Been here for concerts. Now I've been here for arena football. Desert Diamond Arena is a 13.5-acre, multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility located in Glendale, Arizona. Opened in 2003, it anchors the massive $1 billion, 223-acre Westgate Entertainment District. The venue is currently owned by the City of Glendale and managed by ASM Global. The Arena can hold up to 19,000 attendees and features 87 luxury suites and 3,075 club seats. They have also been the home of the Indoor Football League's Arizona Rattlers since 2024. With all that said, it's a great arena weather you're here to catch a shower or watch some sports. They even set off some fireworks indoors for the Arizona Rattlers' games which I find insane. read more

I waiver between 3 and 4 stars -- the actual show was amazing so the tech and lights and everything are great. My seat was also good even though it was far back with all of the projections you could see everything. I got a last minute ticket to see Florence & the Machine. My friend and I wanted to grab a bite and a drink prior to the show so we showed up super early but despite a million restaurants around almost every spot had a super long wait. When we finally got in to the arena they had very limited food selections -- quite disappointing actually -- and WAAAAAY over priced!! For a titos and soda (double so I didn't have to keep going back) it was almost $40!!! I spent more $$ on food and drink then I did on the tickets -- that really seems wrong. We ended up with seats on a special club level which was super nice because the seats were very comfy and the bathrooms were so nice and clean and close by -- so that was a major plus. The place was a madhouse (the whole Westgate area) we ended up leaving before encore because we took a Lyft and wanted to make sure we didn't have to wait a million years to get one out of there. Plus that part was really confusing where to drop and pick one up for Lyft/Uber -- but we finally made it out. Next time I will drive as parking seems a plenty (for a price but still less than I paid for a lyft there and back) read more

I attended a Bad Omens concert at Desert Diamond Arena recently. I hadn't been to this arena in about 10 years and as I expected the surrounding area has fallen off after the Coyotes (NHL franchise) left. There's quite a few tenants in the Westgate center that have disappeared. The arena itself is getting quite antiquated. It's a typical oval/hexagonal shape so there's a lot of walking if you don't enter near your seating section. The worst part is there's not many options to get to the 2nd level (which is really about the 4th level). I took the stairs (no escalator or elevator in sight) just after injuring my knee and it was a painful climb of about 75 stairs. The upper seating section is also quite small and cramped. For seats near the ceiling the sound and was still good...but it's probably hard to watch other types of events in here. read more

My family and I had the honor of watching our loved one graduate! The arena is okay, I've been to better. There are lots of seats so that's nice for capacity reasons. There weren't a lot of food options which is different from arenas I've been to. Maybe I was on the wrong side of the building but if there are food spots they should be spread out throughout the building. I like this venue. I went to see a Rattlers game. I sat in section 228, This is the highest up you could possibly sit for this game, and it was a great view. I can still see the players/cheerleaders/halftime drummers fine. Sure, I did look at the big screen because it was there, but I'd still be able to see & enjoy without. I'd call this a more intimate setting for sporting events. I wouldn't mind coming here for more events. The seats were almost perfect. We sat in the last row of the section, so there were constantly people chatting & eating directly behind us on the railing. Chatting amongst yourselves during events is to be expected, but there were people basically right in our ear the whole time. I'd have to sit in a row further down or if there is a section with no back railing when I come back here. I wish the venue had "standing tables" further back from the seats. If you have been to a spring training game at Surprise Stadium (Royals or Rangers), then you know what kind of tables and spacing I'm speaking of. I also wish the railing was maybe more of a mesh or something flimsier that people wouldn't be inclined to eat at or lean on. There's potential for a 5 star visit my next go-round now that I know what I dislike. read more

First time visiting the Desert Diamond Arena. I was there for a "Nine Inch Nails" concert. Parking was pretty easy. We got a spot on SpotHero that was close by. I think it was $21. It was in the State Farm arena parking area. The line was really long outside the arena but it moved fast. There were plenty of food and drink options inside the area. Our seats were in the lower level. I really liked the set up. It's a smaller venue so it felt really quaint. I really enjoyed the concert and venue. read more

Nothing as a wow experience but still a place surrounded with plenty of options to enjoy so this place gets a good location benefits and one extra star for that reason. Went here for a football match. While the checkin and seating was decent, the food was pathetic. One of the worst stadium food we ever had. If it was not about snacking during match, I would have not wasted money in food at all. Go here for matches and control your urge for stadium food and save that money to exit stadium and eat out since tons of restaurants are all around the stadium. read more

II went to Desert Diamond Arena a to see a concert, and I was blown away about how great the venue was. The staff were friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. There are tons of restaurants and bars nearby if you want to grab something before or after the event. Inside, the arena was clean, well-organized, and the food and drink options were solid. It was clear they put effort into making sure guests are comfortable and having a good time. Overall, Desert Diamond Arena is one of the best spots in Phoenix for entertainment. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to see an event. read more

On October 3, 2025, my husband daughter and I attended the Hans Zimmer concert at the Desert diamond Arena. We stayed in suite 1113 . They do offer a QR code if you want to buy order a large amounts of food and beverages, but since it was us three, we decided to go out of the suite to the outside bar, which was very close to our suite . Bathrooms were nicely, organized with feminine products, mouthwash and lotion. There were stairs and elevators that were easily assessed down to the lower level to buy merchandise. Overall service and the staff were very pleasant. I do with going through the VIP side entrance for a quicker route to your seat. You will get a stamp on your hand so staff know, to not have to keep asking you for the ticket on your phone , just show your stamp and you can easily assess back to your VIP area if you go down to the general population read more

We recently went to the Billie Eilish concert. There was issues if you bought your tickets anywhere other than Ticketmaster and this arena cause panic for people buying tickets elsewhere. Ultimately 3rd party bought tickets were honored the day of the concert but it was unnecessary the problems caused. Overall, the venue staff was nice, the seating was seamless and the sound was great. The experience for this particular concert wasn't great but it wouldn't stop me from attending a future concert at this arena. read more

Maybe keep concessions open during the entire event? I waited for the line to die down during the Globetrotter game at halftime. I went back up 5 mins after the half and I caught some attitude from some girl when I asked to get a pretzel. So I went back to my seat and sat for another 45 mins until the game was over. The food is very limited overly priced very old at times and not properly being kept cooled or kept hot. The facility feels neglected and depressing. The seats are falling apart, the numbering is so faded you can barely find your spot, and if you're tall, forget about it--there is zero legroom (buy floor seats for max room) Toss in a dismal food selection, and you have a venue I'll be avoiding like the plague. The arena was great and the acoustics were perfect. I could hear every word. It was an honor to be in the building used for overflow during Charlie's memorial. Also great was that I found a hotel less than a half mile from the arena and didn't have to deal with a long wait for a cab or Uber. read more

I had a memorable experience at the desert time and Arena to see Monday night raw. The memorable thing about this trip was that there was no food anywhere in any of the food venues. We were lucky to find some chicken tenders and nachos. They had already run out of hotdog and the event had not even started yet. What kind of venue has an event that starts at dinner time on a Monday where people are racing from work to get there and not have any food? Inexcusable. Here is the problem with this arena. There was a 45 million dollar so called renovation done to this arena last year. They only painted the outside and remodel the bars downstairs. The seats are the same seats from 23 years ago and the whole second level was not touched at all you can still see anything that had to do with the Coyotes when they played there. The seats are so uncomfortable after sitting for 15 mins, we were thankful when the concert started and we could stand the whole time. I would rather go to Mortgage Matchup downtown then see a concert here. Only good/bad thing was we did get upgraded to the lower bowl since they closed off the upper bowl but when you have ends seats and end up in the middle of the row it is a little annoying to either ask people to move or just jump the seats to the row behind you that was empty and get out that way. Not sure how they chose where to move people which was off and I still want to know what they spent the 45 mil or that was one expensive paint contract. Concert was great and add it a free for all when leaving since there was one guy to direct traffic, but it is the city of Glendale read more

This is probably one of my favorite venues/area now. I went to Desert Diamond Arena for a kpop concert for a group called Enhypen! I bought my parking pass on AXS for Lot J for $15 + fees! The lot was a little difficult to find since I am unfamiliar with the area so all I did was simply ask the parking workers on where to find it! We drove up and got our ticket scanned and was told to park wherever we want. The walk was very short to the entrance as well! First was the security check in & the lady I had was such a sweetheart. I have had heard that this arena's bag policy is size dependent and doesn't matter if the bag is clear or not so that surprised me a bit since all the concerts I've gone to required clear bag only. The bag I ordered from Amazon was an inch bigger in length but the lady seemed to have no problem with it? I think because I also had less content in my bag? No idea. But i have had heard people's past experiences with security and their bags. Anyways concert happens and ends, we leave the venue and it was another short walk to our car and it was VERY easy to leave the venue and get on a freeway!! We were very surprised because we're just so used to how hectic concerts can be and were mentally prepared to be stuck in traffic for a while. But NO! It was the exact opposite!! I laid in bed last night waiting to write this review. Let me tell ya.. you guys are a mess. I went to the A Day To Remember concert last night and while the show was good, this venue and how they operate is absolutely mind boggling. Rather than having general admission enter at Gate 4, you know, the main entrance, the entrance that is mostly shaded from buildings, they had us all the way at entrance 7.. south facing, without any proper shade at all. When we walked up, someone was being taken away on a stretcher. People were in line sweating, sitting on the ground and pouring water on themselves to cool off. At one point I looked at my best friend and thought I was for sure going down. A security officer walked up to me and measured my tiny clear plastic cross body bag and told me "it's a smidge too much but we'll let it slide" then proceeded to kick multiple people out of line for having too big of CLEAR PLASTIC BAGS. It is 2024, get a freaking clear bag policy. You're going to make people walk all the way back to their cars after standing in the sun for an hour in 115° heat?? You're joking right? Then, we finally hear "doors open!" And think "thank god". They then proceeded to start snaking the line and giving us wrist bands.... Huh? ITS 115° OUTSIDE you freakin idiots. Let us go through your crappy metal detectors who, by the way, didn't go off even though my phone and belt were in my pocket....??? And give us our wrist bands right when we walk in. Finally after enough people bitching or maybe the fact that the workers were outside for a whole 5 minutes and realized how bad the heat was, they did just that. Security, ticket scan, wristband. We were on the floor in GA. Right up at the corner on left stage. They have the barricades for the stage and then to the left was another barricade making a "hall way" for people coming out of the pit/crowd surfers. A woman and her daughter made their way in the middle of the show needing help. They get up against that left barrier and could not get out because there was no way for these barriers to open.. that is a huge freaking safety no no. The woman was about 60, unable to climb over it, and EMS couldn't get to her. From where we were standing back to "exit" out of the floor was maybe about 40 feet, and during a headliner and needing help, that is the fight of your life. Multiple security guards were trying to open the barricade but couldn't do so leaving it up to a group of guys next to us needing to pick her up and place her over the barricade.. Next, the show ends. There's a staircase going up the main floor where you exit the building and they wouldn't let us go up. They actually wanted us to exit way in the back of the floor and make our way out. Someone started yelling "thank god the place isn't on fire or we would all be f***ed"... and he was right. God forbid something actually would have happened, there was no freaking way for us to escape or get out safely. All that being said, have more common sense, do better and make it safer for people. Had I passed out from heat exhaustion because you guys were too dumb to not take direct sunlight in a 115° day into account while paying for a $140 ticket, I would have freaking sued you. read more

Terrible service with the workers. It was my first time attending an evenr at this arena and it was my worst expierence. All of them had attitude at the Billie Eilish concert, even to people who didnt do anything wrong. They never listened to people. I went to the Billie Eilish concert and had terrible expierences with the workers. They split up my group even though all the tickets were on one phone, then when we were split up and they were letting us in one older lady wasnt listening to me when i said my friend had the tickets and she was the next row over. She yelled at me saying how she wasnt talking to me and i pointed my friend out which the lady grabbed my arm saying how she wasnt talking to me. Which then I got upset and another worker got involved. Multiple other issues happened. Every worker had attitude, no one had a smile on their face and it was one of my worst arena expierences for a concert. I am very dissapointed in Desert Diamond Arena and its workers. read more

The 2 stars is for the one nice employee that actually welcomed me and my sisters in our seating section and offered to be of service for anything we needed. He went the extra mile, which you don't often get these days, so that was a pleasant surprise. The second star goes to the one and only The Cure, which I came to see here. First off, for a band as huge as The Cure, they didn't deserve to be in this sad excuse for a stadium. They are well worth a stadium like the State Farm Stadium, which was just across the way from this place, or Chase Field. Whoever was in charge of booking their tour completely missed the mark. So, first off, no stadium approved 12x12 clear bags are allowed? Only small clear clutch bags or you're out of luck and have to hand carry your phone/wallet. That's it. I've never run into issues at any of the other stadium/arena venues all across the valley. We had to walk back to the parking lot and stash our bags in the car. Yep, no lockers to rent to do that at this place. Once we got to our row for our seats, we had an awful time getting to them, as the extremely sticky floors hindered us from reaching them. It was a relief to find out that our seats were padded, so that was about the only saving grace here. As for the seats, I'm 5'3, and these seats are intimate...as in barely fit okay for me. I can't imagine what it'd be like for a tall person. Petite folks, you'll be ok. Everyone else, good luck! You've been warned. Now for the kicker (and I feel sorry for the people all the way across the arena, far from the stage), they did not utilize the jumbotrons above the middle of the stadium floor; something you'd expect for them to use for a concert. Every stadium concert I've ever attended that shares this type of setup has always used every jumbotron available to them. Here? No. They only had a screen behind the band/stage and two smaller screens on the sides. It was pretty sad. As much as I enjoyed seeing The Cure, the stadium itself left much to be desired. As a first timer to Desert Diamond Arena, I can't say that I was impressed. I had high hopes, but sadly, this place didn't meet expectations for me. read more

They have rules, but it's hit or miss as to when and who will actually enforce them. They let restricted bags in, and sometimes allow sealed smart water in, then the next time they won't let you bring sealed smart water in. It's stupid when it's 100+ degrees not to allow guests to bring a water in! Some people require more water than others, and shouldn't have to spend $8 for a crappy water bottle because your stadium doesn't know how or when to enforce rules. read more

We drove from California to Arizona for the ridge riders bullriding event and the first night going in was fine the door people even saw my disability was an issue since I use a cane with a seat & called me over from another line to get me in faster, but Saturday night the guys were ridiculous & seem to be targeting those of us that were of minority type, I'm black & my husband is Mexican & they took a while & had him throw away this tiny fingernail clipper that he always carries, & even checked his hat twice, I even said, are you serious he's an officer & you're worried about a fingernail clipper & was ignored-HOW RUDE, NO RESPECT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT! Retired or otherwise he was even wearing a wristband that said retired officer but guess this arenas staff doesn't have any respect for officers. Such a disgrace. They gave the man in front of us a hard time too about something on his Keychain that was very tiny & oh he happened to be of an ethnic origin too- JUST SAYIN..Maybe its a pattern with some staff here. Very disappointed, being a retired registered nurse from CA, I definitely don't recommend this place based on how I & my husband was treated here, yes a couple bad apples can spoil the whole bunch!!! read more

The only reason i gave it two starts is because Mercy Me and Tje Newsboys were so good! The arena SUCKED !!! The acoustics were terrible. The only large screens were on the stage! For us in section 114 we were just out of luck. We couldn't hear the words and unless they were on the screen or knew the song we were screwed. When the artists spoke we couldn't understand them. It seemed there were no speakers at the back. And don't get me started on the price of parking, taxes, fees and snacks and drinks inside. We won't pay for that again. ever read more

This about the parking. I have been working at Westgate which is next to desert Diamond arena for 10 yrs. Last Saturday I was told it cost $40 to park at 9pm. All of the l events had ended. I got a fraud alert from my bank for duplicate charges. First round we ordered doubles. 2nd round singles. Yet we were charged $84.64 twice. My boyfriend ordered a single round as well on his account. $84.64 hit his account. How are doubles and singles the same? They take advantage of customers that already pay an absorbent amount on tickets and parking, and merchandise hoping they don't notice. I came here for the first time ever with my mom in August of 2023 for a concert. Their website specifically said they only allow clear bags of a certain size like most venues so I went on Amazon and purchased a small clear cross body bag. We got into the venue with no issues and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Came back yesterday on March 9th, 2024 for a play with my mom. I did notice that this time their website said no clear bags allowed, hmmmmmm does that even make sense? Why would a venue not allow a clear bag? Don't they want to be able to see what you have on you and quickly? I let my mom borrow the same bag I used during our first visit and I brought a small clear pink bag. This short fat lady checking our bags puts mine in the basket and holds a piece of paper up to my bag and says it's too big and that clear bags aren't allowed. My bag was literally only big enough to hold 2 pill bottles, my phone, 2 credit cards, my ID and a lipstick. I couldn't even fit my wallet in it because it's so small and this lady is talking about my purse is too big and I can't bring it in because the venue has a no clear bag policy LMAO!!! I told her "Um, we were just here last August and you guys said clear bags only and I purchased this bag specifically to come to a concert and I was let in" as I pointed to my moms bag. She kept trying to argue with me and said the rules changed LOL!!! GTFO WITH THAT BS! YOUR RULES DIDN'T CHANGE IN 7 MONTHS! I'm getting pissed asking to speak to a supervisor because the show is starting in 10 minutes and i'm not about to walk our bags back to the car. I ask the lady what i'm supposed to do I have medication with me and i'm not about to walk around the venue carrying two pill bottles. Its after this exchange that she tells me to go to door 3 and they will let us in with our bags which is exactly what we did and sure enough they let us in.
