filtering down a few levels to get to the floor. Of course there were a ton of people and we were packed like sardines but the flow was smooth and people were patient. Once we got to our seats, we got situated and Leon Thomas was already midway as the opening act. There was a slight mixup as one chair, the "30th" seat was missing on our row and we ended up moving down one seat to our left as the group with the seating issue kept trying to figure it out. Some numbers were missing on our seats but mine was visible and we could verify where we were seated. Luckily, our seat neighbors were nice people and accommodating since there seemed to be an extra seat that was empty. When we first arrived, there were some people who sat near our seats that weren't supposed to be there but you know there's always one of those so they moved. It was fun and festive. The woman in front of us with her daughter was recording the whole time as well as the lone guy next to my cousin who was doing the same and singing to EVERY SONG, LOL!! Thankfully we never had to use the bathroom as we went during dinner right before the concert. There were Porta-Pottys on the floor level inside as your bathroom. Also, you couldn't take an actual canned drink inside. Attendants had you put them in a cup unless they weren't paying attention and you had your drink in your see-thru backpack like the guy in front of me walking in. Speaking of, you need to look at bag dimensions and restrictions prior to going to the events. I looked ahead of time and brought a clear, plastic purse within the allowed guidelines/dimensions. Acoustics were great, there was never a glitch, 2 large screens on the left and right of the stage were great for folks seated far away and were a great visual for close ups even for us. Security was effective and checkpoints at the entrances went smoothly. It was a bit crazy getting out of the stadium but we got out. Getting out of the parking lot was another story. It was a long, log-jam and some vehicles were impatient and nearly hitting other vehicles just to get in the line to get out! I think the parking guides and traffic monitors could've done better in an orderly and streamlined fashion. In any case, we had fun and luckily people inside were nice and courteous. This was my 2nd concert at this stadium and am well-pleased with the ambiance. It was just the parking lot situation that needs to be more efficient. Hopefully they worked it out the next evening since Bruno played 2 nights here.

There have been a handful of college national champions decided at this bowl. In 1998, the Fiesta Bowl hosted the first BCS National Championship Game. Out of all the teams in college football, Ohio State has made more appearances than any other team. I attended my first Fiesta Bowl in 1997 when I received free tickets to the game. Since 2000, I have been a Fiesta Bowl season ticket holder and have attended almost every game since then with my good friend from college. I also at times volunteer to be a balloon handler in the Fiesta Bowl parade. I love the Fiesta Bowl organization and all the charity work that they do in this community. They are currently sponsored by Playstation. They used to be sponsored by Tostitos and we would get a free chips and salsa when we attended the game. Later, Penn State's success continued as they drove straight down the field for a Saquon Barkley touchdown to make it a 14-0 Penn State lead. When the game looked like it was all Penn State, Washington responded with a trick play that took them down to the 10 yard line. Eventually, Jake Browning snuck in for a touchdown, to get Washington on the board. However, when momentum looked like it was shifting Washington's way, Penn State responded with a Mike Gesicki third-down conversion and a DeAndre Thompkins catch on the 1 yard line, which lead to a Miles Sanders touchdown. Penn State was able to get the ball again and have a chance to put the game way, but a costly fumble lead to a Myles Gaskin score. Eventually, half-time came and went and Washington got the ball. They then went on to drive down the field for a touchdown to make it a one-score game. However, Trace McSorley lead Penn State right down the field for a DaeSean Hamilton back shoulder touchdown catch to put Penn State up 35-21! Penn State had another chance to put the game away with the ball in the red-zone, but McSorley had another unlucky interception, which lead to a long Myles Gaskin score. Washington was within one touchdown again. Penn State once again drove down the field up by one touchdown and had a chance to put the game away with a Tyler Davis field goal, but from 45 yards away, he pulled it. Luckily, Washington had no time outs and only 30 seconds to score. With 15 seconds left, Jake Browning converted a fourth-down, but a hook and later lead to a fumble recovered by Brandon Smith!!!
